here ya go :)

Here i put the Far Cry2 numbers in an xbitlabs graph, xbit tests with a 975 though, while nvidia supposedly tested with a 960. no big difference though, 3.33 vs 3.2ghz and we are talking 1920x1200 and 2560x1600 here...
http://img687.imageshack.us/img687/6605/farcry2.png
weeellll if those numbers ARE for a 360, then this is good news, if they are for a 380, then they are not that good news... i think it was a 380...
so basically fermi is as fast as a 295, maybe a tad faster... makes sense...
but considering they more than doubled the logic, i actually expected more...
Prices of most 5850 and 5870 have decreased to $289 and $399 in newegg, so u can get 2*5850 for $578 not bad at all :)
lol the old 2 gpu vs 1 gpu, we should really compare it segment-wise 5970 is suppose to fight GF100 from the start. 4870 X2 was suppose to fight GTX280/285.
In principle ATi has no plans at all to fight with either GTX295 or GTX395
good point, yeah... i hope they can fix the microstuttering problems... they managed to do it on 4870x2, didnt they?
thats what ati and nvidia want, but it doesnt work like that... :P
single gpu cards still perform better than dual gpu cards in a way that fps alone cant meassure...
http://www.hardocp.com/article/2010/...mance_review/1
resolution 5760*1200 the 5970 "dual gpu" and 5870 "single gpu" perform quite well in most modern games.
Yep with new driver releases micro shutter should get much less ass was the case with 4870 x2.
yes single card solution does work better but ATi has no single card solution in the same segment as the GF100 it is really odd to compare a Chevrolet Cruze to a Porsche 911?
and for the price...
Nvidia scenario
GTX285: 100% - 400
HD5870: 135% - 400
GTX3xx: 168% - 672
HD5970: 190% - 700
ATI scenario
GTX285: 100% - 400
HD5870: 135% - 400
GTX3xx: 168% - 600
HD5970: 190% - 700
my scenario
GTX285: 100% - 400
HD5870: 135% - 400
GTX3xx: 168% - 650
HD5970: 190% - 700
edit: based on the Dark Void benchmark it's 180% faster than the 285 not 168%?
Thats why i said most games :P
A 5870 does quite well in most games also but 5970 does excels in some games like GTA4,etc...
best quote about fermi from H::lol:  :ROTF:Quote:

most is useless, but i still prefer looking at it and making my own conclusion about them instead of somebody telling me this and that info is useless and not showing it...
2560x1600 users, rejoice :)
Definitely grabbing two 380GTX for 32xSSAA 16XAF 1600p awesomeness. I really hope they do scale well.
Yeah, that'd definitely do better than fx5200 :P
price will probably be 700$, since supply will be VERY low, the price might actually climb above that... so prepare to pay almost 2K us$ for 2 cards as you might have to import them :D
i recommend you to pre-order the cards, iirc the 280s were really in very short supply for the first weeks after the launch... either you buy it as soon as its out, or youll have to wait for a while until you can get them i think...
Perhaps because GTX285 has 1/4th the gpgpu compute power of fermi and this benchmark is using compute + rendering.

For the results you see below, NVIDIA made use of a built-in benchmark that make heavy use of in-game physics and the engine’s long draw distances. This is one test where the GPU compute roots of the GF100 can really come into play by efficiently processing PhysX and rendering the scene at the same time. Performance is once again far beyond anything the GTX 285 can accomplish which makes should make things interesting come release.
Well, I'm planning to update in early June, just after I'm done with the exams. I hope retailers have some stock by then.
Thanks for the tip though, saaya
