Anybody heard anything concerning release date of the EP45-UD5? I'm in the tinkering mood again.... That should be a fun toy.. Have any review samples surfaced? An SLI Modded bios for the UD5 could convince me to keep this platform for another year! Or even some decent crossfire would be nice.
That isn't enough bubbles to be worried about. My system has been producing way more bubbles than that for over 6 months and i've never had a cooling issue. i doubt you'd even see 1 degree temp drop without those small air bubbles.Quote:

what thermal compound are you using? Never mind i see. Remember, it doesn't take much. Also you may have a warped IHS or water block. Have you considered lapping them? Just for reference.. I'm using a similar water cooling setup. At idle with 1.39v 4400mhz i'm at 40-41c. Prime Small FFT 65-66c to start then reaches 70c. I've been running this setup for almost a year (9 months) 24/7 with no problems. Last night i ran a 3dmark06 50 loop at 1920x1200 8x AA and 8x AF. Took all night but it completed with a score of 16056 and max temp of 69c with real temp. I've never been able to run IBT like some others here, just too much heat. What are your temps with Prime95 Small FFT?

At 1.4125vcore bios, Cpuz and Everest read 1.376v. That is odd to get almost 0 drop with the UD3P. I have 3 UD3P boards, 2 rev's, 1.0 and 1.1, all 3 have pretty much the same vdrop.
It is what it is.... .01-.02 vdrop. It *may * be 1.425 or w/e, but no more then that. Any assitance with my actual questions? :)
Try changing your advanced clock control to 800/800/0/50. You may need more mch 1.40-1.440v . Also you may have to up your trfc with that ram, try staticTread value of 9.
I got the UD3P (rev 1.1 F9 BIOS) 3 days ago, want some help with settings:
Q9650 @ 4.15GHz, 1.312v load (LLC enabled) rebooted P95 Blend at 7hrs. I had raised CPU Ref from AUTO 63% to 65%, but should MCH Ref be same as CPU Ref? I still have MCH Ref @ 63%.
63->65% CPU Ref gave me 1.5hr more on P95 Blend before reboot.
Also, if I use 2.1vdimm, should the other "dram voltages" be set to 50% of vdimm, or atleast above 0.900v ?
CPU and PCIe drive...I read forum posts the new F10b defaults these to 700mv, I set 800mv on both, would I benefit setting them 700mv ?
MCH Skew, used 50ps on earlier attempt, rebooted 1hour earlier than 0ps.
Don't have much left on AUTO, PLL and ICH are set 1.5 and 1.2v and rest on Normal to prevent overvolting. I also read somewhere, PLL 1.50v overvolts and 1.45v would be fine ?
Oh, and vcore... Shows up in cpuz with 16mv intervals....1,280, 1.296, 1.312...same in BIOS "PC Health", nothing inbetween.
My 1.3500v BIOS = 1.312v idle/load, seen ppl with 1.328v ..??

There's probably nothing wrong with your setup. I went through the same thing with a couple of low vid chips. They tend to clock very well but all the ones I've had run really hot compared to other chips. You should also be aware that IBT will heat your CPU well beyond anything you will see during normal use. It's not uncommon to see temps in the 70's even on water. Don't waiste your money on a new waterblock, you'll likely not see more than a couple of degrees difference. Lapping your IHS may help bring temps down a bit.Quote:

Your room temp is 32c-33c. That is pretty warm. With high ambient room temps you are trying to cool with warm water. 75c Prime at 33c ambient is not bad IMO.Quote:

Here's the problem. I can't for the life of me get ram to work at stock speeds. For the pc8500 i was stuck at maybe 1000mhz after EXTENSIVE tweaking. I can't even get the 9200's at 1100mhz stable.
Regardless of straps, multipliers etc. I just have memory speed barriers. FSB isn't really a problem. I can easily run 533-550 fsb. After that, the memory speed becomes limiting though I'm sure it could go higher, like 600 or whatever.
using the F9 bios..might try changing down to F8/ F5?

Basically, i need someone to tell me what's wrong. Because I know i've tried everything i should have tried to even get ram to work at STOCK frequencies. The blades have slight improvement over the Reapers. But still. they've run up to 1200mhz on another system. I should be able to run 600fsb 1:1 4.2ghz on this system but this is just holding me back :/ HELP.
edit: also using CAS 4 timings at 1000mhz doesn't work at all either. It's like the system is just gimping the memory....

edit: 2. For kicks...I can run 8gb at 1000mhz woot.
Try setting the frequency latch to auto and use system memory multi 250A and see howthat does. I have the LV Platinums and thats the only way i can get them up to speed. But only issue is you will be fsb limited with 250a, puts the ram at 4:5.

Seems the hot one's do better with lower voltage, really weired how they run soo hot at low voltage though.
