I just flashed my BIOS from 0610 to 0704 and now my HDD performance on my SSD went down 75MBs/Sec on writes......

maybe I see something here that's not right.
Your RAM is running at 1600 MHz. That implies a UCLK of 3200.
ASUS' AUTO setting for the QPI voltage is 1.375V, which is also the Uncore voltage...
Your BIOS is set to 1.25V uncore.
I can tell that much, my 920 C0 requires at least 1.35V for 3200 and 1.4125-1.425V for good stability at 3400.
Are you SURE that your D0 920 takes that much less uncore/QPI voltage for stability? Seems unlikely to me...but possible.

Uncore clock is RAM clock x2 (or higher), and going towards 4.4 GHz means increasing the BCLK and uncore clock since the multiplier is maxed out.
How does one flash back to an older BIOS? I can't seem to do it after upgrading to 0704.

Oh, I know that newer steppings require ess voltage, but with my 17 years of experience in building computers and overclocking, it is not every day that some voltages can be reduced that drastically without die-shrinking the whole chip. That's all.Quote:

I am currently running a 960 D0 at 1.2 QPI for 3200MHz uncore on a P6T Deluxe V1. I assume that the uncore side of this chip is comparable with a 920 D0.Quote:

Ok I am going to have to revert my questions to the basics because I am at a loss from where to go from where I am at.
From the BIOS specs I have posted what do I need to raise in order to get to 4.4 I think I might just have completely confused myself into thinking I know what im doing lol, so yeah any advice would help me a lot :)
Tendentially, yes. Your Uncore clock will go towards 3400... However, what effects do you get at 4.4 GHz? Sudden reboots/BSOD after 30 seconds up to 2 passes or so in Linx?Quote:

As for your confusion, to sum it up: The D0 steppings usually require less voltage on the core and uncore than the older C0s like mine. But no matter which stepping, higher clocks require more voltage. The best indicator (among others) for that is usually instability.
You might also want to set your Differential Amplitude to 700 or 800 mV.

You'll need a engineering version of afudos, posted on this very page. A bootable usb, and then save afudos and your prospective bios to the usb. Consult page 3-6 in the motherboard manual for the rest.Quote:
