Another one of the technicians posted in the thread on their customer support, saying that he has taken over this case from the guy who was dealing with me originally as he was only covering for him for his holidays.
Anyway, he tells me that I haven't been given a bunk chip, and that as long as it runs @ its rated speed, then that is all it is guaranteed for.
But, that isn't really the point anymore, what I am upset about is the fact that they sent me a replacement chip that had already been used, when they should have really just sent me back my original chip because it was tested and found not faulty, regardless of whether I was asking them to replace it.
Surely if a company has to send someone an RMA replacement, it should be brand new completely unused and still inside a sealed box???
I am furious about this tbh, as I really don't want to be stuck with this POS processor, it runs 10c hotter than my previous chip @ stock frequency.. that isn't right at all!!!
So, I will be giving these clowns a call tomorrow afternoon, and asking to talk to their Technical Manager, and I will explain to him what has happened, and I will also let him know that his technicians are using RMA returns in his pre built systems as well, I have got posts from the tech that was dealing with me where he has told me that one of his colleagues used my old chip in one of the pre built systems.
Somehow I don't think he will be best pleased about that!
