A drop of PTnuke works for me, one little bottle is probably a lifetime supply.

I have a similar question, I've been using Feser One (Colourless one that is UV reactive) - Is this a good coolant to use in my loop? - I've been using it for 6 months now with no noticeable problems. I have a clear reservoir and GPU blocks and they all look clean and clear so I guess it's fine but I have had people tell me Feser One is a bad coolant but I don't really know if that's true or not.

    Thoughts?

news remember the battle i had with the forum on coolant?

Well make things short, i won.

Distilled + Silver + (PT Nuke if ur using CCFL's inside your pc 24/7)

    Otherwise just distilled + silver.

no doubt... and c2SO4 has a pretty long shelf life on top.
However u dont really need it, unless ur starting your system off in a high light enviorment.
Most of the time the copper in the blocks should keep it in check at the start, then by the time the microbe is strong enough to resist copper, the silver comes in and nukes it.

So most of the time ur usually ahead of the microbe race with just silver at start.

As i said, unless u run lights inside your pc all the time.
Then your growth will outpace the silver, and u'll grow something and then have it die when the silver catches up and that will stink up (foul smelling coolant) your loop.

I've never run silver myself, just one wee tiny drop of PTnuke takes care of business for me. I've run many T-lines without any reservoir so there isn't a very good place for a chunk of silver on those setup.

PTnuke works good though. I have litterally let two loops go without a flush for 2 years with that stuff and I only had very minor bits caught in the block which likely came from the rads over time.

I considered silver on my latest build, but went along with Ferser corrosion blocker. It has served me well over the years.

Corrosion blocker is just that, it won't do squat to stop bio growth.
