I can do 8-7-6-16-1T @ 2000Mhz if I bump the voltage as much as you. Go ahead and try 8-7-6-16-1T on your Dominators.
PS: Dominators $459.00 [Newegg] - $40 MIR; Cellshock $363.44 [MemoryC] $392 including next day delivery. Even with the option for next day delivery and the rebate you can get for the Dominators, CellShock still cheaper; and to me a better option.
I've got that result while beta-testing 790i, it is attached. There is nothing to be proud of though, such as those results suck (BIOS P03 without P1 and P2).
I haven't tried 2000Mhz on Foxconn yet, I prefer linked mode and without water-cooling of NB can't get FSB high enough. As soon as I will receive my NB WC stuff, then I will do it, of course.
I don't want to argue which memory kit is better, may be Cellshock. IMO there are two memory sets on the market, which can satisfy/used by extreme overclockers, and those are Cellshock DDR3-1866 blue and Corsair Dominator DDR3-1800C7, period.
Those are so close in results, someone needs to perform serious tests with statistical evaluation to find out which set is definitely better.
8-7-6-16 IMO is an incorrect setting, such as:
"the general rule of thumb is to set a tRAS equal to your CAS + tRCD + 2 (or higher). that way you're not corrupting data in memory by only partially reading/writing it" it means min for 8+7=15+2=17, I think it makes sense at 2000MHz ...
Actually I have purchased the Dominator kit seeng 3oh6's result (also attached) and I never regret about it, this set replaced Corsair Ballistix DDR3-2000 set, which was worse.
I got it from ZipZoomfly, it is like $400 with mail rebate, and at the time I got it it was impossible to find Cellshock DDR3-1866 anywhere.
BTW 2.0V voltage is not a "bump", it is in the specification for Corsair kit, 7-7-7-20@1800MHz@2V.

All I know is, CellShocks are rated for 8-8-8-16-1T at 1866Mhz, and I took those same settings to 2000Mhz. I might have expressed my thoughts incorrectly, meaning that what I meant to say was that you can't take the Dominator setting for 1800Mhz [7-7-7-20] and use them at 2000Mhz like I was able to do with the CellShocks. Granted Dominators are 1800 and the CellShocks are 1866, but the rating that CellShock gives to their RAM [stated by them directly] is a relaxed setting to ensure that you will get that result by just dialing it it, and they know of people running this RAM at 7-7-7 1866Mhz due to the large headroom the leave for people to overclock their RAM.
Now, with that in mind and the fact that eRetailers wanted about $499 for the Dominators and MemoryC just wanted $391 for the CellShock, was too easy of a decision to make when I bought them. Which is why I recommended it.
To clarify, I meant that when I set my PC to 8.5 x 500FSb [4250Mhz] my results are slower than when I set it to 9 x 475 [4275Mhz]. Eventhough the RAM is running a full 100Mhz faster. but the CPU 25Mhz slower, my result suffer a bit of a loss. I also like the fact that I can then set the vDIMM and vNB lower [1.40v vNB with 475, 1.50v vNB with 500; 1.87v vDIMM with 475, 1.955v vDIMM with 500]. You got to remember that the heat generated by the CPU at 4250 and 4275 is basically the same [in my case it is exactly the same] since the volts I apply are identical, but the NB heat goes up a bit, making the temperature in my watercooling loop higher thus raising the temperature of my CPU as well [indirectly].

Thanks for the info Telo, LardArse and flanr. After getting input from youorselves and Anandtech settings. I have been able to run 3DMark 06 and 3DMark Vantage with success so far. See pics attached. I do not know if these results are repeatable and i have yet to run Super Pi, Prime 95 , Everest Benchmark Test or Custom PC 2007 Benchamark Suite. These results were obtained with Antivurus running in the background (ie NOT disabled with full internet connection). My with Ageia panel showing 58 celcius on full load and NB temp are 42 full load (while running 3DMark Vantage CPU test)

Sashin, just like I advised Flanr, try not to use those Anandtech settings. I think they were used for a higher RAM clock, because even the AUTO settings are tighter than them. I have tighter timings and settings going at 1900Mhz than you do at 1600Mhz, meaning something is not right there.
Try to lower your PLL back to 1.50v. Furthermore, that CPU voltage, do you seriously require 1.50v? I know it is a QX and everything but that can kill it really soon. Your FSB is a mere 400Mhz and I know you got the 10x multi in effect, but your voltage shouldn't really be that high; if I were you I would try to keep it under 1.3625v. Do me a favor try these:
vCore 1.3625v
vDIMM 1.84v
vNB 1.30v - 1.40v
vSB 1.388v
PLL 15088v
VTT 1.25v [real]
Try to get rid of all those custom Anandtech settings, specially the GTL settings and set them all at AUTO. Let us know what happens.
MY PC is down at the moment since this damn 30" won't show the BIOS screen so I got to get me a double head DVI cable to send the BIOS screen to my previous 20" monitor [temporarily]; but once I do I can upload a picture of the settings. If you would like, I do have one, but it was saved at the highest quality [1,005Kb so it cannot be uploaded to the forum] I can email it to you; just PM me an email address.
I ended going with the Domnator 1800's, they were from a friend and only a little over 300
Also the clincher to me was they were version v3.1 so they are the microns also.
If i was spending so much money for ram, i wanted to make sure it was micron.....
look forward to building the blackopps system in a few weeks, but now it's time to fire up
the duality, all leak tested and start clocking the 750i/8800gts512/x3210 and the BlitxExtreme/9800gx2/dominator1800....

