My result @ 19*219MHz with plain water cooling:)
Prime Blend 1Hr Stable

Nice Venom. My Feser 480 rad arrived the other day, so will start to build up water cooling loop so can start testing my i7 920s on H20 instead of air sometime this weekend :)
yup fine balance for all voltages and each memory kit and cpu combination will have a difference balance even for same model/speed memory kit. But i've never corrupted my bios as yet :)
9-9-9-X Kits most likely Samsung HCF0, so shouldn't have problems. If you have the 6GB Kingston HyperX T1 DDR3-2000Mhz 8-8-8-24 kit then they're the new Elpida 50mm Hyper ICs same used in Corsair Dominator GT 7-8-7-20, OCZ Blade PC3-16000 7-8-7-x and G.Skill's Perfect Storm DDR3-2000 7-8-7-x.
If you have these Elpida, SOME kits might need to do some ADDR/CMD Bus VREF tweaking.
ADDR/CMD Bus VREF set at 105 @DDR3-2209Mhz 7-8-7-20 2T at 1.92v vdimm bios set (1.925v real DMM).
@DDR3-2209Mhz 7-8-7-20 2T at 1.92v vdimm bios set (1.925v real DMM)
http://fileshosts.com/intel/DFI/DFI_...1m18s043ms.png
Validation is at DDR3-2209Mhz just cpuz clock momentarily jumped to DDR3-2212Mhz :)
http://fileshosts.com/intel/DFI/DFI_...cpuz_valid.png
@DDR3-2286Mhz 7-8-7-20 1T at 1.875v vdimm bios set (~1.880v real DMM)
Still not close to my best I did when i first got my GT set with DFI UT X58-T3EH8 with 1/23 beta bios.

Thanks alot eva2000. Just have to find them in stock somewhere.
EDIT: Kingston's site shows them to be out of stock until 6/10/2009!!!!
well eva not suprised with the vref
with the r2e when i was getting the 2000 CL8 stable on that board i had to set -12.5mv. reminds me of rampage extreme kekke
but the rtl really helps a lot on 1n settings vs 2n.
thats how i got a lot of the 1n stable at 2n voltages.
usually channel a vs channel b is +1/+2 and channel c is +2/+3 of channel B
btw left it at auto because of this
is there something wrong with the vref
if on stress if bsod .. prime 95
say set all 3 to 95.
if bsod
go back to bios channel b will be 94 and the rest at 95
Never used R2E board so not familiar with settings in bios so not sure what +1/+2 vs +2/+3 denote ?
I asked DFI about channel b resetting to 94 or 1 below others, and they said it's because it's last bit of 32bit range which they don't use and shouldn't matter as it's only 0.4% difference. Now no idea what that means :o
As to BSOD probably still need for cpu vtt/vdimm and IOH/ICH voltages to be balanced. Or we need to fine tune ADDR/CMD Bus VREF channels individually ?
Pulled this off with ADDR/CMD Bus VREF = 100/100/100 set in bios.
http://fileshosts.com/intel/DFI/DFI_...9m04s584ms.png
the for the RTL
in r2e u can set for channel A, B, and C.
ure setting shows channel A in cpu tweak
+indicated addition of channel A since channel A is the base rtl
in r2e norm for Channel B to be +1/+2 of Channel A,
Channel C to be +2/+3 of Channel B
higher mem multipliers and timings lower channel A, example 1600 CL8 is around channel A 60+, CL7 is 50+
2000mhz CL8 50ish but somewhere near 60
2000mhz Cl7 is 50+
this was what i found out with r2e.
but whatever i did still couldnt run the sticks at CL7 2000mhz on that board only CL8
something like that. the r2e ..usually instability is the same like dfi except when bsod the RTL changes.
I see... maybe your cpu's IMC coming into play for CAS7 vs CAS8 as well ???
what's max temp recommended for PWM and Chipset ?
found a flaw eva on this mobo
will call dfi tommorow
flaw
set two gc in sli
and one x1 pciex sound card..
second card running in 8x.
wish dfi was like asus .. to have a option to force 16,16,1
it only runs 16,16,1 if no card is inserted in pcie 3.
any insert will result in 8x on pcie 2
UT X58 PCI-E slot speed:
1 card in one or both green slots - Green slots operate at x16 speed and yellow slot is turned off.
Card in yellow slot - Top green slot operates at x16 speed while bottom green slot and yellow slot operate at x8 speed.
The above is how the board is designed and no other configuration is possible.
so what bios is everybody using now?
sounds like bios related then
PWM 60-95C ? Chipset 35-55C ? Just guessing... for me load temps for PWM between 45-65C and Chipset between 35-50C all stock heatsinks just with fans over them and Flame Freezer installed with ceramique paste.
about right http://i4memory.com/102537-post3.html
PCI-E Assignments
Received some clarification on the PCI-E slot assignments for multi-GPU configurations.
- PCI-E #1 and #4 are x16 when nothing is installed in PCI-E #3.
- When PCI-E #3 is occupied, then PCI-E #1, #3, #4 become x16/x8/x8. This applies to both CrossfireX and SLI.
http://nx.i4memory.com/reviewimages/...assignment.png
Example, with 2x HD4870x2 double slot video cards in PCI-E #1 + #4, you'd block off access to PCI-E #2 x4 slot and PCI #2 slot but still have access to PCI-E #3 (yellow x16 slot - photo below has Highpoint RR3520LF PCI-E raid controller installed) and PCI #1 which is empty below :)

