I don't have any fancy test equipment at my disposal so I did the next best thing, real world usage.

The 12 volt rail at the lowest point hit 12.25 in cpu test 1......
I think it's needless to say that this PSU can pull rated specs and then some :up:

so what sort of drop do you see on 12V during heavy tests?
Idle 12 volt rail read 12.28, Load in cpu test 1, 12.25v was the lowest it dipped.
cpu load on an amd...ummm thats less than 200w....try loading the gpu's as well...furmark perhaps?
Need more hardware to load it with and cook it...

Vantage might load me a tad more platfom wise but I was quick testing. Good enough for me.....the way my cards are clocked with this bios they consume roughly 800 watts in 06 tested on dedicated PSU with killawatt.....not to mention its the only test I have to back off the clocks the most on which tells me they are being loaded more.Quote:

HX750 are high end stuff as well. Although tests for it are hard to come by...

i was less than impressed with the acoustic noise profile from this PSU. I also received a replacement from newegg as well as an advance RMA from corsair, and between all three, they all bothered me enough to return it.
i ended up buying a seasonic M12D instead. that being said i was furiously impressed by the performance of this PSU. that and its ergonomics really made for a stellar combination.
as for me, the difference was the noise profile from both the circuit system on the PSU as well as the 140mm fan, both bothered me enough to say "no thanks"
i have three computers in my bedroom during the winter for heating, and with my sleep habits, having silent PC's is absolutely paramount, so thats why im such a stickler.
It's ugly but as usual I try to deliver........This PSU can certainly stand some abuse.........
2x 5970, 1x4870 x2 and 1 x 4890 was the final config I got to work......
The x2 and 4890 are there for idle power usage. Both boot with max volts possible via bios softmod.

I have the hx750 powering a q6600@3.6 GHz and two 9800GX2. Running einstein@home 24/7 CUDA style. The GPUs arenīt fully utilized. The PSU draws 450W out of the wall and is silent. Best PSU for me so far.
Too bad it has only one 8 pin EPS connector... I own one and I'm impressed how it is working :)
The PSU is great for sure but it would have been interesting to see some Kill-A-Watt results. BTW, a much smarter aproach than 3DMark06 on 4 GPU (when you have 7 GPU installed) is to to some GPU calculation on all the GPU (folding for example) ;)
It's not hard to calculate the load.....there are idle / load results all over the web for all cards mounted on board, add 200 Watt for platform at the speed it ran..... Crunching on this setup would have way exceeded specs......not that i already didn't but I was short burst testing. There are better ways to purposely kill a PSU ( which was not my intentions ) without killing $1800 worth of GPU's that could not breathe and were running hot from being stacked on each others intake fans ;)Quote:

If the second test wasn't 100% load i'll eat my shorts and you are in denial especially since the 2 cards at IDLE are Idling at there load max volts via custom bios's.

Well, when you have the time, it's better to have rock solid results with 2 x HD5970 and a killawatt. More close to real life usage.
Anyway, I could duplicate the system and find out the load, but that would be like doing a part of your work :)

I'm very happy with my H50 setup.
At first I had a noisy setup with NeXXos block, triple rad, laing pump, etc and I wanted something quiet.
I lapped the base and I put 2 fans on the little rad.
There is almost no difference in temps.

For those interested in the TX750 heres a review where it got pushed up to 900watts without exceeding the allowed voltage noise limit http://www.hardwaresecrets.com/article/505/8 so I would say that the TX750 is a well made PSU. Now on the PSU load test Im surprised no one has brought up OCCT, it has a PSU Burn function which stresses your whole system. Talking Linpack and Furmark rolled into one epic PSU destroyer, I get my TX750 into the 550+ watt range easy with my sig rig. I can tell by the fan speeding up, this is controlled not only by heat but by power usage. Before anyone says that this is impossible, I know my cards reach the 120 watt level per card and my CPU with its overclock can hit 230 watts add in the mobo, RAM and HDDs and this kinda makes sense. Or it does to me perhaps.
Before I forget thats some crazy GPU loading you have going on there, two 5970s + 4879X2 and a 4890, just lol really.
