Wow, you're actually right. I'm used to seeing one or two of those threads on the first pages, but ever since this thread was updated, they've been very quiet.

Can't wait to see the improvements you've made into the new designs BoxGods. I really hope it's gonna be all ok this time.
There is has been very few alternatives for bay pump-res combo for the D5 pump.
Frankly I think it's brilliant. Reliability of the D5, combined with convenience of a bay res. Just have to work out some kinks in design and manufacturing part.
Please, don't hesitate to over-design. Should always have tolerance to accommodate some manufacturing defects. I think I speak for everyone here that we water cooling pc people really would like something that is reliable instead of just looking nice.
I am talking about idiots who PM you threatening you or ball-less folks who talk smack online but will not meet you in person to do it to your face even when you provide ample opportunity.
I fully support people who have problems with products posting their experiences and concerns which I why I bend over backwards to help people in the minor ways I can.
Agreed. That is frustrating, but what do you do (besides laugh at them)?
Don't confuse those folks with the people with real concerns, in a way the ball-less ones take away from those with honest complaints.
so ninjas are bad, but ninja turtles are still cool right? (with their turtle power)
I am a BIG fan of overkill so no worries there. My original T3 design as submitted to the injection molding company had almost 40% more mass then the finished product ended up with. Even that extra mass in thicker walls and screw areas would not have helped with the number one issue clear injection molded reservoirs face though. Acrylic, poly carbonate and virtually ALL clear plastics have a tough time with chemicals as benign as alcohol and forget about tougher stuff like ethylene glycol. It does not matter how clever the design is or how great the performance is if the base material has issues with those chemicals.
From the COMPANIES perspective, Primo Chill in the T3's case, your put into an awkward position because a certain number of customers are going to peel the warning label about alcohol and EG off without even reading it and when the plastic cracks from exposure they are pissing mad. Those of you who have been following this thread for a long time will remember more then one person who ranted and raved about their T3 and its awesome performance and mentioned using a coolant with EG in it. A few days later they are posting scary pictures of horrible cracks and swearing they only used baby unicorn tears. You can't call them out on it either so its grin and replace it.
When there are also legitimate issues that cause cracking (and there have been) like the extra UV stabilizers or the metal inserts (which also lead to breakage from over tightening in some cases IMHO) it just gets harder. My point in that looong answer is that from now on I won't be designing clear injection molded reservoirs as the teething process is just to traumatic. Its Delrin and nylon for me from here on out.
Agree 100%. A failure is a failure till it's fixed.
You called him out and he loaded his drawers and declined DB. Get over it already as he is NEVER going to grow a set and show up man. Those who can, DO. Those who can't talk doo doo. :)
BoxGods, if you design a T3-style res in Delrin I will go on record right now to say that I will be the first to preorder one. Always wanted to get a T3 and a black Delrin model would go PERFECTLY for what I have in mind doing with my current project. Keep me in the loop if this is something you might consider...
Did you redesign the inlet for the D5 version to boost single outlet performance?
I did have to alter the pump design to account for the different material and of course to make it machinable. Machining every single part verses one that is used for a mold means you have to simplify as much as you can or the product would be VERY expensive. Even in it's simplified version machining single units for samples is more then anyone would pay because of set up fees (a $1,000 set up fee divided by 4 verses that divided by say 500 or 1000 units for a production run).
I know your very busy with the new site redesign (which looks awesome btw) or I would have sent off a sample for testing. I can still if you think you can get to it faster then 2-3 months =)
BG, do the Delrin models still incorporate the PEC?
Yes, though I had to alter the volume to accommodate the change in the T3's main chamber volume and to streamline machining.
As I have posted before, the best way to "see" what the delrin or premium T3 is about is to think of a dual bay Split Window with the same rear mounted D5 and port configuration found on the standard T3. The Delrin model has the same machined aluminum face plate and also replaces the 4 screws and acrylic mounting plate with a machined aluminum compression ring with a knurled surface. It works pretty much the same way the ring on the stock D5 does. It also can use a new motor cover or "full conversion" type of pump mount I designed that will sell as an option, (it also fits the 2 other new D5 pumps coming out shortly).