2/27 beta for now.. can't wait for next DFI bios more mem related options to play with :D
What do you guys AHCI or IDE mode? What ahci drivers do use for proper installation?
Don't know if it's answered in a previous post but...How the heck can I set a non turbo multi over 24x? Can't find it anywhere and the turbo mode doesn't seem to work :( I need it for 3D :(
I hve now 3gb OCz platinium
but vista 32 shows only 2560mb physical memory
Should I try to change LOWGAP setting in order to show correct RAM buffer or leave it on a default value?
has anyone board fried yet or am I the first one ?
i use IDE, AHCI drivers come with SATA matrix intel raid drivers as well. For raid i use 3rd party hardware raid controllers so I can move arrays between different boards without worry :)
never used 965 cpu, but each brand board sometimes have early bios limitations on multipliers - seems DFI is 23x or 24x right now ?
set lowgap to whatever is needed for GPU/system to run. Whatever vista32 shows as available is what you have, with any decent 512MB-1GB GPU card you're looking at only 2-2.5GB available ram on 32bit system and even 64bit unless you move to 6GB ram then you're see between 4.5-5+ GB available.
Nope still going strong here :)
Something happened to yours ?
I have used RAID-mode on DFI's stock controller (Intel ICH10), for Vertex 30GB as W7 OS-disk, and all my tests confirms that it is performing much better than IDE-mode.
I could install W7 out of box (without loading disk drivers), but have installed Intel Matrix Storage Manager on W7 later.
I was wondering if you guys can help me with a problem. I have got from DFI the following early sample for testing :
http://images.bit-tech.net/content_i...eh8/mobo-l.jpg
I have some problems keeping it stable. Has anyone else got in contact with a layout like this? I am having a hard time finding the measurement points that exist on the retail board and here they are not in the same position.
I have already flashed to the latest BIOS but I have some problems with CPU VTT and DRAM BUS Voltage.
If I set any voltage to CPU VTT, it remains the same after reboot in PC Health, 1.1V.
Default, DRAM Voltage is in BIOS 1.56V but it shows in PC Health 1.64. If I set it 1.65, it shows in PC Health 1.74V. Any idea which voltage is real?
How could I find the measurement points?
woah that seems very old, honestly ask for a retail sample citing your current issues
very different from retail boards as seen in this photo here which has measuring points in bottom left corner between first motherboard standoff hole and SATA connector
http://nx.i4memory.com/reviewimages/...8_dmm_full.jpg
I have seen that photo in your review, thanks eva2000. The problem is I do not have those. I have removed the jumpers from the pins that are above the first yellow SATA port and it seems that nothing happens to the voltages. I really do not know for what those pins are.

