Also kudos to Asus for making such a well designed board, that could have been the DDR2 Quad Core FSB king if they'd added these options about 10 months ago :D Shame it's end of line now but never the less it's now able to reach its potential in the right hands.

This bios breaks down the Quad Core 500Mhz FSB wall if you know what you are doing :)

I just have one question, is there ever going to be a final bios for the striker 2 extreme ? everybody is getting final bios, why not for this board ? very frustrating.

The Striker II Extreme is considered to be an old product, and Asus doesn't really care about it.
The last few BIOSes were very good ( considering how crappy the nFORCE chipsets are ).

neo mike when they say final it just means its final for that bios number(official and no longer beta)and not the last bios to be released for the board.i think

Ohh ok Radaja thanks. Yes 1202 is a decent bios, but there are many improvments that could be made, and if im not mistaken, dont motherboards usaully end up with a final bios ?, oh well i guess 1202 is final, then why is it not even listed on asus site ?.

ASUS released this BIOS to soon. They should have wait to make this BIOS official after we tested it and confirmed that there are no big problems running with that BIOS.:mad:

The problem isn't the higher DDR speed. The memory is running stable at higher DDR speeds now with this BIOS. It's running fine with Core2Duo CPU's. But it doesn't like my Quad.

1301 was a cpu compatability bios
1402 has no release notes yet.

The bios has not been officially released yet which explains no release notes but here it is, personally I going to wait.
However 1301 has been pretty friendly to my QX9650 and I can recommend it.
