Foxconn Quantum Force 'Blood Rage' X58 Sneak Preview

Foxconn Quantum Force 'Blood Rage' X58 Sneak Preview

Foxconn is preparing a flagship X58 board from the Quantum Force series known as "Blood Rage" apart from Renaissance X58 board shown a few months ago. The specs looks pretty impressive with the ability to support Quad Crossfire and 3-way SLI + PhysX with four PCIe 2.0 slots, 3 channel DDR3 memory up to 1800MHz (oc), 14 phase hybrid PWM and DirectFET MOSFET technology, 4in1 Quantum cooler that provides modular NB/SB/VRM cooling solution with interchangeable NB chooling adaptors for air/water or extreme cooling. There is also a QF Panel for on-the-fly overclocking from the 5.25" drive bay and a Quantum BIOS with all the OC options. The audio aspect seems pretty neat with SONAR X-Fi sound card comes bundled. There is also a Serial Attached SCCI interface too. We can't wait to get our hands on this board!

    Wow.......

    Very hot indeed.

Interesting memory slot choice. Seems logical for the targeted market.

Is that Waterblock anodized aluminum? If so Foxconn can shove it.

Damn the mobo manufacturers are trying to kill me. This one looks so damn sexy! Why only 3 RAM slots though?

IMO that's the best looking board to date for the X58 platform. I'm digging the black pcb with black on red everywhere else.

Somehow BloodRage and blue don't blend lol.

Hmm how expensive is this thing going to be? That will pretty much be the deciding factor for me.

I see the little box thingies [chokes right?] and digital doesn't need them no? You can tell I know JACK ALL about electric circuits . However Saaya can't lie so it must be lol.

How many extreme benchers use all 4 slots on current dual channel mobos?

Sure for your normal oc'er [water / air] this could be a bad thing.

I also don't see too many tri sli folks around too.

Best Colourscheme on any mainboard yet.

3 Ram slots? sure, with 6 oc'ing will be worse than with 3, but is that really reason enough to remove the option to go for 12 GB?

Ide and floppy need to go, it might just be coincidence that you get the word Die if you rearange the letters in Ide, but that ancient stuff is pointless these days.

as naokaji said, extreme ocers wont use more then 3 anyways, but the option for more would be nice.

A "real extreme oc board" would have only the most basic I/Os and focus on power delivering and signal routing.

At second glance...I have no freaking clue, it's really hard to tell. I thought the sleek black rectangles looked like the volterrra chips that many digital pwm circuits use, but now it looks like they might be square...i just don't know.

Honestly, if it's not digital that might just be the deal breaker
I want a stiff board for X58 and ASUS already has their 16 phase offering, and there's Giga's UD3 stuff. A 14 phase digital would definitely compete, but another poor analogue circuit might be cause for dissapointment.

Indeed. Dinos22 wants a turd coloured mobo you know . I think the colour epitomises the features such a board would have.

Doesn't looks like its digital I hope thats a sample mobo because if not I don't understand why, since blackops had them and it still a tremendous board...

For what an OCer would need 6gb>? I think the less the better...

My personal opinion looks sick, I'm in love but I don't know how i'm going to place a 3-sli in there pcie are extremely close to each other...

It says It's using Hybrid PWM, But All I see is Analog PWM.
My Rig can do EpicFLOPs, Can yours?
Once this baby hits 88 TeraFLOPs, You're going to see some serious $@#%....

OK simply swapping the PCI with one of the PCIE slots would fix the tri sli spacing issue! I'm sure there's more to it than that, but it seems so simple...