Hi DFI lovers :D
I could not resist the DFI board and ditched my ASUS Rampage II Extreme. Iv'e been playing with it for 2 days now and i just can't get my OCZ 3x1GB 1600MHz 8-8-8-24 Gold XTC to run at it rated speed of 1600MHz. I tried bios 114 and now i'm on 217, still the same issue  Tried almost every setting i could think off, also these vv
Tomorrow i will test with 3GB 1600MHz 8-8-8-24 Dominators from a friend and see what gives
I don't know about OCZ 1600 Gold, but my OCZ 1333MHZ Platinum runs much more stable with loose tRAS. Somehow it doesn't like the rated tRAS, and i don't know if it is related to MB, CPU, or these sticks, but i could get much better results with loose tRAS. Try 1600MHZ 8-8-8-28 or 7-8-7-30.
Just tested with 3GB Dominators 1600MHz 8-8-8-24-1T from a friend and it worked just fine
Only thing worth mentioning,
This was stable,
Prime95 Blend  8x instances of memtest hci 1000%, o errors!
CPU 4000MHz - 200 bclk x 20 multi
DRAM 1600MHz 8-8-8-24-1T
This wasn't stable,
Prime95 Blend  8x instances of memtest hci , 1st error within seconds!
CPU 4020MHz - 201 blck x 20 multi
DRAM 1608MHz 8-8-8-24-1T
CPU is Prime95 Small FFTs stable @ 4020MHz BTW
Oh well this is a good reason to get some new RAM i guess :ROTF:
I don't have any problem with my OCZ platinums at 7-7-7-20-1T @1600 (rated speed except for tras, stock volts).
Waiting on my KL-350 block so I can start pushing this system. I'm also trying to decide on going with another set of RAM now or holding off for 4gb sticks later this year.
Eva, you are the reason I bought this DFI board. And that is for the second time! (the DFI X38LT before) It is priceless to have someone that investigates the boards issues in depth.
I tryed to achieve a nice 24/7 bulletproof OC (ok, IBT proof of you like) and encountered some serious shifts in understanding both i7 in general and this board.
For some people, who still didn't fully get it (like me earlier), it ALL (cpu clocking, memory clocking, ...) depends on the cpu and memory used. I just want this to be underlined.
I couldnt get it fully stable until I swapped the first module from one DC kit with another one. Modules from one kit have automatically "Four bank Active Window" at 17 while the ones from the other kit have 21. Those with 17 gave me stability.
The setup
dark-side i7 920 (remember it was 3841A)
DFI sexy X58 UT
CSX 3x1GB D9GTR (cooked from two DC kits)
Corsair HX1000
Sapphire HD4870 Toxic
OCZ Throttle SSD /w Win Server 2008
Load temps via Coretemp were 66/60/60/58
Vcpu measured with DMM was 1,224 idle and 1,208 load with Vdroop enabled.
This is my result and IMO decent for AIR cooling.
http://aerosupra.wz.cz/img/dfiX58_24_7_OC.jpg
I've posted my issue on the OCZ support forum and they think that it is the bios of the DFI LP UT X58-T3EH8 causing the issue. Because the ram worked fine on the Rampage II Extreme.
Already looking at other ram, thinking about getting these 3x2GB Mushkin Redline XP3-12800 6-7-6-18 but i can't find if they are compatible with the DFI board? I don't want to have the same issue's i have now otherwise i keep bying ram :ROTF:
Guys i need help , i have starting to play with my new board LP UT X58-T3EH8 on SS today , i got a question that might sound like a noobie , How do i change my multiplier to 29 or 31 on my i7 965 ? i got everything else more or less set up , but since im used to my Asus RIIE X58 Bios now my DFI OC its taking a while to get the hang of it back and get used to the different bios. Any help or guidance will be greatly appreciated. My unlocked multiplier its stuck at max 24 in Bios on my i7 965, How do i change it to 29 or 31 ? Am I missing something or its there a Bios bug ??? i am at lost and frustrated.
chispy.
hi does anybody here has issue with the usb power on the i/o
tested with sidewinder x6 which has brightness control
if i set max brightness for the backlight the keyboard will lag
tested with 2.5inch external drive
norm for both usb cable with the extra power to get transfer rates of 35mb's
but with dfi with the main usb and power both plugged in still same at 19-23mb/s.
stock oc no difference.
memtest hci stability is not good enough
trime prime95 set large and then set custom change to mem amount to total mem available in windows diagnostic mode.
example of memtest hci unreliability
2000mhz CL7 1n passes memtest hci at vtt 1.35v dram 1.63v 1000%
but for the prime95 64bit 25.9 setting above will fail.
as far i know this board can run any kind of ram.
just that u have to set the subtimings if theres any issue of instability etc
take note the ioh/ich ratio to ioh analogue also plays part
for my setting 201bclk x 21 dram at 2010 mhz CL7 2n HT off
if i was to set ioh/ich ratios to stock.. i can pass hyperpi 32m 4 threads but will fail hyperpi 32m 16 threads stress with rounding errors.
finding the right ratio is the key also for full stability.
My first post here, too bad it's about a error.
I have:
DFI Jr X58-T3H6
i7 920
Kingston KVR1333D3N9K3/6G (valueram 1333 3x2Gb)
Evga Nvidia 285
WD 150GB velociraptor
Samsung 2x F1 1TB
Samsung dvd-burner
Zalman 850watt
Logitech Ilimunated keyboard
Razor Deathadder
When I boot, I get error 94 on the diagnostic leds. After a few restarts the systeem boots normal and I can just use it all day.

