1201 brought me stable to settings in sig, though I think my vcore is too high...Im still trying for 4Ghz...
I couldn't find the specs for voltages on the e6600. I thought I did and Intel had removed it go figure.
all the problems we have,is about Strap to mem
Max FSB i reach...

Still trying to get more and i am sure this E0 CPU can :D
Working on 4,2 GHz 1,28v. (1,3 BIOS) instead of my old E8400 witch i sell yesterday, that can do only 3,6GHz at same voltage...
Same here, if I even touched the NB skew it wouldn't post, I just messed with the skew delays of the ram and got the 600/1200 32mb Pi run

Multi was 7 so for 4.2Ghz... haven't tried it since 0803 bios to occupied with biosses and new builds...
:(
I was playing Assassin's creed and it crashed , gave an application error. (something like : memory can't read XXX adress ... )
After it , i ran the " blend " test :( after a minute prime95 crashed too . Gave an application error.(something like : memory can't read XXX adress )
I've ran three hours small FFTs yesterday and was stable.
I've read somewhere that if it gives an error in blend or large-FFT's, playing with NB,NB GTL REF may work .
Is this true ? What should i do now ? :(
Edit: My RAM's were rated as 2.1V at 1200MHz at 5-5-5-18 ( trfc 33 ) , but i'm using them at 1278 MHz at 5-5-5-15 ( trfc 40 ) .
I tried to use as def. 5-5-5-18 but gave error again.
Finally i tried to raise the dram voltage by 0.02V = 2.12 V and now it passed to test 4 :yepp: and there is no error yet.
Leeghoofd, what skew values did you use for RAM?
I used 100ps delay for both channel A (only actually using channel A1) and nothing for channel B.
Tried to lower the DRAM freq. to 1137MHz and no errors and application error for about 15 mins. :yepp:
So, what may cause this errors or/and application error ?
NB voltage ? DRAM voltage ?
BTW , i changed the NB GTL REF from AUTO to 0.630.
DRAM Read Training: Enabled ( was AUTO )
MEM. OC Charger: Enabled ( was AUTO )
AI Clock Twister: Lighter ( was AUTO )
I have AI Transaction Booster at AUTO , should i change it to manual ? If yes , to which level should i change ?
Stable for about 25 mins. :yepp:
think it was 150 with my Gskills mate...
Fill in the template plz :
P5QDlx Template
Don't change all at once, how will you know now what helped ? Was it the lower ram clock or the other settings or a mix off...
What was your error now ? was it running them rams way out of spec with too tight latencies and trfc...? have you tried to run them 1278 with 5-5-5-18 Trfc 55 ? if you would like to run them at these speeds think you will need a bit more than 2.12 in bios , I need 2.3 real for just 1200mhz with my Gskills... mine can't even get as far as yours.... you got some nice rams there cherish them
You're right . :(
I was panicked when it crashed in prime .
As you said , changed lots of settings at once .
When i first installed my rams i wanted to run at 1201 MHz at 2.1V 5-5-5-18 trfc 35 , because they were rated at 2.1V and trfc 33 .
But 35 didn't work and 've tried 40, 40 was OK.
I've ran memtest86+ with no errors .But today while playing a game i got application error and after that tried to run blend test , it gave application error too. After that made the above changings.
Now , it's stable for about 55 mins. ( blend )
rams are @ 1134MHz @ 5-5-5-19 trfc40 @ 2.12V now.
Now , what do you recommend me to do first to change the ram freq. back to 1278MHz ?
Edit : Got error on core0 .
Edit2: Now , set back to 1278MHz @ 2.14V(0.02V increase) @ 5-5-5-19 trfc 60 ( always running at 40 ) .
Stable for about 50 mins.
Edit3: Again error on core0 after 52 mins.
Now raised the NB Voltage to 1.36V . ( was 1.34)
I had some kind of issue where it wouldn't shut down, only restart and fixed it by moving to a different case (grounding problem?).
Now this is another problem that has been going on about the same length of time, but I just started messing around with it again tonight. The computer will not go to Sleep. When I select that command, the monitor turns off, but not the fans and then it's completely non responsive. I have to turn it off with the power switch. When I turn it back on, it will just sit there with the video card fan spun up and a black screen, no post or anything. Then I hit reset and it comes up, but sometimes the BIOS settings are all erased and when I get into Windows, the time has been reset to 2001.
It doesn't do this everytime, sometimes I just have to turn it off and back on and then it boots up and when it gets to Windows it says "resuming" like it went to sleep.
Any ideas? This same system used to Sleep without any issues.
edit: this mother:banana::banana::banana::banana:ing piece of :banana::banana::banana: is doing the restart thing again instead of turning off :mad::mad:
it was working fine all day, I didn't change a single piece of hardware
I'm RMAing the motherboard or the whole system if I have to
Specs:
Asus P5Q Deluxe
Intel Q9450
2 x 2GB Corsair Dominator
ATI 4870
VelociRaptor
Corsair HX620W
Windows Vista Ultimate x64

Needs 1.30 vNB to be linpack stable
Just measured vDIMM here... Voltages are exact same as BIOS setting... I set 1,98v. for 1080 5-5-5-15 because i know this mobo has some overvolt, but it was unstable because my RAM need little more than 2v. to do this... So i measured and now i set 2,02v. in BIOS and measured again and it is also same as BIOS... I am vith BIOS 1201 to test it for second time with my new CPU :D
My 24/7 clock is 8x475 = 3.8ghz @ 1.336v IntelBurnTest stable (20x). It was prime95 blend stable for 2 days at 1.312, and overnight at 1.304,
so no more wasting hours testing for half-stability. :) I've bumped vtt & nb core since these screenshots, but if all you want is prime/occt stability... ;)

I have gone up to 3.99ghz / 499fsb on this board, and with my ep45-ds3r I have done an hour of prime95 small ffts at 4ghz. Very happy with my chip & both boards.

I was hovering around 80-85 C when 4ghz with prime95... but I started using IntelBurnTest today and
wow does it get the cpu hot. First time I have tripped the PROCHOT switch.
500fsb is a no go on the p5q-e but I ran IntelBurnTest run 10 times. I had to increase some of my voltages to get a 2 day
prime95 blend-stable box stable with IBT so it seems pretty good at what it does.

I'm sure I don't need vcore this high since I did 4.0ghz on my ep45-ds3r with 1.42v, but I was going for 500 and when I wasn't willing to increase any voltages I just backed down to 499 at the insane levels to see if it was a wall. it was.

Hi
Anyone could help with flawlessy moving my raid 0 from p5b dlx to p5q dlx.
Do i only need to plug hdds to the new borad or i also need to set the same seetings in intel raid bios like i have it on p5b?
Dont wanna lose my data.
Any help would be great.
dang this thread moves so :banana::banana::banana:ing fast!...anyways
i have my 8400 stable at 4.5 with every thing on auto except my memory and cpu voltage why does everyone say that you have to cahgne the gtl and nb and pll i left everything on auto and i left occt running for 6 hrs on a cpu test and 3 hrs on blend so im guessing im 100% stable
Tried to raise dram from 2.14v to 2.16v ; got error after 15 mins again on core0 with blend in 2nd 8k test.
I tried to run a custom blend test after it and then i set 8k test manually and ran , there was no error in 2nd 8k test this time
I can't understand
