Hi, thanks for your answer, the store from where i will get a few other parts, has this http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16820146755 , i will get a e8400 and i want to clock it at 3600mhz for daily use, and sometimes higher when i do some movie editing. Would this kit hold 4-4-4-15 under clocked at 800 ? Also i will be using vista and xp, i know xp will only see 3.2gb of ram, would this affect the dual channel performance?

Those sticks should treat you well. I would go with either those or the new corsair 2x2gig dominator sticks. The g.skill ones i'm running work pretty well, least running their rated speed right now. Haven't tried them at 800 speeds though. They'll run just fine though if you're not wanting to pony up the extra cash for the mushkin or corsair.Quote:

i read somewhere that the max output is 0.6A
i can't give a source, but i do remember that it was a reliable one. still, you don't want to run those things at max output anyway...you're better off with a sunbeam rheobus fan controller that can handle almost anything you put on it.

I've tried 2 IDE burners, benq and pioneer, and I have a 3rd sata samsung burner. Benq is just left over from another build. But for some reason this mobo doesn't like me very much. Vdroop is horrible (tried pencil mod, didn't change much), couldn't oc my e8400 to 4ghz stable. To be honest, I've bought this mobo just because I got really pissed with SLI and CF. This is my 4th mobo this year: Maximus Formula (excelent mobo, 2xHD3870 CF sucks), Evga 780i (died and killed my RAM 2 times), P5K-E Wifi (returned because my video card blocked 2 sata ports) and this one. Overall is a good board but I don't know... I'm not really impressed. It does what is supposed to do but not being able to oc an e8400 really pissed me off. I downloaded the drivers from the 1st page, it seemed newer, and miraculously it started working too. Go figure... And I'm pushing my Q6600 up to 3825Ghz, CPUZ says 1.53~55V, and it seems stable. It's a record so far.Quote:

current is 418x9 (3.762GHz), with 1.2 RAM divider. It's passed 12hr prime95 small ftt with max temps at 63C (per hwmonitor), but current load temps are 59C. 400x9 (3.6GHz) passed 24hr prime95 and max temp was 57C. vcore, vtt and mch were all increased slightly to go to 3.7Quote:

my guess is that if i had some 1066 sticks i could probably pull off 24/7 425x9 at same volts, with divider at 1.25 (puts ram at 1063mhz)