Memtest: 3x pass
WD hdd tool: pass
Samsung hdd tool: pass
OCCT 60mins PSU test: pass
I can't really understand where the problem comes from (it wasn't there when I build the system 2 months ago). Anyone seen the problem or a good idea where the fault is?
Going to try to update the bios next, but i don't think that will solve the problem. But I can always try.
I'm not a pro, more the noobish type. :D
Can you guys explain a fellow user how to get the RAM running at its rated speed of 1600 mhz on this board? :)
Memory Frequency is BCLK * Ram Multiplier = Memory Frequency. Uncore = 2x BCLK.
Anyone cares to help a fellow user ??? im at lost and i need help , its not the first time for me with DFI Boards but this is getting on my last nerve. Im so frustrated it still multi 24 max selectable with my i7 965 even i downgraded bios. Perhaps its me not the bios. Eventhought its not my first DFI Board i feel like a noobie again lol , can you guys show me or direct me exactly where you change the multi on your board ? i will take a pic and i will post back for you to see if its me setting something wrong in the bios :/. If this does not work i am going back to Asus RIIE asap and selling this board asap. help please im going nuts trying to figure this out. Please help , any help or guidance will be greatly appreciated , thanks in advanced.
chispy.
Im on MSN Messenger right now with a couple of friends and they all have this problem trying to change to a high multi its impposible :(
Time to sell the board ;). Out of here.
chispy.
Hi Chispy,
No multi over 24 as of now but that might change with upcoming BIOS's. Still on a SS you should do 200 * 24 and even more if you dare volt it, so what is the problem? Can recommend both BIOS 0227 and 0318, especially the latter if memory is of importance for you. My first DFI board and I’m loving it; Clocks very good, rock stable and no hanky panky...
Hiya rob , long time i have not post here , thanks for the reply , i really appreciate your help. Look at this benchies from hwbot from a month ago and todays bench , voila 29 and 31 multiplier  , but how do i make my 965 run over 24 ?? , i guess theres a beta or moded Bios floating around most likely  , or theres a hidden option lol, i have a case open with DFI about this subject and have escalated to the engineers , so i will let you know the outcome ok.
Look here bro :)

