ah my bad. yes that makes sense as I've just looked at my 260 and 4890 runs on my old E8400 and the 4890 has a much higher GPU score but the 260 has a better overall P-score due to the massive cpu score :/ ghey

futuremark is blocking physix enabled cpu scores, i think you can upload it but it doesnt show up in the orb when you search for results, or it doesnt show up in the rankings...

indeed i've notest the same...

i play better DIRT2 with GTX280 than 5970 isn't that something weird?

it must be fake then, fermi is going to be twice as fast as their fastest current card... :D

hmmm dont remember that one... but im sure ati did the same... im not saying its just nvidia, its pr in general... its usually the most funny when they try to convince normal non technical and uninformed customers about the features of their latest products. companies will come up with the wildest claims :D

i remember intel making a weird remark at idf about nehalem, saying it will cure cancer, reduce the costs of gas and oil and help us explore space... cause thats what scientists use cpus for... still, its a pretty far stretch to claim a small chunk of molten sand will cure cancer and reduce our gasoline bill etc :lol:

metro 2033 benchmarks at xbitlabs... 5870 performs the same or better as a 295... weird... i thought this was an nvidia optimized game? :confused:

Not a shock to me.

Afterall, I was calling it (another) $600+ launch since Sept (cause of extreme costs and precendent and all).

And kindly rebuking those "its gonna launch in Nov for $299-$399" crazies.

Fermi threads have been so crazy, I don't think anything can be shocking - not even the unicorn included with every EVGA GTX480 :)

Just ordered a pair of 5870 Vapor-X and I'll sit and watch to decide whether to RMA them or not :) Can't waste more ages for my new rig.
