GTX 580 ammount of heat in Watts

im looking at liquid cooling my next machine
and i really need to know how much heat a GTX 580 produces in Watts @ max
    i will be cooling the GTX 580 and a i7 3770K
    and maybe OC the CPU
i was thinking of getting this
    its a water cooler

also does anyone have one of those?
can anyone advise me on how much noise they would make?
would it sound like a dehumidifier?
if so then i dont want one

    thanks for any advise

580's pull 240 under load and the 3770k pulls 166 at stock and 244 @ 4.8 under load.

those two items can put out a considerable amount of heat - especially OCed. a 250 might struggle with that load. i read a review on a 500 cooling a 5970 (dual GPU) and an i7 980X - which is probably pretty close to a 3770 + 580 (give or take). the 500 was suitable for those components with a little extra headroom - but not a lot. the 250 would probably not be enough, meaning it would run the compressor far more often (increasing noise and power consumption). for your set-up i would suggest the 500. the 300 would also be better, but i still think it would run too much/often. the 500 with a large enough tank *could* have a very low cycle time (compressor) and still provide enough cooling power to OC both components quite well.

They are louder than a dehidifier I'd say due to the need of a larger compresor. It's not silent by any means. You will know it is on.
All stock for now, no need for more, but it's gonna be soon methinks.

    okay
so its safe to say that i should ditch the water cooler
i just need a geothermal well for cooling my PC's

    anyway i have a 120.3 rad and a 140.1
if i put these in a push/pull set up would they be able to handle the max load that they would produce?

    thanks for the help

Yes. But your rads will likely be warm to the touch, and the air coming out of them will be very warm. (Nice in the winter though.)

Your air in/ water out delta will probably be 10-15C (or more), but it really depends on your fan speed. The faster (and louder) fans you use, the lower your delta will be. With extreme 38mm fans (like Delta's) in push/pull with shrouds on both sides, you could probably get down to something like a 5C delta, but it will be crazy loud.