decided to let you guys know about dfi's "excellent warranty" I've got this letter today from dfi :"Dear Customer;
sorry to tell you that your mother board suffered physical damage. Please refer to the attached image. It is caused by a short circuit or overheat near the PWM area.
This kind of damage is not covered by our standard RMA warranty service. The mother board will be returned to you AS IS. I’m sorry about this matter."
This is the image they've sent me
http://img524.imageshack.us/img524/6899/55329775.jpg
I won't ever buy dfi just because of that rather buy evga that has a real warranty.
Evga won't cover physical damage either, so your only hope is that they have different standards for determining physical damage.
what is the latest BIOS (beta bios) for UT X58? where Can I get it?
chispy, glad you got it sorted out
rusty, sorry to hear about your experience :( but i think all manufacturers won't cover physical damage though
raptord, latest official /beta is 2/27 bios. Latest pre-public beta is 3/18 at http://i4memory.com/f80/i7-920-d0-df...17/#post110970
try a different keyboard/mouse if they're USB type. cstkl1 reported on his DFI UT X58 some strange issues when using a particular USB keyboard
Also guys, new discoveries - well for me thanks to cstkl1, play with tRRD subtiming http://i4memory.com/f80/dfi-ut-x58-t...cussion-16970/ ;)
I have read on the DFI forum that removing the heatpipe system is a bad idea. I would like to either:
1.Remove the entire heatpipe and put waterblocks on nb and pwm and a heatsink on sb
2. Just remove the nb cooler and put a waterblock on it instead
Has anyone removed the heatpipe system, without breaking the board?
Watercooling the cpu was easy but removing the heatpipe system might be a totally different thing and don't wanna break my board.
@Woffen - I am about to do the same ^^^
I removed a similar HP on my 790FXB AMD board and replaced it no problem but I also read that on X58 forum - maybe they didn't tighten it properly (I always tighten it as hard as possible) ?
What NB block are you going to use (I am still undecided but favouring EK S-MAX as I use 1/2" and have EK Supreme LT already) ?
I'm also leaning towards a EK S-Max. If I would go for the PWM as well I would go for the MIPS blocks.
I would like to skip the need for a fan on there. I've read that the possible waterblock on the NB in itself helps reduce the PWM temp as well but some say not enough. Guess I will just have to try and find out. Keep putting this off as I can't decide what to do:rolleyes:
I would in anycase like to replace the goop under the NB with MX-2 but leave the PWM heatads intact .................
PS - I think the HP principle is that if NB is cooler than PWM it draws heat down to NB block .........
The issue with the heatpipe assembly is proper installation once removed. If correct contact isn't made there is only a matter of seconds to pull the plug once the board is powered up. If a slave chip shorts out or overheats because of heatsink installation it will almost certainly damage the board beyond repair.
As Eva has already posted and his screenshots show, there really is no need to remove the heatpipe assembly considering the risks.
Yeah risky business playing with the heatpipe system hehe. I just moved to water cooling on cpu side only keeping stock heatpipe system intact but with 120x25mm 81cfm fan over NB and PWM areas http://i4memory.com/f22/ek-supreme-l...8-t3eh8-17002/ :)
My first board smoked a mosfet, one of the ones up near the 24 pin. I gave them a CC# to do a cross ship and they sent me back a very poor used board with bent and broken socket pins. Now I've been waiting a month since they took delivery of the return of that board for the replacement.
chispy, you just set the desired multiplier via the turbo menu :)
Works perfectly fine for me, only thing that doesn't work is setting different mults for different turbo modes (like higher mult for 1x turbo)
http://database.he-computer.de/Bilde...hes/975_1M.jpg
Yeah chispy figured it out http://i4memory.com/f80/dfi-lp-ut-x5...7-965-a-16905/ :)