Quick Question BoxGods,
Are the aluminum parts you describe above isolated from the water/coolant in the loop?
I like your design and this is one of the best ideas I've seen for as D5 pump. I just used DI water, no additives nor do I want to use any additives.
How soon till you can post some specs / pics of the delrin design?
Yes the aluminum is separated so there is ZERO contct and no danger of galvanic corrosion. There is a laser cut acrylic window inset into a cavity machined into the face plate that seals via an O ring between the acrylic and the delrin body.
The image bellow is an exploded view of the split window but the design/assembly is the same. It shows how the aluminum is isolated pretty clearly.
http://geno.boxgods.com/repack_twin_exploded_view.jpg
I will post images etc. as soon as I get the OK from Primo.
Any idea BG on when they will be available?
1/8" for the non front port models. The front port version is also 1/8" but has extra 1/4" thick areas where the plugs go.
I am told 2-4 weeks so should be by the end of February barring any issues (like getting the O rings in etc).
Well I came home to a nice surprise today. Primochill sent me a replacement T3 with a nice apology letter. So what's so great about this? I never put in an RMA since I wasn't having any issues with my current one, so it was nice to see that Primochill (Brian) had taken a proactive stance by sending me a replacement without me asking for it. It has the new orings and plastic screws with it too. Just thought I would share a good experience since there have been several bad ones. Thank you Primochill (Brian).
EDIT - Ok, so it turns out the T3 wasn't for me, but for Bei Fei. Since we ordered ours at the same time Primochill shipped his replacement to me and Bei Fei didn't know that. So I did not get a new one as I had thought, not that I need one, but I wanted to make sure everyone was aware of what had happened, so there was no expectations of a T3 arriving at any one's house unexpected. I apologize for the misunderstanding.
Luck you indeed, I'm still waiting on mine.
I live in the UK so it could take a while.
Been over 5 days already since posted from primochill.
BG I know it's been asked already but if we pester you enough maybe you will post a pic of the new delrin T3?
Thanks.
Please check my edit above.
my new T3 arrived past saturday
will make some test these days off the case for some leaking test
The weirdest thing happenned with my T3....I pulled it out of my system since it was cracked around one of the pump mounting screws where the threading had rusted on to the screw. Well, I left it out to dry while I was away from town a few days on my PC desk. I come back and the entire front half of the res is cracked in spider web like cracks, yet the back half doesn't have this at all.....Have you seen this Geno? Its a good thing I had a second pump/top and res.....I will have post pics when I get home.....Very Strange! By the way, I only used distilled water and a drop of PT nuke.
Bad juju? Kidding aside no idea beyond somebody knocking it off the desk and not fessing up.
Did you clean it? Some cleaners like windex have alcohol in them and that stuff is the Kiss of death for acrylic. Thats why I am just not a fan of injection molding clear plastics now...weak sauce for even kind of generic chemicals.
No,didn't clean it and I live alone with my GF. We were both gone and no one else was here.....The weird thing its only on the front half. I will post a pic later today. very weird:confused:
I can see small stress cracks in my pump mounting bracket. I haven't taken out my T3 to further inspect it. But soon as the delrin T3's release, I am getting rid of this thing before it does leak or something :p:
Seriously here....?
I've gotten mine cracked before I could use it last time (the early ones when they're still made in china).
I'm gonna TOTALLY get a headache if the new one they're sending me still got the same/new cracking problem.
Anyone in the UK received their new T3 yet?
This is what happenned Geno, totally weird!! Maybe a temp change when it dried out??
http://img31.imageshack.us/img31/5685/photo0023k.th.jpg
first the leak at the thread with the rust showing and then the surprise!!!
http://img42.imageshack.us/img42/4158/photo0030a.th.jpg
http://img199.imageshack.us/img199/8...to0031v.th.jpg
Notice the back half has no spiderweb cracking??
