"Best" is very subjective and is based on your own personal requirements and how much you want to experiement.

However if you are looking for an All in One bottle coolant then try out Feser One.
    http://www.feser-one.com/site/index.php?cPath=68

Otherwise you are looking at distilled water with additives like these:

My only experience has been with Zalman. I had gunk issues after about 3 months. From then on out it has been distilled water with ptNuke from Petra.

distilled + additives is the way to go if you are running a mixed loop.

If you are running an all copper or all alu loop and still want color then look into high quality printer ink.

    check my thread: http://www.xtremesystems.org/forums/...39#post3523839

I have used 3ml of ink in 6 litres of water and it turned the coolant in a very distinct blu liquid.

Any tone is available provided tou have the three base (primary) colors all ink cartridges have. If you want uv reactivness then this will not do. But the color looks great!

Impact on temperatures is nonexistant according to my findings.

    it really depends.

Color: Feser + Distilled(mix until you get the exact color you want)
Clear: Distilled + prescribed amount of PT nuke <-- Better performing, but the difference is minimal

    sorry to double post.

Do you get any gunk or anything like that in your blocks?
How long have you been running with ink your loop?
    What pump do you have?
Any separation of the ink+DI at all yet?

edit: i see you have dual iwaki MD-30s.

I have used and been sponsored by Fluid XP and Feser and in my n00bier days used the TT stuff and others. At my ripe old age I am back to DI + PT Nuke + sometimes Feser anti-corrosion. If I need colored fluid due to requirements I have no problem using either Fluid XP or Feser. For day to day I prefer Feser/DD tubing (tho others here have said the new Primoflex LT is also good so just go with what you feel comfortable with) with DI for simplicity.

I <3 Zalman air heatsink fans. I use them exclusively (never even used a TRUE).

edit: i see you have dual iwaki MD-30s.

nothing at all. No staining of tubes nor block. No separation and very intense coloring for very little amount of ink added.

    Pretty much amazing.....

I've been running the loop for several days (weeks actually) and have noticed no side effects. The only problem is uv reactivness....but I can live with that.

Bear in mind that ink is supposed to be:

    1. characterised by very low viscosity and small molecular volume. That is to provide optimal spraying from ink jets I guess

    2. highly resistant in time against aging, uv rays and general abrasion

    3. concentrated thus lasting longer in cartridges

    4. stable at high temperatures and not prone to separation. Ink jets work with heat so any gunk would likely block them.

Gunk may form in the long run with the stuff pure and inkjected in minuscule jet holes like the ones in the cartridges. Unlikely *any* resude will form in my blocks. Maybe some stains in the remote future but I can live with that since a quick clensing bath will most likely clean the copper and the acrylic.

    Hope this helped.

P.s. 16m of head pressure stresses any coolant to the max given average usage in loops.

Zalman is ok when it comes to CNPS9700 and their other heatsinks.

On the other hand, Thermaltake is excluded when it comes to cases, their other products -> (water cooling, lets not even mention this please)

    best coolant...

getting ultra fine diamond particles like super super fine..

    Mixing it in water..

of course good luck finding the ultra fine diamond dust particles...

Another vote for colored tubing and just distilled water with something like PT Nuke to kill any nasties that want to grow in your water. That is, of course, assuming you can't find the diamond particles

MCT-5 Been using this for over a year, plenty of nasty spills on motherboard, GPU etc.. No issues . I do change my fluid every 12 months and did not notice any gunk in the loop / cpu block

the real answer is straight distilled if your not mixing metals...

And (innovotek or koolance premix) if you are mixing metals (and i hope you arent)....

thats pretty interesting, I'll send in you a message in like a month or so; or post a thread if you ever run into problems. Interested to see how this goes for you.

How well would a pump handle the increased viscosity of diamond-water?

magnetically driven pumps not very well. Also you might want to have a resistant interior as any roughness on the microparticles would sand down any joint or surface.

You might want to look at mechanical displacement pumps but then again the materials of the pump would have to tollerate the slight but constant abrasion from the diamond particles.

Not to mention the blocks would be completely carved out. Microchannels would be cancelled in a few months probably.

Maybe I am wrong just seems a sensible guess.

most likely your correct on all grounds...

but it would have the best thermal transfer for any fluid..