Very nice mate, 4.3 is looking good for the Lanparty competition :)
guys what about new beta BIOS?
Im still on 17/02 issue. is it worth to update or wait for final version?
nice eva. Now strap 4 Kaze Ultra 2000rpm puppies to that beast rad and watch the magic of massive static pressure lol.
2/27 is latest public beta and 3/18 is latest pre-public beta which adds round trip latency and TREF sub timing options :)
I didn't notice much diff between 2/17 vs 2/27 but 2/27 was slightly better for my 6GB Corsair 2000 GT 7-8-7-20 modules.
thanks.. but what lanparty competition ?
haha now that would be nice to see but for now 4x120x25mm spire 75cfm fans will have to do

hey eva, you keep on doing good things with the 920.
I was hoping you'd pop your head in on the thread http://www.xtremesystems.org/forums/...=211579&page=9
You know this board really well and I was hoping you can give me some help.
My two 4870X2's wont post at all and I get error 26. I've tried both clearing cmos and cold cmos (battery), changing slots etc etc.The only way the system will boot is with my spare 4870 (not watercooled). I think it might be the bios, I'm still using the boxed version as I only finished the build a week ago. Tried to update the bios with a usb boot, but no go. It refuses to boot from the usb, even though is set up properly in bios to boot from usb.
I've pulled this loop apart 4 times already and I'm out of ideas with this DFI.
Any suggestions? have you come across this problem before?
Oh and I've also tried increasing mem lowgap +2560, but nothing.
Cheers mate.
Do you have the two floppy drive power connectors plugged into the motherboard, all four PCI-E power cables on rails that can hande the load and have you confirmed that the cards work in another system? If you have all of the connectors plugged in correctly one or both of those cards migh be dead.
no floppy on this build. are you talking about the four pin power connectors next to 1 and 4 pci slots? all power cables are connected right from the psu (ultra 1600W). cant connect them to another system just yet, as my other rig is air and my main work rig and also in the process of a rebuild.
Never experienced such myself. Which PCI-E x16 slots you using ? for CF it's 1st and very last PCI-E x16 slots so double slot spacing in between

I'd first get the bios update sorted out before 4870x2 CF. As to bios update you could be suffering the slow/freeze like bios update when some boards the user loaded a pre-saved older bios cmos profile over a newer system bios. Tips #4, #5 and #6 http://i4memory.com/102537-post3.html address the bios issue if your's is similar. Full details http://i4memory.com/f80/dfi-ut-x58-t...eleased-13876/ and solution http://csd.dficlub.org/forum/showpos...&postcount=158 (just no need to reload ABS profile if you never installed ABS software). That should take care of the bios updating.

Hi ! I have problem with entering BIOS by DEL key on my PS/2 Keybord.
Sometimes I simply can't enter BIOS when I press DEL key, then black screen appears with blinking --> _ and nothing happens. What's going on ?? :(
/I have i920 D0 (not OC yet)
/Gskill F3-12800CL8T-6GBPI-B 3x2gb
Eva, you might want to think about getting one of those W3520 gems - how's 4,5Ghz primestable on water sound ;)
is that at stock speed only or happens when you overclock ? if you overclock too far that can happen i.e. push bclk or memory too far without tweaking ich/ioh and ioh analogue voltages. Also cstkl1 reported some USB keyboards had issues not sure on PS/2. I have no probs using Logitech Elite PS/2 keyboard and Logitech Trackman wheel PS/2 mouse on Aten KVM switch.
yeah D0 is tempting but holding out longer to see how the memory controllers fair on D0 - my focus is more on memory than actual cpu speed :)
Amazing what a water cooling http://i4memory.com/f22/ek-supreme-l...8-t3eh8-17002/ can do for max stable bclk too. On air 228 bclk was max for 32M pi and that needed some work, but on H20 straight boot from bios 32M done at 229blck with ease! 230bclk needs a bit of tweaking as 32M hangs around 15-19th loop for now :)

