Yeah, looks it. 4 heatpipes, huh? Reminds me of GTX295 for some reason.

I have always said: If ATi can beat/match GF100 with an existing or new/refresh GPU, then we are looking at the top dog for $499 era, otherwise a superior GF100 won't come cheap, just as the HD5970 didn't come cheap.

guys at Donanimhaber pointed out that this shot was rumored to be a "GTX 390" some time ago. whatever it is nvidia isn't gonna put FOUR fermi chips on one card that's for sure :D

dont be disappointed, from what I've been hearing, GTX 400's will indeed feature reference coolers with heat pipes.

Hey that's 4 GPU. I don't think it is a GF100, probably some re-branded old junk, but 4 GPU is really interesting concept, and freshes up the old-junk :p:

If I could I would. However, there are a ton of hints in that link I posted. I can't say any more beyond that other than to comment on what lower-end products MAY look like.

Ummmm..... all Nvidia GT200 series cards already feature heatpipes within their heatsinks.

Yup, the design has air vent right on the PCB. dont know how good it will work but it might help in reducing the turbulence and noise. They wouldnt have done it if there was no logical reason to do so.

nah , it doesn't make sense at all for me , fan has to blow most of the air over the heatsink , the way it is made most of the air will flow from the back of the PCB without ...

if that is the intake then the exhaust from the other side "top" , and both ways doesn't make any sense and wont circulate enough over the heatsink ..

Actually if you look at the top picture the top of the fan seems rather closed.

Its not conventional fan. Its good old centrifugal fan design just like we have seen on other GPUs in modern history. These fans dont direct air downwards. It throws air away from blades around circumference.
Any air that moves down just creates turbulence. So this gap allows air intake from both sides as well as helps in reduction of turbulence.

And about second pic, its just bad cam and shaky hands ;)
