Who else is seeing MDPC material here?
OMG!
I totally forgot about this, till I saw it on the first page today... went back re-read the entire thing... (ok, almost all of it)...
I'm in a relatively same boat,5am except I have FOUR kids, age 7, 5, 3, 2. And, I'm the one who stays home with them. Whenever I go into my office/workspace/store room/ get away from the family room, the baby (the two year old) go in and starts pushing every button he can reach, and some he can't....
I'm stuck trying to finish two computers with what little time I have at night, since I wake up at 5am.
I remember seeing this build awhile back, and I have to admit it inspired me to do more. Yesterday I took my first attempt at soldering 3 fans together for one fan header, and turned out pretty good. But, it was the only thing I had time to do. I plan on sleeving my PSU some night.
Anywho... It looks great. Your wife reaction is 'bout the same as mine... "yeah, so" hehe
darn nice work. Thanks for all the pics. I now feel like I can tackle a few things I would have never tired before....

Nice pics dude =p. It was so worth the effort right? I say yuppers.
I agree! EXTREMELY nice build.Quote:
I say yuppers.
Thats bad, very nice!
Wow, I'm honored to be even mentioned like that, never in my wildest dreams would I have thought so (ok, maybe my wildest) :)
@everyone else -- A Big Thanks! Wonderful comments and much appreciated, I had hit a real low in this case. For a long time I kept encountering problem after problem and solutions were a long time coming. Plus it felt like I had lost interest in the project log it was hard to be positive and post updates when there really weren't many.
There are a slew of mods that I did that aren't documented in the log and the some of the best praise must be they go unnoticed. Which was my aim, for nothing to appear 'modded'.
I must point out one thing though, and I thought about posting a video about it , but the switch for the DVD player is the same Bulgin Black switch (with white LED) that you see on the front of the case. The DVD switch is located next to the pump, and when I showed my wife she again wasn't so thrilled 'I have to stick my finger under the case now to open the dvd?? was what she said. But she thought the LED blinking as Data was read was a nice touch :D
Nice work LogAn'sRun! Very nice cable management throughout the system. You really finished it off nicely.
rly nice
btw check pw plz ;)
wow!
really awesome job - i love the white lighting - very classy!
great job!
that lian-li is very beuty.
I love that raptor on the front :)
Continue the good job ;)
I lost some pics and comments in this thread, does anyone know what happened? Was it because of the SSD changeover and data move?
/sadface
I'am sorry to read that you have lost some of this worklog champ.
However, Exellent work there mate. I have been reading your worklog from start to finish and even found myself waking up my wife when I started to laugh out loud about the chrome bolts, dam I know how you feel, I have been there before myself.
Love your sence of humour and your quick witt.
As a father of two, I think you have the right stuff to make an exellent dad, best of luck mate from way down under in OZ.
Funny that kgtiger should bring this work log up today - I was just reviewing it yesterday, trying to see how to put the radiators internal in this case. Again, nice job on this build!
Hey this is a great bump, I'm just in the process of collating ideas for my V1000 :) I like the way the 120.1 fits in the front, but I was thinking of mounting a 120.2 along the bottom...
wow, thanks for the bump guys and gal!
I changed out my tubes for some white ones about a month ago, but have been too lazy (with all the good weather here) to take some updated pics, but I'll do that this weekend!
just saw this ...
A wonderful outcome I must say. Nice ideas, nice touch on some details, nice craftsmanship but together it's more than nice. Could take a final overall shot?
Congrats on a piece you should be very proud of :toast:
it was a fuzion v1 adn I never could get anything on there, even with the 45's.
As far as tidyness goes, ya well, the space behind the mobo is absolutely minimal and as said, it was my very first water build and I did the best I could. You reach that breaking point of patience and as the build was approaching 1 year already, I couldn't spend anymore time than I had, especially since I made the mistake of buying all parts at the beginning (so that by the end they were outdated). There is a whole mess of wire management that I went into that isn't detailed in the log like that I re-wired every cable from the PSU so that they were the exact lengths needed and even so there was still the lack of space to hide stuff. I even bolted a bunch of cables into the midplate of which you can see the domeheads next to the res in some of the pictures.
oh well, I learned a lot from this build and I'm hoping to start a new one Q1 2010. We'll just see which direction I go and what the case becomes now as I originally planned on a G5 mod(and have two G5 cases waiting at home) but teh more I look at that case and this v1000, I think I want to go bigger so I have more room to play with. Staying small is hard!
I appreciate that there's still interest in this mod! Thanks for the comments.
LogAn'sRun, I really like that mirco mirco res you made. :) And the rest too, ofcourse.
EDIT: Sorry about bumping an old thread back up. This should have been a reply to this thread: http://www.xtremesystems.org/forums/...2&postcount=82
