It looks like the road is moving and the ATV is stationary. Watch it when it makes a turn.

It could be a good came if they ditched the tricks and made it a racing game.

I purchased it on release, it's a fantastic game. The videos and pictures don't come close to giving it justice.

I played the 360 demo on my 32" aquos and it looked pretty damn good IMO. Not quite motorstorm graphics but unlike motorstom, the game is worth playing for more than 5 minutes.

I just bought the game today for PC (with somewhat high hopes) but it stinks big time! It only has 4 graphic options (Shader on/off, resolution, postprocessing on/off, and one other one I can't remember)? I'm not sure what I was thinking when I bought it as I had read reviews although I truly didn't think the graphics would be this bad? Actually the worst part is the poor textures, if they were better I'd be much happier. I'm about to try forcing some AF/AA from RT but I'm not hopeful, if that doesn't work I'm gonna try finding and modifying the user.cfg (if the game has such a file that is). Before I completely kill the game however I'm gonna give it some more time and see if it grows on me.

I got motorstorm with my ps3 and was pretty unimpressed. Looks stunning but I was bored after 2-3 races.

I'm hoping that PURE will be the complete opposite, its the only thing that would make this game worthwhile!

it's obviously a dx9 screenshot, judging from the smoke particles clipping though the ground

It looks like a slightly fun game, but some of the tricks in the trailer are very retarded.

The reason it's looks that way is because you don't get any options but those three until AFTER you complete the tutorial, that's when you can adjust the graphics settings.

When you first start out the tutorial(it takes a whole two minutes to complete it)your stuck with the lowest settings and 1024x768-after completion, that 's when all your options become available.

Don't be so quick to judge

Unfortunatley Flinch I was talking about those extra options you get once you complete the tutorial, granted you get a couple extra options but still not enough to overally improve the textures and the like. With that said however after putting in some more time I'm realizing that its the gameplay in this game that makes it fun, not so much the graphics (yeah I know that sounds kinda obvious), lol. So despite my earlier posts I am actually enjoying it although it would be nice to have some extra eye candy while playing? Are you enjoying Flinch so far?

You guys are infected with Crysis virus. Yet it has some weird symptoms. since a game with crappy graphics like Spore looks similar to Crysis in some opinions. I recommend you stick with Crysis until Crysis 2 is out, or maybe FarCry 2 cause anything else will fell crappy and unrealistic.

yep , i also installed the game today , lots of FUN !

we already know there are a lot of ppl who dont like this type of Games (tastes) , but the game is good in his "class" !

It's a matter of Tastes , lots of ppl love Spore , and i cant even play the game 5 minuts

Btw: PURE was considered the best E3 Race game from Game Critic Awards.

I'm having stupid fun with this game, been a long time since I've been this addicted.

Since the manual doesn't explain much here's a few things I've learned:

*Once you win parts and you go to the garage to install them, you have to highlight the new part and hit enter. You'll have *standard* then next to it you will have +1 etc, go over and highlight the +1 to install it.

*For the trick levels, it's imperative that you build another ATV just for stunts, those two aspects have made my life so much easier after figuring them out.

Me and a buddy of mine are eventually going to have a server up, hopefully next Saturday, so if you find yourself enjoying it just give me a holler and your welcome to come and wreak havoc on it with us

Why choose such a bad pic so every1 here starts moan about the graphics. It's the motion blur which isn't very screenshot friendly.

Take a look at gamespot or something, the graphics aren't THAT bad. But still graphics doesn't mean much in a game like this, it's all about gameplay. This game looks more fun than Crysis Warhead at least.

XSAlliN - I see what your saying and I think your right (infact I kinda feel like an idiot for critizing the graphics so much when the real point of this game is racing and doing tricks). Mascaras really hit the nail on the head regarding peoples taste, I really like racing type games to be very realistic (GTR, GTL, GTR2, GTR Evo, and Burns Rally) although I'm learning to just enjoy the game and have some fun as this is the point of games anyway, lol!

Flinch - Thanks a bunch for the tips, much apprecaited! I haven't spent enough time with the game to aquire new parts and the like but since you have, do these new parts actually effect the performance and handling characteristics of the ATV or is that aspect of the game just for fun? It seems from what you have said and from the reviews I've read that these upgrades do indeed effect the ATV's, I certainly hope so!

RPGWiZaRD - Good point and one that I'm starting to understand (as mentioned above). This game was meant to have fun and go fast, it wasn't meant as a ATV racing sim.
