Any companies going to make a water block for the Gigabyte GA-990FXA-UD7

Like the title says, either full coverage or just the VRMs like EK did with the Asus CH5.

I have already validated the test sample today. The waterblock should be available in 2-3 weeks:

Like EK-FB ASUS Crosshair V it will be cheap and will not cover southbridge. We will bundle a rather chunky looking aluminum heatsink to cool the southbridge since no-one wants to cut the original heatpipe cooler!

Disclaimer: I've put an EKWB sticker over the acetal top which I managed to scratch badly

Holy moly that is a fantastic looking board. Especially without the stock heatsink.

I agree, a black aluminum heat sink with the EK logo would make it look much better. If not will any of the old north bridge/south bridge blocks work?

I vote for black as well, for both the Giga and Asus 990fx boards.

The aluminum heatsink will be black anodized, guys, this is a sample directly from the machine :P

We have compatible SB waterblocks in our arsenal if anyone wishes to cool the SB950 with water.

About Giga 990/970 UD3/UD5. We believe we have some older compatible FB kits compatible with these boards. Please consult www.coolingconfigurator.com

    Best Regards,
    Niko

Here's the hydraulic curve for this waterblock. Very decent, compares to Supreme HF!

Seems that there are no "full cover" blocks for the UD5 then??

No, not at the moment, but it seems like the EK-FB KIT GA AMD might fit. I cannot visually confirm that since the southbridge cooler's mounting holes are not visible.

Hey Tiborrr you actually don't need to cut the heatpipe if you want to use the stock Gigabyte SB heatsink.

After an hour using a small chisel tool, mini torch and an exacto-blade I got the heatpipe off from the SB heatsink without causing damage or irreversible damage.
