Is there any chance someone could inform me about digital PWM and why it's different than what I assume is analog PWM? If anything just a nice informative link would work. :D
I read a little bit about it and I always have been curious if the 4+1 Digital PWM is better than Asus' 8+2 PWM.

^ Sounds like a boot order issue, not a software issue.
I believe the message you're seeing might be the eSata........a separate on-board controller. If it's enabled in bios and you don't have anything connected to the eSata port, that message will pop up at every post. Just disable it.:DQuote:

well I can get 3.0ghz but I can't play a game with it, I can browse the web and load other programs but it freezes when I load any game O_o

the time that I ran 1.63v my idle temps were about 40-41ºc, load was about 53ºc with my 9950 at 3.45 GHz or 3.5 GHz can't remember.

After many tries, I still can't find what's wrong and I get sudden reboots.
I tried vcore at 1,55 and I get an overvoltage error at post, and at windows my vcore gets back to 1,45.Max vcore I can set is 1.5.
I tried increasing the DDR Voltage, no luck.Increased NB voltage also nothing.
Decreased HT speed, no difference.
Cputweak is OFF and ACC at +4.
Any ideas??

now it's about 6-7C jump. Load was only 1C higher though. 52C.
I've been reading my logging on core temp highest I've high I got was 51C.

Idle 37C. stable.

Thinking about getting this board but how well does it do with a x2 5400 Blackie , everyone is useing the Phenom to test boards now atleast when i do get a Phenom i know what to expect but for now i dont have one so is there anyone that can tell me how that preform on the X2 , this will give me a good idea on this board

Symtom causes problems with sound/pci slots(locks sound card) and wont boot into Windows @HTT/FSB 224/225 234/35 in my Bios ..

so I have an old IDE drive on now with XP on it and I can clock to 3.1ghz at 1.350 volts.
I tried to use a higher multiplier but it froze up passed that at any volt. :/
I'll have to see how high the HTT will let me go it that's the max multi.

It's strange because most people here get better results with increased vcore.
Also I tried different settings with NB and HT speed.No matter if i keep <2000 or until 2400, I see no difference for better fsb's..

Does anyone have a Corsair HX1000W with this board?
The reason I ask is that I just got mine and installed it last night and it will only boot with default bios settings. I have changed nothing but the PSU and if I try and change any settings (with regards to the CPU multi and/or voltage) it will not post. I have to clear the cmos every time. If I boot into windows with default settings I can change the multi and/or voltages, but if I have to restart for any reason I have to reset the bios again. Not to mention the fact that my Catalyst Control Center will not work now either.
Anyway I was just wondering if there was some compatibility issue.
I highly doubt that your PSU is effecting specific software. It might be effecting stability under load, sure, but not select programs. Do you have another PSU you can test against?
I am testing Phenom 9850BE on this board with Corsair HX1000 right now, and I have no issues with this PSU. Overdrive works fine, I can boot and bench 3D stable at 16x200.
Ben, I know you are way more experienced with mobo's and psu's than I so don't take my advice wrong. :rolleyes: Could you be mistakenly using the wrong 4-pin connector in the cpu plug? Rather than using the 4-pin, I suggest you use the 8-pin cpu connector after removing the 2-pin plug-stop that is in the board's cpu power socket. (Corsair provides both a 4-pin and 8-pin cpu connector.)Quote:

What I have finally discovered is that when ACC is enabled either Auto or set manually the pc will not boot. I have to have it disabled and that causes stability issues with anything over 3GHz. Still my CCC for my 3870s will not work, still not sure what happened there. I do still have my 750w TT Toughpower I am about to test again. As far as the CPU conector, it uses the 8-pin and the PSU even comes with a second CPU connector for dual CPU motherboards that I tried as well just to make sure that nothing was wrong with the cable.
I have no idea wth is wrong, but I guess if my other PSU boots everything up as it did before I will chalk it up to a bad PSU or something.
Well here I am booted back up to my old settings of 3.2GHz and ACC set to Auto on my old PSU. So I guess something is wrong with the Corsair one. That is my only guess.

1. Can't post at 1066 ram.
2. At 3.2(stable o/c previously) bsoded in prime within 5 secs.
3. After that couldn't pass welcome screen(bsod)
Last thing tried Cpu Prefetcher= DISABLED!
Seems to be working, now priming at 3.2 cpu, if nb is up to 2.4 and ram to 1066 like in 0403 i will keep it.

I'm wondering if AGESA includes core AMD based ACC code as well. AGESA seems to be the core BIOS code that AMD sends to the mobo makers, and then the mobo dudes shape their own BIOS around AGESA. I believe that to be the case, but could be wrong.Quote:

Duploxxx, I dont know about your comment dude, ACC works great. My 9850 was stable up to about 3.3 GHz, with ACC it did 3.6 GHz @ 1.456v.
My 9950 goes good up to about 3.1 GHz, with ACC I can do 3.45 Ghz. in my case, it works like a charm.
