hey criminal try if the voltage settings that you can see in the eleet tool if they work for you, im sure you can get that thing past 222. you cant see it from that pic but the pcie frequency was 112 on that run ;)

i have no issues running DDR3 at 1800MHz CAS7 ,of course it needs 1.9v and its not prime stable
but you can try 180bclock ,vdimm @ 1.65v or a bit more ,vtt @ minimum and vnb @ auto ,pciex @ 100MHz and just set the timings,start at 2:6 and than 2:8, i think it will work for you ;)

I'm surprised no one asked about clock for clock benches between D0 and C0. The C2D E0's L2 cache latency was increased to allow higher clocks. I wonder if Intel did the same thing again with the i7 D0.
Which is the frequency max under ln2 or phase change please???
When will the new D0 chips be coming out?
Supposedly on March 2nd but don't know which retailer carries them, we will have to wait and see, tankguys have them but their prices are somewhat higher than the retail although they guarantee you a D0.Quote:

from what i know the bios vendors ami and award both had problems implementing the c states and turbo+2 properly...
it seems to work on all boards if you disable 3 cores in bios.
its tarting to work with all cores enabled now, but not in vista since vista moves threads from one core to the next all the time, which prevents turbo+2 from working properly
according to intel all cores run the same multi, so if only one core is active all cores run with a 22 multi, but as soon as you load them they all drop to 21. in the end it doesnt matter tho, either way we can only use 22 with 1 core...

People with pre-orders with us should get an update e-mail today - but our new ship date is 4/1. We've had some issues getting this allocation this time around, unfortunately. It's actually really tough to get orders like this through, so we're doing everything we can to get this moving.
Mostly interested in temperatures. My C0 doesn't need much vcore at all but gets crazy hot. 4Ghz 1.225v would hit 100C and throttle on air and still goes a little over 70C for water. The 21 multiplier is completely useless to me getting higher clocks because it drops to x20 as soon as the temp hits 80C.
Something is wrong! 24/7 for my C0 920 is 4.01Ghz, 1.184 Vcore and I'm seeing only 46C at idle, maybe 55C tops in games (RealTemp). Even the stock HS should do better than that. I've witnessed a 920 that looked normal, but it would get up to 60C pretty quickly, it was obviously defective. You either have an overheater, or your cooler is severely deficient.Quote:

Thanks may check with Micro Center to see if they would swap it first. Not sure because it may be over 30 days now. I just kept upgrading my cooling until I was on water lol. Crap I was even checking out LN2 prices in the area LMAO.
EDIT: Quick question this chip is one of the best with low voltage I've seen. Would it be a better idea to void the warranty and remove the IHS?

When my card was charged I assumed that the chip would be shipping, at least within a couple of days. Since I'm building a new system I had a power supply and motherboard sent 3 day select, and memory 2nd day air so I would have everything ready for the build. Even if I cancelled the order I would still be out other shipping charges that I would not have incurred if I had known it would be another 2 wks before I received the processor. I think it is very poor practice charging CCs before you at least have a confirmation that the supply has been shipped to you.Quote:

I don't mind paying extra, but like I said, the CC should not be charged until product is ready or at least on the way to the supplier. Now you have to wonder if April 1 is a firm date. Looks to me like this is a group buy instead of a purchase since the buyers are fronting all the money.

First run on a gigabyte UD5 - stock voltages! 4870X2 also stock. Idle temp +-35°C. CPU seems to be 3D stable - more tests to come.

Its not like the span of a few days as they said is going to be any detriment to your credit, and if circumstances arise in how long its going to take to get the shipment of D0's I am sure a full refund will be issued.

I'm over it, just venting. I'm not hurting for money but I still don't like to spend it for nothing. I wasn't mad about a few extra days because of the credit card charges but because it seems to me that when a company charges your card they normally have the product. The email they sent out sounded like they were ready to ship so we need to charge your card.
Based on this assumption I ordered memory,MB, and another power supply with expedited shipping and it cost me about another $40 in shipping charges over normal shipping. To me, this money was just thrown away because I can't do anything without the processor.
I don't know what happened but I'm giving them the benefit of the doubt. They must have thought the chips were on the way and something beyond their control delayed them.
I'll never pre-order from TankGuys again. I remember last time when they did the Q6600 G0, other online retailers had them before TankGuys and they were cheaper. Not to mention the steppings that TankGuys received on initial shipment sucked horribly! Everyone who ordered from ClubIT got their chips faster and 9/10 were great OCers.Quote:

I received my D0 920 on Saturday from OcUK with batch #3850A795. Running on the test bench with 6Gb OCZ Reaper PC3-15000 @ 1333 9-9-9-20-1T and 2 Gainward GTX260-216 Golden Sample cards on a DFI LP DK X58. Will start to OC next but nice to see that when Turbo mode kicks in it gets 2.8 at stock.... :)