Not sure if this would work or not but, if you have one, try to see if the front half of that T3 will glow a little while using a regular party style black light. I noticed the 18" UV CCFL's I have don't kick out anywhere near the power of my 4" black light florescent bulb.
I will try to get one from somebody and check that... Maybe the front half's plastic was mixed incorrectly in China....;)
I know you said there was never any alcohol or EG in there but that looks a LOT like what happens when the acrylic is exposed to either. Again, I am not doubting you, I just have made the mistake of bending a beautiful bend into a sheet of acrylic and then without thinking grabbed the denatured alcohol to wipe it down prior to painting. There is the sound of like ice breaking slowly followed by an excessive amount of cursing.
Did you by chance clean it with windex or a baby wipe or similar? Something reacted with the plastic. Smacking it with a hammer or hurling it into the ground would generate several large fractures...not the safety glass like pattern you have.
I would maybe agree that you have a part with a massive excess of the UV stabilizer but again...wow that's just an assload of cracking...it looks like Piper Haliwell waved her hands at it.
Or in clear plastic ones =)
I am considering machining a version of the delrin T3 designed to be only a single loop part and optimizing performance for said single loop. I just can't see anyone buying a version like that over the parallel loop version. The reality is that the single loop performance is still better then a stock D5 and even if your not using parallel loops now, having the ability to add them and the extra performance potential down the road is smarter.
I am going to try to squeeze a little more single loop performance out of the dual version as thats the real answer I guess.
Hi all,
I brought a T3 from a e-store here in australia late last year, installed it over the christmas break and after 2 weeks it started to leak, from what appears to be the join on the right hand side. I only used distilled water and PT Nuke.
I have put in a ticket and recieved a reply and emailed the required info with no reply, how long does it take for a replacement.
Also is it ok to use Bits Power Compression fittings or do I still need to get different orings for them.
Regards
Ric
If I had to guess (and it is just a guess) the delay is waiting on the first full run of parts from California...they should STILL answer and let you know that though.
It seems that the guys in here are having better luck with the larger (actually fatter) O ring when using the bits power fittings. Primo Chill is actually switching to the fatter O ring on their fittings too so the new ones *should* also do the trick with other fittings.
Thanks for the reply BoxGods, I'm not quite up to speed as it been a while since I read the whole thread, currently I'm using DD 1/2'' Fat Boy barbs and they seem to do the job, but i'm thinking of going compression fittings for a neater look. Will I have to replace the orings on the Bits Power compression fittings with the newer T3's, If so with what are the size of orings as these things are more difficult to source here in aust.
Also what's the expected longevity of these new T3's as pulling my water rig apart is a real pita.
Regards
Ric
DB or one of the other guys in here would know better on the O rings. Once Primo Chill has all the wrinkles ironed out with the new shop in California including annealing etc the lifespan of the T3's should be longer then you will use the PC your installing it in...as we all see on the TV, plastic lasts a zillion years in landfills etc etc :D
How does a guy get some of these new T3s? who do you have to know or blow? Cause I am not gonna do the second one
Working on it as fast as they can I am sure. Better to do all the testing and blow some parts up first to be sure everything is as it should be...
@ DB--Have been trying to reach you on AIM DB but your never on--it looks like the Diamond Jet pump for Autopsy is NOT going to be ready in time so you need to use something else. I will fill you in next time your online.
You guys should try this new invention, it's called a phone. :D
Can anyone confirm what is being replaced on the T3?
My replacement package just arrived the other day and it only contains the main res body, along with some thumbscrews and o-rings.
Am I safe to assume I can use the old pump mounting plate (the one which supposedly come from a mfg in China) without a problem?
Or is it supposed to have the pump mount plate inside the package??
I'm just really paranoid at the moment.
At this time we are sending out the following
- replacement body (PEC Version Only)
- New Side Mounting Screws 2 Sizes
- One Short size which will cover 90% of all cases on the market
- One Long size which are intended for users using acrylic cases with thicker side panels
- Fatter Orings for current Ghost and Ghost Compression users to enable a better seal
As for the mounting bracket, we are switching out users that received the Phillips head M4 screws and thinner acrylic mount to the revision 2.
Revision 2 is a 3/8 acrylic mounting bracket and M4 Allen Head Screws w/ wrench.
If you have the first version of the Mounting System (Phillips Head) please contact us and we will switch you out to the rev2 version. This is only for users experiencing issues.
Please contact us at t3rma at primochill.com
From Everyone at PrimoChill we appreciate your patience during this transition to USA Made T3's. We are working hard everyday to insure that we can delivery the best possible product to you all.
Again, thank you.
Thanks for the prompt reply.
Really appreciate it.
Seems that I got the old version.
It's thin and uses philips screws.
I've just sent an email with a photo of the pump mount.
Thanks Brian I just received mine but for some reason the new thicker orings do not fit when using the plastic provided compression fittings.
The orings fit ok but the compression fittings do not screw fully in and when tighened a far as I can can fit them, the orings look like they are trying to burst.
I then did a leak test and one leaked.
They fit okay when using the led holders.
I then went back to the old orings and they appear to be holding the water out a bit better.
Time to get metal compression fittings.
Can anyone recommend what fittings I should buy?
BP fittings? Or the enzotech ones are pretty cheap on newegg!!:D
I must be cursed!
I received the new T3 and all seemed ok.
I had a look today and there was a puddle on the top of my blueray drive under my T3.
Water is leaking from the where the pump is attached with the bracket.
I have tightened and loosened the bracket and tried everything.
It still leaks.
I am also using the new bracket with the Allen key fittings.
Hey, my first post! Glad to be here. Wish it was about a different subject:(
I bought a T3 at the end of Sept. directly from Primo. I got all the extras I could, $106 +ship.
With work, family, and cash flow I'm only now getting to my new build.:shakes:
First off, I've spent the last 2 days free time reading about the failures of the T3, catching up on this thread & others. I'm glad the issues are being resolved, however I'm a little confused about replacement parts, and the conditions to receive them.
From everything I've read on the internet, I have no confidence I can install this in the build configuration I had in mind. I would need to run it on the bench for 2 weeks minimum, before I could trust it. And ultimately I'll never trust this not to crack and leak:eh:
I'm new to watercooling, but I've collected a bunch of really cool parts, this was one of my favorites, because of all that's good about the T3 design.
[Thanks Box Gods, I know it's been a rough road, but I think it's a good design, with some obvious bugs.
Dam cheap materials/incompetent suppliers.
Although you need to pay close attention to balancing the flow of the parallel loops, & not to over rpm the pump in a low restriction system, IMHO. But I knew that going in, as I followed this thread from the start. Probably the most controversial product since I've been in the hobby. Still it offers a unique solution for those able to think in parallel. Absolutely want a delrin version, in red/black:D]
Back to the original intent of this post. Are we expected to run these till they fail, to get the piece of mind of a US made T3? I think you should ofter replacement to all questionable T3's. There is no way I can trust this with my new i7,Classified,SSD's,HDD's, etc...
Also, others who have received replacements have reported not getting the top fill port they paid for. Why? This is a make or break feature for me, as I can't flip the case on its back to fill or service.
Part of the warranty should be to get a reliable product, with the extras we paid for. If it's about time, I'll be happy to wait, as I understand & sympathize with your predicament.
I look forward to more cool products from Primochill, and I have not yet requested a RMA, but would like the official policy, more clear.
Thanks
My exact sentiments. Mine is still brand new but I simply can't trust it to run long enough without cracking, thus I bought an XSPC dual DDC for 2 loops.
It would be really nice to get it replaced with the better version T3 without waiting for the old T3 to crack, which is now a paperweight for me.
I was sent 2 new T3 for my 2 faulty T3.
I have swapped the faulty new one with the other second replacement and all is okay again.
No leaks and seems to be running okay.
Now just to get the faulty one packed and off to primochill.
I thought it was a faulty pump bracket or pump o-ring but looking at the res it seems that there was a mold fault at the bottom.
It's like a sharp knife cut part of the bottom edge.
Not ignoring you guys, but since Brian from Primo Chill seems to be following the thread now I will let him address your issues--he is only about 350 posts behind me :D
Kidding aside him responding directly seems faster then you guys posting, me reading it, messaging him for an answer then responding here. Especially since my continued involvement with the injection molded T3 (or any other designs for Primo Chill) is in limbo right now. If you listen close you can almost hear the lawyers and the forum blood baths warming up just off stage. The fiddle you hear is Nero tuning up.
We should start a pool on who will throw the first stone. I know who will be throwing the last one =)
Seriously, people need to cool there jets:welcome:
After what happened here in the past, caused me to partially stop coming here.
It's a freaking hobby, its supposed to be fun.
I'm not pissed yet, I haven't lost any hardware, but hope the deal is made good.
I want Primo to continue w/the T3, and other cool bay res. designs.
Most people need all the room inside a case they can get. And I have some large case's, I want the room for rads. and other cool sh*t.:D
"We should start a pool on who will throw the first stone. I know who will be throwing the last one =)"
They are at the other forum, been there. Seems hostile, but can't hear it here;-)
I just wanted to pop in and let everyone know that if they have questions about their T3's and getting a replacement or just have questions that we have a direct email for answering these questions.
If you have an issue, question or concern please drop us an email.
t3rma at primochill.com
Not to derail the oncoming horde but is there any word or sexy new pics of the delerin T3?
Yeah where is the delrin T3?
I love the design T3 and in a reply to the post above.
Pc gaming and modding is most definately a hobby for me even with all the little faults and foibles it brings with it.
The teething problems of the T3 have not put me off the design one bit.
Brian,
Well I am just curious if Primo is going to replace the defective T3's that have ports on the top with ones that do not? I do not want to start an RMA and get something I cannot use. I would rather just go another route since there are other options. I am also concerned about where the screw mounts are located on the original ones. Mine does not line up with my Corsair 800D case and it just would not look right sticking out an 1/8" in the front of the case. Do the new ones fit correctly?
Of course your not knocking the design! Your the designer;-) Seems like most haters aren't here anymore, Good.
I want this to work in my current build, it's all planned out, has to work. I also must have a Delrin T3 for my next dream machine, on second though, probably 2 of them:D
As far as fit, personally, I'll make fit anything, almost anywhere. I void my psu warranty's just for custom length cables.
Love modding! Takes me forever to finish my builds.
I guess we have the official policy. Apparently issues will be taken on a individual basis. Business wise I can understand this,[I'm a small business operator. Sucks to be me.] I can assume there was/is no way to track/batch the parts that make up the T3. Obviously, not all have failed, seems to me the earlier ones where better, though.
In my case most of the failures I've heard about were/are happening to people who bought about when I did. [Sept. 09] Glad this product has a 3 year warranty.
So now for the solution.:D No way this is going in my new rig. :yepp:
All I have to do is change plans. The case modding stops for now. I'm working on a new open bench setup.[I'm excited about this too, but wanted my new rig done first.] First test, Chinese made T3. I plan to document the progress. I have to figure out a way to mount it in similar manner as a real case. Except with a catch tank:ROTF:
It's probably better I cut my teeth w /WC outside a case first anyway, but I know I could do it. However if I was to wreck a bunch of :banana::banana::banana: doing this.
Well, my wife would make sure I don't mix water an electricity again:slapass:
That would suck, I told you so's for the rest of her life:lol:
I have installed more w/c loops then I can count (likely several hundred) and have had two "oh crap" moments where water has poured out onto PC parts. Both times were on other peoples machines and both times it was being rushed and tired and making really stupid mistakes. There is no black magic to water cooling anymore. Just triple check EVERYTHING before you add your water.
