Optimize your Overclock

Guess I already DLed resized version. Fits good on 20" wide and some space left. Should be fine for 19" wide.

Personally if I were knew to overclocking and I looked at that, I'd think overclocking was rocket science. Maybe it's the fact that my attention span is shorter than that of a fly, but I still don't understand that article at all.

I'm in this boat as well. Why take a simple concept like overclocking and make it ridiculously complicated for no apparent reason? Some may disagree but I think it's simple until others make it complicated.

EDIT: So basically, to sum this "guide" up in a sentence, Tighter Timings = Better Performance. But if you add funky graphics, arrows, colorful dotted lines and put it all in a nicely organized Excel file it somehow becomes extremely complicated and requires at least a good 10 minutes to understand, when in that time you could be in your BIOS playing with timings and "optimizing your overclock" all by yourself.

i think it's paving the way for ddr3.
1333-1800Mz ram is out of my league. and those speeds at cas4 ....arent realistic at the moment.

I think it states something else. What I got from a brief reading of the article is that it is pointing which are the optimal ranges (FSB, DDR2 speeds, etc) you should hit at a certain timing (in particular CAS) in order to achieve the best overclock for your system. Although it does look intimidating at first, it you read through it slower it becomes easy to understand
