The Thermalright Ultima-90I wasn't as tight, but the back-mount interfered with one of the screws (image below).
I had to maul it with a dremel, but all is well.:D

any fsb utilities that work with this board as I an post at 505-550FSB but not get into windows... wanna try a program to change FSB in windows ... that said 4.5GHz on my E8400 isn't that bad- though it can do better I know.
maybe NTUNE or clockgen.

So as a result you get the dreaded C1 error. It can be resolved by using a different set of ram, booting, going into the bios and setting the memory voltage correctly, save exit, change ram and then it will work. The problem with that is if you have to reset the cmos (From overclocking or due to a bios update) you are right back in the same boat.
The corsair ram I picked up worked great right out of the package.

we at cellshock had problems like this with some of our first series ddr3 as well. the problem really is that jedec is too slow in certifying stuff and setting up specifications, so everybody kinda does his thing, and then they finally DO settle for one way of doing it which causes some people who did things different from that some trouble.

I have a couple of questions. I'm running the PVS34G1600LLK Patriot 4GB 1600 MHZ vipers but my memory speeds are both under 10k unlike some others here. Any suggestions that I need to do? Should I enable both P1 and P2? Can I run 1T?

You're the fellow who threw a tantrum about the P03R2 BIOS over at the EVGA forums aren't you?... Thought you said you flashed that bios last week?? Shouldn't you know howto increase your RAM bandwidth already?, afterall you did present yourself as a hardware guru over there.

Anyways be careful tightening up your RAM to much or you might corrupt your OS like many others have already.
The people on that board are :banana::banana::banana::banana:ing ass kissers. THey think P03R2 will blow up their system. I have a high end system like yourself and as a result I want the best performance. If nVidia has balls to release beta drivers all the time, why not release beta bios too? The only difference is that flashing it can be a tough time.
I did flash it last week, and it didn't stick. Instead when I tried to reflash it using my homebrew CD I bricked it and I had to get a new one, which took less than expected since I have Instant replacement. If you like those idiots over ther I'm sorry. I hate them.
Newegg had the SEII for $429 w/ free shipping and I couldn't let it pass. My previous EVGA 780i died 2 times. Let's see if the premium is worth it. By the way, how is the Vdroop after you enable "Loadline Calibration"??