Open or test benches are actually a lot of fun.
here are links to two early test benches I did. The yellow one is made of cheap and easy to work with materials and has decent instructions.
http://www.boxgods.com/dept/modding/...Article&ID=188
http://www.boxgods.com/dept/modding/...Article&ID=221
May be something there you can draw inspiration from.
http://cmstore.coolermaster-usa.com/...tbenchbig1.jpg
I got one of these a while back. Relatively cheap, but no hold down for the GPU cards. The modding continues:yepp:
I like the hold down on the yellow bench. Something like that or I'll chop up some old btx parts. Modern epoxy works wonders.
You know, after looking at this again. This is the perfect Chinese T3 test bench. I'll just raise it up a bit, on a large shallow container. The bays have drain holes an everything:rofl:
So some open issues that got buried by the Tangentasaurus:
1. Is the any information about the release of the delerin T3 (or production pics)?
2. Are the screw holes on the forthcoming T3s in the "right" place or are they still only friendly for folks with screw slots (ala Lian Li) rather than discrete 5.25 bay screw holes (someone mentioned the 800D)?
Tangentasaurus...very funny.
1. There will be a delrin dual bay reservoir with a D5 on it for sure. It is currently up in the air whether it will be branded Primo Chill and called the T3, or manufactured under another name brand and called something else. Monsoon perhaps. Relations between Primo Chill and myself are currently "strained" at best. My hope is for an amicable resolution without lawyers and all the drama but I am prepared for either outcome. On the up side I have been working out my frustration in Solidworks and have made some serious improvements to the design. Better looking overall, more efficient light bar design that throws more light, improved single loop performance, simplified ports to make using other brands of fittings easier, standardized the entire design with the entire Split Window reservoir line so they share O rings, light bars, and light bar covers to lower manufacturing costs, redesigned the PCB area for a much more efficient PCB design, and streamlined machining for the entire part which will also lower machining costs a little.
Short answer, yes there WILL be parts.
2. All any designer or manufacturer can do is design to the industry specifications. I don't physically own every single case on the market and can't buy every new case that comes out (thus the specifications). That being said, because the Delrin Dual Bay reservoir with a D5 is a machined part rather then an injection molded part the mounting holes CAN be adjusted from run to run or a few units can easily be altered slightly to fit popular cases that are slightly out of spec. With that in mind I designed in enough material in the mounting hole area to adjust them fore and aft about 3/16". As a case modder I think the slots are kind of ugly but now I guess I see why the slots are the smarter choice--isn't perspective grand lol.
Short answer, yes.
He is right about the tangentasaurus but he was not trying to dampen your enthusiasm, keep you from asking for help, or sharing your ideas/results. People in here give new guys a little razzing but its good natured, no need to go away. The day any of us can't take a few minutes to help an enthusiastic nub is the day to find a new hobby.
Hi All,
I'm enquiring to see if people have been receiving replacement T3's of late, as I have an email from Brain dated the 10th of this month telling me the replacement should be shipped in a week. As of today (13 days later) no news of the replacement being shipped. I'm stuck with a new i7 computer that can't run :(.
I just would like some info on what's happening with these replacements.
Regards
Ric
primochill send me the replacement of the T3
installed it
all is fine
but after 1 day of use it seems that there are so many bubbles on the res
take out of the case and voila!!
there is a leak and it craped my Blue ray drive
it was leaking where the plastic screw are holding the res and one tplastic screw holding the D5 pump
and yes the new"replacement" of the T3 is leaking for me
sent a email RMA to primochill and then nothing no replay "NOTHING"
I guess i´ll wait another 2 months to have my T3
PS: sorry Geno I´m still waiting past 15 days for a replay from primo but nothing
they seem to ignore me again
Please do not say sorry to me. They are ignoring me as well. I have ended my relationship with them and am no longer doing the post and packaging on the T3. They are pretty much blackmailing me by saying I either give up my share of the profits from the T3 and the new Split Window reservoir or they will steal all my designs.
Unfortunately at this point I do not think their is an amicable solution that does not involve a lawsuit. On the upside, thanks to working with them for three years I am so broke that I don't have anything left to loose. I will do anything and everything in my power to make sure that if they DO steal my designs it will cost them more then they make. If that means free designs for every company on earth that competes with them then so be it. If I have to personally oversee manufacturing for them for free, so be it.
