Just because I have 2 startup icons for my Brother printer (multi-functional), 1 for my soundcard, 1 for my Razer mouse, 1 for my Seagate external HDD, 1 for my bluetooth device, 1 for AnyDVD, 1 for Windows Mobile Device Center and 1 for my antivirus, it doesn't mean my benchmarks are affected.
You've probably noticed that Everest was running and showing temperatures too..
I can assure you that if I disable (exit from) all those icons, my benchmarks won't produce better results.
Believe it or not, all those icons are neccessary for my kind of computer usage and don't take more than 500Kb of my 4GB of RAM (ok 3.3GB actually on a 32Bit O.S.).
On the left side of my taskbar you can see a "big" quick-launch bar.
What do you think needs more resources, shortcuts on the desktop or shortcuts on the quick-launch? :D
