I'm fairly sure it has been designed so either is possible look back through the previous posts to make sure... I have been watching this thread silently for a while now and have to agreed that if that case was made, my next pc would be going in one

Good for you Mick, great work on those last renders. I keep hoping to see this one in production and it's the comparison for my new case. I wish you well on this on!

There's always 1 thing that comes to mind when I see your case and the TJ07 and the lookalikes,
how the hell do you mount the rad at the bottom/top so it's fastened, or do people just keep it loose?

This might look silly, but I've looked at quite a few pictures of them, but never saw them fastened in any way.
Enlighten this enpuzzled guy please! :P

    Mick,

I just wanted to say that I think your design is looking very nice.

FWIW, you might look around for someone who is involved in building aluminum aircraft ( ie: experimental "homebuilt" designs). Having done some of this in the past, I'd say that they are very resourceful in finding ways to build complex aluminum structures. You might find someone who could help you build your case. Check out your local Experimental Aircraft Association chapter for leads.

Small change to the PSU area, so that you can mount the PSU with fan facing up or down. This was brought about after a discussion on my 'Liquid Cooling ' thread....

    System :- Gunmetal Antec P182 : Antec Quattro 850 : Asus P5E Deluxe : Intel Q9550 (E0) @ 4004MHz (8.5 x 471 FSB) 1.4 volts (VID: 1.3v) : 8Gb 1100 OCZ Gold XTC @ 942MHz 2.0 volts (5-5-5-15) : Gainward GTX 570 GS GLH (GPU: 800MHz, Shader: 1600MHz, Memory: 2000MHz) : 1x 128Gb Crucial RealSSD + Asus U3S6 (OS) : 1x 1Tb & 2x 500Gb Samsung Spinpoints (Storage) : Microsoft Windows 7 Home Premium (64bit)

what happen to the quad and triple rad mounts

how could you take the overkill part of it away

and for the hdd mounts i would get spring loaded holders so the the screws just click in and click out

You don't need a quad mount to mount a quad rad, you still put in the quad rad, it just bolts on to a triple mount. The extra length of the bracket was removed so if you only had a triple rad you can add a removable HDD cage.

Looks like it's coming together nicely. If this ever gets into production, I'd definitely consider one.

Just thought of something, you may want to change the screw holes for the radiators to screw slots, to account for different fan spacing.

Added slots to rad brackets and PSU can be mounted top or bottom....

    very good design m8 !

Hope you planning this case for universal usage? - i mean users can install different size mobos by 'form factor' standart - like ATX, eATX (extended) , mATX
    -- ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/ATX )
of course i understand, this is a concept drawing currently and etc not every detail isn't that precise or visible .. anyway just on base my visual imagination at the moment .. one thing i noticed
    - the holes (for 24pin cable routing from backside of mobo try ) the holes should be a lil' larger (wider?)
to avoid the covering them with larger (wider) mobo

just to clear what i mean - my example is on base:
2 mobos and... 2 different chassis what i have in use currently

    Asus Rampage Extreme ATX Form Factor 12 inch x 9.6 inch ( 30.5 cm x24.5 cm )
    Asus Maximus Extreme (e)ATX Form Factor 12 inch x 10.6 inch ( 30.5 cm x 26.9 cm )

antec P182 - i had quite hard times to install maximus extreme (e)ATX Form Factor 12 inch x 10.6 inch ( 30.5 cm x 26.9 cm ) and route the 24pin via backside of mobo try !
CM HAF932 -- this area is perfectly planned and no problems with both (upper mentioned) and seems even larger MoBo will fit well

Also how much free space you planning between the back-(left-) side panel and mobo try? - meaning the space for cable routing /cable management ?
again - i bring up an example on CM Haf932 here, because this case have ~2 -> 2.5 cm space, and it is more or less Perfect
if you interested - i have some haf932 photos here http://www.techpowerup.com/gallery/2089.html
