I guess Intel figured if they could get 3x the price for the same silicon in a CPU by adding "Extreme" to the label and "X" to the model, the same would work for chipsets ;) From what I've read, only Tier 1 manufacturers will even get a shot at them and judging from projected X38 board prices, Asus' X48 board should cost right around $500 :rofl:
