In the past two months it hasn't consumed much electricity and has been dead silent, I give you that, but is no good if is silent and energy efficient just because I can't be asked to turn it on :D :p:

I spent all weekend trying to install Windows on a C300 on the Marvell controller, and come to find out...:rolleyes: Were you able to ever update the Marvell firmware successfully using the Asus 704 BIOS? I really want to get this computer up and running finally, even if I have to wait for 705 to fix the separate Intel controller issue. Thanks!

I wouldn't risk experimenting with firmware 2.2.0.1118 unless you're comfortable with the idea of reprogramming the EEPROM using a external flasher and/or desoldering the chip itself.
I managed a partial success with that one myself, but I wouldn't recommend it. Personally I ditched the 9128 and decided to buy a proper RAID controller.
Unfortunately a RAID controller in my case isn't an option, as I'm building a truly mATX build and the two video cards are covering all the slots.
When you say "partial success" what were the end results of the functionality after the flash? I saw that you had to de-solder the EPROM, but did you ever find the initial issue that caused that? Thanks!

Hmm, this is the only one I could find on Station Drivers:

So I see that from this information, this is the v1029 you referred to, but it also contains the jacked up v2.2.0.1118 you mentioned. Suggestions?
