This image could be fake! It looks like it was taken from here.

We have a reliable source saying that there's no significant differences between the drivers here.

That's what I've heard around the web. Plus, the fact that Nvidia has already stated that the G92b (9800 series on 55nm) will be around for 6-12 months more so yea, no new high end very soon.

Good god... Seriously the 55nm chip is next year? Thats a shame Oh well guess I'll be looking at ATI's cards. Then again think i was anyways... dual GPU yumm.

DX9 1900x1200 AA=No AA, 32 bit test, Quality: Medium, Overall Average FPS: 68.34

This was interesting as the scenery moved by I watch rocks pop up on the beach. I didn’t know rocks could grow so fast!

From this little exercise it looks like a GeForce GTX 280 is only slightly faster than a pair of 8800 GTs. Could that really be true? I want to see what happens Monday.

There preliminary conclusions say they are hard at work on Crysis High settings as well along with AA so we can hope it gets better.
well that makes sense because GX2 as far i as i know is a pair of GTS

I wonder where is the 50% more perfomance per shader promised by DilTech and others...

What you're talking about was from Nvidia themselves, and the statement they made was too generic/vague to judge what performance gain to expect. Taking shader-intensive Crysis from the above chart (assuming it's genuine), there's more than one test with a 50%+ increase in performance, but measuring exactly the kind of improvements they referred to in their claim isn't this easy.

Yes there is a 50-60-70% which is NICE. But you have 87,5% more shaders. That plus that 50% more efficiency... hence the at the end. And I'm only talking about those test valid when were are tallking about this shader efficiency/count, which automatically excludes those limited by CPU at low resolutions and those where the 300%+ gains are because the 9800GTX runs out of memory.

The card is really fast, but the hype around it reminds me of the R600's. Next time less hype will end with way more impressed people.

Yeah that satement was too generic and was likely more of a 50% improvement over the previous generation as a whole from what reviews show (as it seems to beat GX2 soundly in games that don't scale with SLI, and not so well versus some that do so ~50% average over GX2 is pretty good).

Looks like the GTX280 provides a small improvmenet at < 1920x1200 resolutions but really begins to shine at higher settings

Yea it really starts looking like there will be a price drop, $650 in my eyes of the benchmarks that are available so far doesn't cut it. More appropriate would be $500 with launch prices hovering around $550 tag.
