finally removed the sticker protection on the anticylon
http://i253.photobucket.com/albums/h...esIMG_2996.jpg
the compression fittings don't really seat nicely on the horizontal holes, will most likely leak... have to use normal barbs
http://i253.photobucket.com/albums/h...esIMG_2999.jpg
the compression fitting fits well on the bottom hole though... hmmmm
first time i saw them... i knew i had to have them!
ViperJohn ViperCheck Flow Indicator (too bad the third hole cannot accomodate a bitspower temp sensor. the temp probe is too long, it would hit the fins and stop it from spinning.) yes, there are cracks on the faceplate, but ViperJohn is so generous he's sending a replacement foc (eventhough that unit was from pts).

improving top ventilation
i could only work on the project a little bit at a time...
the top of the cosmos s has a removable cover on top.
http://i253.photobucket.com/albums/h...esIMG_2753.jpg
but the bottom part of the cover, it has these plastic that were probably there for structural support, but it looks like they restrict some flow...
http://i253.photobucket.com/albums/h...esIMG_2752.jpg
...and they're off

i can feel the hot air more now coming off the top of the case

redvolutionized corsair dominator airflow
the case (part 1): cuts... nibbles
had to rush finalizing the case, especially the painting
1, my wife will be starting to work from home and the paint fumes would be bad
2, it hasn't been raining lately here, must take advantage of the sun!
3, i have to finish the build before my bday next week! :ROTF:
i know i'd be breaking the standards of xs with a crappy case prep, but a rookie is entitled to mistakes, yes? anyways, i think there won't be anyone more disappointed than myself... *sigh*
anyways, here it goes...
disassembled case, with markings for where the mobo was, masked and drew where i plan to cut holes for added ventilation/access on the back of the mobo
http://i253.photobucket.com/albums/h...esIMG_3491.jpg
cut... more like nibbled by the nibbling tool. whoa! lion was hiding behind all along!
http://i253.photobucket.com/albums/h...esIMG_3645.jpg
after some mock-ups, i realized that the wires from psu can't be hidden under the mobo, clearance provided by the raisers weren't enough. so i nibbled another hole for wire management
http://i253.photobucket.com/albums/h...esIMG_3813.jpg
the strip with drill holes beside it, are for the res
http://i253.photobucket.com/albums/h...esIMG_3831.jpg
removed the mesh on top for the 360 rad
http://i253.photobucket.com/albums/h...esIMG_3829.jpg
nibbled the bottom to have hole for the 240 rad
http://i253.photobucket.com/albums/h...esIMG_3644.jpg
the case (part 2): mock up
before i started priming the case, i did a quick mock up on how the components would be mounted. to make sure i would have less cuttings to do after painting.

the top rad with 3 scythes for pulling the air out
http://i253.photobucket.com/albums/h...esIMG_3935.jpg
saw that i to adjust/file the 2 screw holes for the fan near the back of the case
http://i253.photobucket.com/albums/h...esIMG_3884.jpg
checking the clearance, if ever i decide to go push-pull config for the top rad
http://i253.photobucket.com/albums/h...esIMG_3879.jpg
the bottom rad with no fans!?
http://i253.photobucket.com/albums/h...esIMG_3928.jpg
there they are... :D at the bottom of the case configured to push air into the case.
was actually thinking of pull config, but i think i'd be scolded and lectured on the physics of air...
http://i253.photobucket.com/albums/h...esIMG_3904.jpg
another view at the bottom with 2 scythes. initially thought of putting the zalman zmf3 rls there for the bling effect,
but i decided go with function rather than form especially if the pumps are close to the rad