@Eva
No I haven't overclocked yet ...
one more question, I have downloaded beta 3/18 bios, and during attempting to flash (from USB stick) I get msg : ''The version of BIOS was inaccurate''
''Please remove the floppy , download the right one and re-flash''
What's going on ?? Currently I am running 2/27 ver.
you using DK X58 or UT X58 board ? bios is for UT X58
As to your problem what are your full hardware specs ? any sound card or other pci devices ? Bios settings used ? you can use template at http://i4memory.com/f80/dfi-lp-ut-x5...emplate-12919/ to post your settings.

Ad1.
Well... I have DFI UT X58
Ad2. Yes, I have sound card Asus Xonar DX in PCIE3 slot (yellow, the second one) and GTX280 i PCIE4 (green, the last one)
In addition: One Cd-rom , 2x36GB WD Raptor in Raid0 and 1xCaviar Black 1TB
Suggestions ?? I have already tried without Disk drives , and the same problem occures.
remove the sound card and put gtx280 in first pci-e x16 slot closest to cpu socket and try
and/or also try raising ioh/ich and/or ioh analogue volts a tad for raid0 - something cstkl1 reported at http://i4memory.com/f80/i7-920-d0-df...ability-16617/
@Eve
I raised voltages on: IOH/ICH 1.1 Volt from def. 1.11 to 1.15v
and
IOH Analog Volt , from 1.10 to 1.15v .
And still having the problem... I have to keep pressing DEL all the time during reboot to enter the bios (and even this method doesn't work every time) or completely turn off computer, unplug power cord then plug itagain and try to enter bios again... NO IDEA what's going on....
--------------------
Finally I succeded in flashing to 3/18 bios. Firstly I had to downgrade my 2/27 do earlier and then flash to 3/18
Is it better running vdroop enabled or disabled for every day use?
1. Does your FLAME FREEZER heatpipe attached to I/O connector area ''moves'' ?? I screwed it pretty hard but it still 'moves' U have the same ?
3. How can I get 22x multiplier on my i920 ? (I saw some screens by eva2000) Now I am only able to get x21 at BCLK 190 and Eist function Enabled
tried a different keyboard/mouse combination ?
24/7 i use with vdroop enabled so to adhere to intel's specs of droopage
yeah it moves a bit, alot less once i used some ceramique thermal paste on the area that attaches to the I/O on board. 22x = disable 3 cores in cpu features or enable s3 mode s63 IIRC (not sure on later as haven't played with 22x since finding out 22x has lower max bclk headroom than say 19x, 20x, or 21x i.e. 21x can hit 229bclk but with 22x max around 205-209bclk.
Gettin to 221 bclk is a breeze and that is where I am now. I can get there at really low volts too. Gettin past it is a different story. I am goin to have to buckle down and do a lil research as well trial and error to get past it. I read some where that when you start to get in excess of 221 bclk the pcie clock comes into play. I might need to wait until my pot mount comes in too as I read some cpus just can't hit that high of bclk without cooler temps as I am floating in the upper 40's to lower 90's at these speeds. Anyone have any tips on gettin past 221?
Secret to higher bclk on DFI UT X58 http://i4memory.com/showthread.php?t=13569 :D
higher pci-e frequency upto 110mhz helped with stability in 32M pi but to get the higher bclk it's in ich/ioh and ioh analag voltages and cpu vtt/vdimm.
Of course a good cpu helps as does better cooling - hence you see all sub zero folks with much higher bclk
What do u mean exactly ??
I OCed a little bit : (as you can know from another site) And problem with entering Bios still happens .

One more question, during Prime/Linx, Core speed differ between CoreTemp/Real Temp where multiplier was changing between 20x 21x , and CPU-z where it was most the time at the same level (4120MHz) U can notice this on above screen , compare Realtemp (4070MHZ ) and Cpu-z (4141MHz) . Is it normal ?? Which is more believable ?
