sorry fatguy, but where can i find on ET6 or everest?
ET6 is easy tune 6 it comes with the mobo and just google "download everest" and download a trail of the latest version.
Heres my template for a Q6600 on a UD3P.

i have an e8600 well capable of excess of 5.9ghz....
what bios is best for 24/7 and which is best for high fsb?? i havent checked out all the bios, and was wondering id one was better as i am presently on F5
hmm well for now i will leave it off to see what happens cause right now i have 1.55v in bios in windows it shows 1.50v under load it goes to 1.440v-1.45v so if this is stable then im fine, on my ip35 pro it took 1.45v for 3.6 so i hope this is fine :) i do like the board though over my abit :D i also put mch to 1.3v figured i might since im using 4 sticks of ram which is 8gb
but i think i need to ditch my ocz psu and grab a single rail corsair, just need to wait for money ocz is about 3 years old =]
Try LLC disabled and adjust vcore a bit if necessary.
Maybe set these yourself, instead of auto:
MCH/DRAM Ref...........................: [0.96] <===
ICH I/O................................: [1.500] <===
ICH Core...............................: [1.100] <===
You could try tweaking memory a bit with performance enhance Turbo and 266/333 memory straps, but it's not that important and you can leave it as it is if you want.
If you want to push it to its limits, look at Jor3lBR's template and go from there.
got a question,in prime95,if core 4 fails after one minute of blend what is the most likely cause?is it more vcore?or would it be mch? or something else? thanks
So you recommend taking them off auto and locking them to std values? I am at work so if those are higher a little I am sorry.
You mean these settings?
http://www.xtremesystems.org/forums/...postcount=1308
It being a 9650 wont make to much difference as mines a 9550 right?
in prime95 which fft size is cpu related and which is memory and NB related? thanks
Yes.
Those are the settings people have success with, but yours is 9550 an C1, so it maybe can't go as high.Quote:

so when first start prime95 using blend mode,the first set of test are small fft's?and if it fails right away,i need to up the vcore right? sorry for these stupid questions .thanks
Nope when you start blend it tests the rams and co first ( 1024K) when it passes there it goes to small and so on... first test the cpu with small ( as it can lead to fail the large test too ) and if the cpu is stable move on...
and mate there are no stupid questions, just stupid answers (and I'm the king of those lol)
thanks lee,that helps out alot.
Linpack is probably better for quick CPU testing. If it passes Linpack, go for Prime/OCCT blend/mix.
Currently using Arctic Ceramique with my ZeroTherm Zen120 right now. I just got a Scythe SFF21G fan to replace ZeroTherm stock fan and some Arctic Silver 5. Anyone think it will make a difference? Also, any tips for applying/using the AS5 paste? Thanks!
Keeping my post to help understand my problem.
Didn`t work. I tried change one by one and when i changed DRAM termination i coundn`t boot... But i got better results than my first attemps, before i even ran 1 min on ORTHOS and now i run 7 min and got BSOD... So, there is something wrong yet
Memtest passed 5 loops and no errors with updated settings (view settings above) Rised MCH core, and PL and loose some mem timings but ORTHOS Blend dosent work...
And now what can i try?
@ Bluestang RE Artic 5 paste.
Check out the website for good instructions on how to apply
I clean both cpu and heatsink with Isopropyl 1st
Then apply some to the heat sink, spread it and wipe it off with a lint free cloth
Then apply a very small amount to heat sink and spread it using the edge of a clean credit card or similar so even amount over top of cpu
Then fit heat sink!
If its a new cpu/heatsink combo I always remove the heatsink after fitting to check contact over entire cpu surface. If not then its time to lap something!!
If good, refit. You wont need to apply anymore paste, but I always clean and start from scratch.
Your ram and the board are definitely capable of 533 1:1. You can try it, but there won't be noticable performance difference compared to your current settings, especially if you tweak your memory timings a bit.
xbiusx:
Lower DRAM termination and refferences (incl. MCH dram ref) to 1.000. Change CPU Thermal Monitor to Enabled. Have you tried all of the MCH ref.? If so (incl. those two steps up), try even lower settings. Then try to lower your memory divider so it works around 800 MHz and see if it's stable then.
Right, tried changing to these settings, wont boot into windows. It does the green bar then BSOD.
But the strange thing is I set it to the last clock that worked and all settings as post on pg 72 and it will not load windows, BSOD just after green bar.
Anyone any ideas?