Cease and desists, lawsuits and counter-suites and all the associated drama to follow.
There is nothing more dangerous then a man that has nothing to loose.
This is unbelievable. What the heck is up with Brian and Primochill that they would feel the need to do this. Looks like a boycott of Primochill is now in order.
I appreciate that man but it won't make a difference to them lol. I am so tempted to just post all the dirty laundry because I know so many companies and people would come out and share their experiences...but dirty laundry makes everyone stink.
I am not going to start a fight online but I wont get steamrolled either.
I don't blame you, and it doesn't surprise me. My replacement T3 is garbage too, left the system off for a week while I was out of town, and when I came back and turned the system back on it starting pissing like the proverbial race horse. I don't think the materials can withstand the stress of expansion and contraction over time.
I'm not going to pursue another replacement either, but may file a complaint with the BBB or other avenues.
What a terrible situation to be stuck in...wish you the best of luck getting this resolved.
Way to go PrimoChill... glad I didn't wait around for new stuff. I can sure say they are now on my "Do not buy" list.
nice to see you Geno
regarding to your relationship will primo so sorry to hear that but on another side I´m glad to hear that
i´ll never buy to primo
1st relationship vendor customer so poor
2nd RMA contact to customer very very poor
3rd ignoring customer is the best they can do
wow, i was waiting to buy one when the new ones came out, but i guess i won't now
I wanted the Newest too as I don't trust the one I have right now. I look it over everyday and I don't let my system run when I'm not around.
I guess I should start looking for a new way to run a Res. in my system.
I hope things work out for you and the new products make it on line soon.
I will buy the newly designed Dual Bay Delrin res (don't flame yet) only if the profits directly benefit BG. My hat goes off to you, an individual who has contributed so much to the PC Watercooling industry with innovative products and ideas that have helped to truly push our hobby/obsession into something great. If you make the Dual Bay Delrin reservoir, PM me and I will personally buy one straight from the source.
SUPPORT OUR SPORT, KEEP THE GRASSROOTS INGENUITY ALIVE
I would love to have the Dual Bay Delrin Res myself and would also buy from Box Gods personally.
I think keeping the Innovators in business is what helps drive this Passion of Ours.
Thanks so much for the support. You have no idea how much it helps to calm me down which is good as being so angry all the time doesn't help.
One way or the other my designs WILL go into production and I will keep everyone here posted.
The sad part about this whole train wreck is that it all could have been avoided with some basic pre-release testing.
I got a couple of pretty early release T3 samples and made everyone aware of some fundamental design flaws which could have easily been picked up on and corrected had any sort of pre testing been done but this was way to late as a full production run had already been made and retailer shelves were already being stacked but little did anyone realise at that point, the T3 was literally a ticking time bomb waiting to be installed into countless systems around the world.
Six months down the line and forums all around the globe are literally littered with the carnage this little plastic toy res has left in it wake and guess what.....there is nobody going to be held accountable for all the broken hardware never mind the res itself.
I said at the time, i was, and still am a fan of this type of res/pump combo due to how it can be mounted in a couple of drive bays but i can only presume that testing was totally sacrificed due to the pull of making money.....and lots of it judging by how many people have these.
My own experience....
I got my two T3's installed into the Zotac mod which was shipped to Denmark for an nVidia conference but on its arrival the entire Skulltrail system including two GTX295's was a soggy mess due to total failure of both T3's and never to work again so i didn't come out of this one unscathed.
I'm sorry i have little sympathy for how this turned out as it all could have been avoided had greed been put aside and some simple testing put in place but instead it was decided to use the buying public as Guinea Pigs which just isn't acceptable in my book.
I know little of the relationship between Brian and Geno but is it any wonder the two parties have fallen out and the mud slinging started when nether is prepared to accept responsibility yet prefer to blame each other in an open forum which IMO is probably the only good thing to come out of this so hopefully we won't get burned with another epic fail any time soon.