i have set everything to auto in the memory settings as you suggested and changed the nb and memory voltage down and cpu 9 x 475 and memory 1900
pc does post and goes in to windows fine, but it has corrupted my raid 1 :(
intel storage manager in windows is repairing at the moment so i will have to wait to try any benchmarking

1866 with 8 CAS is a weaker setting than 1800 with 7CAS, everyone knows it. But we evaluate RAM not according to the specification, we all want real performance. We can run both kits at 1866 with 7 CAS, but no way at 2000 with 7 CAS.Quote:

But such as Zipzoomfly offers Dominators for $409 (with mail-in-rebate) and set of Dominators include also pretty useful cooler, which costs separately $20, I would say there is more or less an equal choice.

BTW I run this cooler with Scythe "KAZE MASTER" 5.25" Bay Fan Controller monitoring temp on memory heat sink and RPM on the cooler, it is pretty useful for me personally to make the rig almost silent. The average RPM is around 2200 while the temp is below 32C (OC), comparing to the stock ~5000.
the raid is now repaired but i get a blue screen when i click on anything

Telo, just tried the settings you gave me and at memory timings on auto, and reduced NB and DRAM voltage and cpu GTL settings at default... the system will not post and i get LCD error 01 all the time . i have even reset and turned of the main power ...but always the same NOT able to post. I did leave the cpu voltage at 1.50.
I then tried to leave all on auto except control dll, command dll and clock dll at -2 and everything else on auto...again the system will not post. Then i did as above BUT left tRTRS, tRTRD, tWTRS, tWTRD at 6C 8C 3C 6C and the rest on auto....system boots up ...very very slow to do just about anything...clicking to run any programs is very very slow..i have not even tried to run any benchmarks as the whole system is very sluggish..
So in other words Telo, the auto settings are no good for quads on this mobo. Anyone else using Cellshocks and this mobo with a quadcore...please feel free to comment.

Hmm, damn I guess the whole thing about using a quad throws the whole result off :shrug:.
But the principle should be the same, you can try and use all of your previous settings, but try to see [if you haven't] if can get your vCore lower than 1.50v; also, you should be able to tweak the Anandtech RAM settings a bit [especially that 110T].
I posted them all in that long list of settings you quoted on your last post :shrug:. There is literally no reason why you and I, having the same board, RAM and CPU cannot use nearly identical settings. I know every board, CPU, RAM is different, but we should be able to get some close settings. I'm on the road at the moment [ain't Blackberry great? :up:], but I should be back home tonight; PM me with the times you usually mess with your PC, and I will see if we can hook up and tackle this crap. I know that you in Ireland and I'm in USA, but there is bound to be a time we both can get online and tinker with the settings.
This is marvelous. Broadcom LAN just hangs at about 95% complete, so no Internet, but the board won't recognize USB keys, so I can't bring the driver in from another computer.
Edit: Burned the driver onto a CD, now it doesn't even start to fill the Status bar at all.
Edit2: Keeps hanging at boot... starts, runs about 10 seconds, powers off and on again, then takes about 45 seconds before it will chirp and start a boot, but sometimes that 45 seconds just lasts a few minutes until I decide to reset it again.
Reluctant to boot, no USB, no LAN... the last shot will be yet another Vista install (because I can't get net user administrator to work here), and putting the G26 BIOS onto a CD to update.

got a small problem with my blackops, I cant seem to get the 1:3,2 divider to work, first I blamed it on the quadcore + 4GB combination (q6700 + 2x2 GB g.skill 1600) which is known to oc not too good, but I got some blue cellshocks in the meantime and even when using a E8400 instead of the q6700 and the cellshocks I cant get that divider to work (no boot and error 54), the weird thing is that with the same timings and volts the system boots with the 1:4 333 divider.
anyone else with problems with that divider when higher dividers work at otherwise same settings?
Of course, the "Fox LiveUpdate" locks up on opening, and the AWDFlash included with downloading the BIOS says it wants a 16 bit OS.
