    Thanks for reporting.

I was expecting better results though. Did you try with any other forceware driver or is it in your plans?

yeah same here, people were hitting well over 100k with tri sli 8800ultras, while clock:clock ultras are faster than 9800gtxs, the difference shouldn't be this much

Lets see some other tests! I would love to see this directly pitted against three ultras. With same cpu, at same speed, by you! (go get three ultras )

9800GTXs will undoubtedly clock much higher than Ultras, and hopefully scale a bit better with more volts, but the Ultra, to me, is still a 'stronger' card.

FOr high res gaming it's still the best in single GPU standards

That's why I say it's stronger. Memory bandwidth makes a big difference.

And for AA/AF/HDR. The 9800GTX cries in pain when you turn the candy on.

For my part I know nothing with any certainty, but the sight of the stars makes me dream.

Either nVidia didn't realize what a monster 8800GTX/Ultras were at the outset, or they realized AMD wasn't competing so they took the reins in on their roadmap a bit. I'm gonna guess the latter is true. Hopefully, they're seeing AMD isn't resting on its laurels in the graphics division, and nVidia better keep the lid on the high end.

I've got a feeling that the specs from the 2900XT on paper looked incredible. So they went all out. I think they really didn't realise what a monster the GTX/Ultra would be. They went all out with quality of the parts, bus, mem and to this day is STILL the quickest card (clock per clock).

That's not exactly true, only in high res and with AA the Ultra beats an 9800GTX,the guys that have Ultra SLI have done the best buy in alot of years

Well, most of them also paid around $1500 for a pair of video cards.

I meant that the GTX beats the GTX as it's clocked higher. Clock it at 575 or 612 and see if it beats them. The 9800GTX is a great card regardless, it's just that it doesn't make you think that nvidia went all out as the 8800GTX did. No need to is my point (and still holding on to the next gen).

Anyway ZoLKoRn that's one killer setup (you need more fans thou ). Can you give any gaming benches???

I am as well waiting for the result TRI SLI vs Quad SLI.

But is it possible to install a raid card between the GX2's, if possible , i will pick Quad SLI , i can get better HD peformance with raid card.

Great score. I love to look at the picture of that setup. What temps are you getting on the CPU at 4.5GHZ?

First I thought these scores were not bad, but then I saw the thread
about the 3×MXM 3850 now has some scores slightly oc'd, and it beats
    both of these scores
(Yes, I know benchmark score != irl score, but it was still funny.)

    In games i dont know , But in 3dmark 2006 a single 9800GX2 scores +- the same as Tri-SLI 9800GTX

    Tri -SLi 9800GTX ( 770Mhz / 1150/ 1925) - QX9770 @ 4.5ghz

    Pedro rocha result @ 9800GX2 (740Mhz / 1130 / 1850 ) - QX9650 @ 4300Mhz

    Note:

    9800GX2 >> windows XP

    9800GTX Tri-SLI >> Vista
