    [WorkLog] ||| Phantom ||| project in a Lian Li P80 [85%]

    Hi all!

    So as you see in the title, I'll be doing a rev.1 of my watercooling system. I chose the LL PC-P80 because of its gorgeous size and design.

    I'll obviously be modding this case, as it has a lot of possibilities.

    I have access to a laser cutter and engraver, so I would like to do a nice design for the side panel, but no ideas as for now!

    Computer hardware:
    > ASUS P6T6 WS Revolution
    > i7 920 @ 4GHz
    > Corsair 12Gb 1600MHz CL8
    > EVGA (obviously! ) GTX 285 (later an SLI)
    > Be Quiet DPP 1200W
    > 3 HDD

    Watercooling equipment:

    > 2x Swiftech MCP-350 w/ Ek topv v2
    > 2x TC PA120.3
    > EK Supreme plexi CPU block
    > EK FC-GTX285 plexi GPU blocks
    > TFC red, purple, black and green cooling fluid (still don't know which one I'ma gonna use )
    > TFC 10/13 Clear non-UV and white hose
    > Koolance 10/13 fittings
    > Some Tacens Ventus 120

    ||| UPDATE 1 |||

    my favorite

    sorry for the dust

    and some sleeving

    ||| UPDATE 2 |||

    polishing of the clamp for the CPU block

    ||| UPDATE 3 |||

    Finally got the case!!!
    some pics.... (as always)

    ...

    ||| UPDATE 4 |||

    dead Dremel....

    ||| UPDATE 5 |||

    rez mounting test (thanks SNiiPE for the idea! )

    ||| UPDATE 6 |||

    aaahhhh!!!!

    Don't know how it happened, but the TC isn't straight! I measured like 10 times, and it was all OK, but only after the cut (of course, the action had to be done), I realized the error. Anyway, you don't see it from the side

    ||| UPDATE 7 |||

    ||| UPDATE 8 |||

    Again a big update

    Lightroom

    P6T6

    Finally Xonar D2X!!!!

    ||| UPDATE 9 |||

    ||| UPDATE 10 |||

    Only 2 pixes of ma new 45° swiveling Koolance fittings for the moment

    ||| UPDATE 11 |||

    Some pictures of my order from Performance-PCs

    Special pix for mib

    Thanks for reading!

    Do you guys know the exact dimensions of a LL's P80 side panel?

    I need this info to design the engravings on the side panel.
    Thanks

    In my experience your gonna want to keep 1.5" away from the edges of the panel as to avoid issues with the panel going on or off and such.

    I have 1" on permafrost and the door is a trick to get on and off

    Okay thanks guys

    Yeah I saw that it's quite a piece of art your door SNiiPE!!

    Now that I know the dimensions, I'm gonna try and design something.
    SNiiPE > Which program did you use to design your panel? I was thinking of doing it in CorelDRAW, as it is the system installed on the laser's computer.

    Oki
    I'll have to do it anyway in Corel I think. After it might be weird to move it to Corel (if I do it with solidworks 8)...

    Hi all again

    Yeah well, I see that there's a lot of people that I already know that are on XS!

    n3xT : Well yeah i forgot one sentence from polish, in fact, I copied all my log from ppc.pl.

    kvadzio : I haven't got all the components yet, but in a week, I hope everything will be in place! My other plans are the following. Finish black painting, finish painting of all accessories, mounting the liquid cooling components in the case, mounting the blocks on the mobo, and powering everything up! Oh yeah... and sleeving the whole PSU... That's gonna take quite a while I think, but I'm planning some white sleeving, because all black won't follow my B&W theme

    its coming along really great man, I'm impressed

    about your PM (my internet cut out before I could respond before) - the shroud on the pa120.3 in my build is just a standard thermochill shroud, you can buy it at sidewinder computers

    Okay thanks SNiiPE for your reply and thank you all for your nice comments! It motivates me to continue, but now it rains and it's the night here in Europe, so tomorrow I hope that I'll finish painting the case! I'll let you know

    haha yeah I am in paris ATM so I know the rain

    I thought you might be in europe - you can probably pick up that thermochill shroud straight from the uk @ thermochill direct

    What areyou doing in Paris??? Great city!! I've been there like 2-3 times, fabulous!
    Anyway, what's the web page what you're talking about? A TC retailer? I'm actually making an order with another guy on a polish forum on performance-PCs. You got a lot of stuff there! Quite impressive, nothing of these in Europe! I was thinking of taking Koolance blocks for ma P6T6 WS Revo. What do you think about them? And about Koolance? I've only fittings from them, never had a block, but I heard that the GPU blocks are very performant. Any advices?
    Thanks
