small update
ditched the small L idea and just inset the original covers for the front panel
better explained in the pics. the center cover maybe too high up and might
be covering the HD so that might be changed (cut) still deciding where to put
that second rad. the MCR240 sits nicely on the bottom, but im still iffy about
the MCR360 on top. well see i still got time since in waiting on EK.
enjoy
hmmmm interesting idea on mounting that acrylic @ the front..
I was thinking of doing the same thing! (great mind think alike?) but cutting bezels and using them as a L now i'm not sure
I've been to busy lately to come up with a solution on the mounting...
Maybe i should give it go now hmm...
Looking good mate look 4ward to more updates
indeed great minds do think alike. i would suggest you not to cut it because
they tend to be flimsy, i was glad i thought about it before cutting them i still
might change the way its mounted because i dont like the bezel in the center
so that might be cut. ill probably work it out tonight or tomorrow busy week
and i really need a scroll saw.
no update today, i need a few of those off center fittings. emailed eddy and
he says that the tops are either going into production today or at least by this considering that its eddy its probably in production but hes a busy man
really im waiting it out for the top, because i got no idea how im going to
place everything ill do some drawing mock ups but probably wont help
much lol.
thanks for the interest
week
great looking build. i love reading build logs when they are for something like this.
- Silverstone FT-01B
- Corsair HX620
- DFI LanParty DK 790FX-M2RS
- AMD X2 6400+ BE w/ Thermalright Ultima 90 @ 3.2
- 2 x 1 GB G.Skill DDR800(4-4-4-12)
- 2 x 1 GB Corsair XMS2 Dominator(4-4-4-12)
- BFG Tech 9800GTX(stock cooling for now)
- 2 - 250GB Seagate SATA
Amazing work!
thanks guys, well didnt do much yesterday. i really hope the ek top solves the
vid card issue. then the only other issue that ill have is with the rads. i think
im going to get some acryan black brushed metal sheet for the front panel. i
painted it black yesterday and i dont like the results. well see i still got time.
i might go with the tint idea but i dont like the fact that the finishes are no longer
similar
well thanks for the encouraging words i will keep up the progress
That looks much better than just the acrylic.
Are you gonna have a design cut in that, for a frontal window of the HDD still?
Cause I'm actually really diggin the blankness of it. Gives it a stealthy look.

small update:
finished wiring up the LEDS for the mobo. still waiting on
eddy for the replacement top. thinking about getting parts
powder coated, but not sure where too. bare with me, alot
of pics and most are redundant
enjoy
Wow I was never a fan of the clear blocks but you are now making me a fan of them. Love what you did here with the block LED's. Good job!
all I can say is OMG that is very sexy. Wish I had that talent

Hey evil
Just wondering if you had heard anything back from Eddy yet as I haven't?
Loving you build btw, Kinda wish I had gone clear blocks now.
Well done evil...well done! You make those clear blocks look amazing!
could you post some pics of the LED connections? I'm interested to see your wiring and the solution you came up with for connecting them to the PSU. . .
They say the definition of madness is doing the same thing and expecting a different result.

sure, its not complete, meaning im going to change it in the future but i can
show you guys. i can easily explain it, its not to complicated. its really just
connected to the 12v line on the PSU with 100 ohm resistors inline on each
3 array of LEDS.
like this
-12dcv - LED +- LED +- LED + 100ohm +12dcv X 3
