I just hope i can still use the new fans and controller i bought to really "pimp" it up!

That thing is seriously hideous. It's amazing how a small design change can take something from "meh, not bad" to "KILL IT".

Give me a 900 with cable management, black interior and no freaking LEDs and I'll buy it.

Quick update as i recieved mine yesterday..

Definately an ugrade from a 900, it has all the holes needed for cable management, including at the top of the case for the 8pin atx power. And i really like the removable dust filters as it was a pain unscrewing all the screws on the front grills to change the old ones.

I had to rip the front and rear fans out as they are hard wired into the switches on the front and rear, so no way of fully removing the little knobs on the front but other than that, im happy!

Will get some pictures up soon!

I was very disappointed when I had the original 900 and it looks like this is only slightly better.

It looks like it still has the pita drive cages. Do you have to pull the cage out to remove the filter too? From the pic in that review it kind of looks like it.
The PSU still has to mount upside down and get air from inside the case instead of from outside like other cases.
I think it is uglier on the outside, the all black inside is very nice though.

Why is the rear fan exhausting while the fan on the TRUE is intaking from the rear? Also where did you get the LED Scythe fan?

Thats why drugs & PC building don't mix, you get problems like that.

Yep, to remove the dust filters you do need to pull the cages out a little bit.

And yes, i mistakenly put the cpu fan on the wrong way round, i will change it but its a real pain in the butt trying to get the clips over the fan when its all fitted to the mobo, i will leave it for when my patience levels are high!

I got the fans from Komponentcentre.com based in sweden..

Which involves unscrewing the cages. That has got to be one of the worst design faults I have ever seen, right next to the first 900 with it's super short power button lead

You will have to remove both side panels and 4 screws to remove a filter? Antec needs to take a look at the coolermaster 690 before they design any more cases.

Yep, i guess they could have designed that better but its not like you need to do it everyday, or even every week, so i can live with it.

As promised here are some pics of the cable management, im still not so happy with it, i really want it to be "perfect" all thanks to some of the builds on here!

I really want to reverse mount the hard drives as that would eliminate alot of the mess at the bottom.

And finally, i have mounted my cpu fan the correct way around!

Thanks man, i find myself just staring at it sometimes (alot of the time) although looking at the pic of the cable management inside the case, its still not "right", i really need to tidy it up some more!

    Edit.

I really want to reverse mount the HDDs, is it the same process as the 900? does anyone know of a decent how 2 anywhere? i have seen the antec 900 thread but it doesnt go into detail in exactly what you need to do to do this..

I think the original is better in the looks department. The new holes are nice.

This is why i moved away from the Ante cases. I found their depth very limited with the HDD bays they need to use the side mounted bay drives to eliminate the cable mess.

But the 900 2 seems to be slightly better than both the 1200 and 900 v1.

Good job on the 900 2 btw, nice clean pics.

    Great case!
Before I had decided to construct my own case, this was one of my options.

    The case looks decent enough.
But i think it has been released a bit too late.
It combinds the best bits of the 900 with the 1200.
Though i dont quite like the name.
Should have kept up with the antec gaming names, the 300,900,1000,1200 :P
