I am in the market for a replacement 775 board, and the UD3P is on the list of possible boards. I would like to know witch revision i should look for since i have a set of G. Skill pc9600 2x2gb ram that that i would like to run at 1200Mhz if i can get my q9650 stable at 500*9.

I Know 1.6 is not idle at all, and that it is a mix up between 1.0 and 1.1. I would like to know from people that have there ram running at 1200+ and at or above 500 FSB with there 45nm quad.

Also i would like to know of all the ways you can tell the difference between the revisions of each boards, so when i find one for a good price i can tell what version it is.

    Thanks.

    hey mate

best choice is rev 1.0 but hard to find even used...

my best is the EP45T USB3P rev 1.0 wich is like the UD3P rev 1.0 + DDR3 if you use Elpida Hypers on mem like the Stalents 2200 CL8 or CORSAIR GT

    cheers

I think you would be fine with any revision, some people think certain revisions are better than others but I think its still more luck of the draw if one board happens to be better than other regardless of rev. Really the only difference between the 1.0 and the 1.1 are the heatsinks, different design and the nb heatsink is rotated 180 to help with cpu heatsink clearance, 1.6 is basically a 1.1 but with smart6. Also the 1.0 and 1.1 share the same bios but the 1.6 has its own series.

what color is the second pcie 8x on the rev 1.0 motherboards? I've read that the rev 1.0 are supposed to have black pcie 1x slots, but have not read any thing about different colored pcie 2.0 slots.

I see a ud3p listed on the bay, that in the picture shows two blue pcie slots instead of the typical blue/orange, however the pcie 1x slots are white.

If i remember correctly its against the rules to post auction links. So i won't, but If you look "ep45 ud3p" on the bay, you will see the one i am talking about. It is listed for 75 and has 5 or so days left. it also seems to have the 1.1/+ south bridge hit sink.

Thats probably going to be a 1.6 since he says its only 3 months old. You can always ask him what revision it is, it says the revision in the bottom left corner.

Has anyone tested the USB3 on the EP45T US3P? It seems i cant get it to run at listed speed, always stuck on 35 MB/s using Crystal Disk Mark. This is using a Samsung 2TB drive and a Crucial 128G SSD. Changed bios to turbo usb3 mode and back and same thing happen its like its stuck on usb 2 speed. I have a Vantec NST-D400S3 USB 3.0 hd dock using NEC driver ‏1.0.20.0 in Win7 64.

Checking out the USB3P motherboard. After roaming the x48-universe for some time (Foxconn Blackops), it was time to see what Gigabyte could do with P45.

Before exposing 45nm Qcores, I start testing lga775 motherboards with a basic stock Intel heatsink/fan and a 65nm cpu like the Celeron E1200 or Celeron 430.

Warning : I may ask questions and beg for CMOS files when/if I place a Qcore in there. =)

I'm having a brain fart here from lack of sleep, but this is what I'm running into.....I have my EP45C-UD3R and E8500 at 9.5 x 400 for my safe 24/7 right now. Still trying to tweak bios settings for my 4.0 - 4.25 GHz. This is where the brain fart comes in...when shooting for 4 GHz (8x500) I get BSOD upon booting...That's a Vcore thing right?

I thought I saw radaja selling one in the FS section when I was in there the other day. Might want to look there.
