Well couple issues i have with his testing. Lack of stabilty tests used...

Prime x370 pro i have tested with 4 chips 2933 is max stable in prime 95 80-90% ram allocated custom blend test. 4 sets of memory tested...20 min tops...= fail...rounding errors..even with stock cpu speeds..

The same memory running 3200 14-14-14 with 32gb....or 16gb configs fine on taichi and ch6 pass stability testing.

All can "run" @ 3200 in benhmarks...

Lack of SOC and vdimm mentioned...

I have yet to determine the why....the board is a thorn in my side...great board other than that issue...prime b350 plus...same issue...interestingly the pwm for memory is almost identical minus one fet....coincidence?

gaming 5 was stable @ 3200

Swapping a CPU while having the exact same MB and RAM with diff results kind of tells me either the BIOS is messed up or something else we dont know. Its beyond logical at this point. But with BIOSes making a day and night diff from one day to the other, what can you do.

btw I cannot find Trident Z DDR4-3400 CL16 where I live, so not an option for me right now, unless I get it shipped directly from the US

I got like really lucky with my set. Newegg wanted like $300 + microcenter does not list it in stock....but they have them...this 32g set was open box on cleareance for $188....cheaper than i can order pc 3600 15-15-15 2x8g...

Since am getting a 1700 (rather than 1700x or 1800x), memory would be the most expensive component right now for me. And since it has proven to offer significant gains over 2400, I think its worth the premium... if it works that is....

Chew: btw, and since I dont have a Ryzen yet to test, is the XFR active one a single core (like most reviews state) or is it really working on all cores?

For others:
I really like the 1700, I mean we guarantee a clock of 3.7Ghz based on the fact that it boosts up to these levels. I think most of the disappointments so far are with the 1800x as far as OCing, especially that it hits a barrier around 4.0 to 4.1.

To me, the 1700x and 1800x are actually not for OCers, but for those who want a plug it and play without any tweaks, and the XFR just points to that direction.

That said, I rather have a 1700 at 3.7 or 3.9 Ghz on all cores 24/7 than some XFR kicking in here and there for a short while. The price diff is not minor. Put that diff in memory clocked at 3200-3600 with CL 14 and we should gain more performance than a 1800x out of the box running at a lower RAM (below 3000).

Being grass roots and enthusiast its exactly why i reviewed the 1700 chip. Im not a review site or paid and AMD is very easy going with me...they basically let me be the judge and do as i wish. Unlike them i have my eyes and ears closer tuned to the community as well...i see a want for 32gig of ram i look into it.

Anyway i was unimpressed with 1800x even though max frequency is higher stock or oced than my 1700.

My 1700x is preety much a dud (3.8stable).

I am most impressed by chips that gain the most total...3.0 to 3.9 is nice....3.6 to 4.0 ehhh not exciting.

Anyway xfr bounces core to core as does turbo. Only time it will stick is say a single threaded app. It will latch on to that one core and run 4.1 on 1800x providing chip is kept cool.

Preety much 1800x imo is for ln2 top results or stock users. Plop it in set memory speed and enjoy.

1700 at 3.9 all core oc will kick a stock 1800x azz in cinebench just because of the way dynamic tdp controlled turbo works..

I need some advice oc memory higher than 3200 using Asrock. I have Asrock fatality pro gaming. Almost same as Taichi.

I can do 3200 cl 14-13-13-13 easy with both my kits. Corsair 4000 2xgb and g.skill 3600 cl15 2x8gb.

I always thought of the 1800x reaching 3.9 from 3.6 is kind of similar to having a 1700 boosted to 3.9. My theory could be absolutely wrong though. But since we can almost guarantee to have 95% of every 1700 to reach 3.8Ghz stable, and at the price diff of the 1800x, the 1700 wins in every way!

I can grab a 1700 right away, but going to wait until we figure out the 32GB story to grab the MB, in case either the CH6 or Taichi will get us there easier than the other.

Without refclock currently impossible on anything asrock except taichi or fatality.....and not k4 fatality...

1.94a bios should be easy though providing your not using an m2 ssd.

Excuse my ignorance but just need to clarify for my own sake.

Is what you are saying here is actual real voltage is 1.39-1.4v yet software is saying 1.5v....is that correct? And if that is the case then could it be assumed all boards are probably in the same boat to varing degrees = they are all reading higher than what the volts actually are?

Likewise some could be reporting lower than actual.

Lvl 1 llc and 1.40 = real load

Huh. On my Taichi, 1.35v vcore + Level 1 LLC = 1.40v load voltage.

Level 3 LLC on my board keeps it stable @ 1.35v

Measured at socket....? Need to swap backplate from another board to even do this with a DMM..

I have ordered a 1600X with GSkill F4-3466C16D-32GTZ Trident Z RAM (2x16 3466).
Once the ASRock Fatal1ty X370 Pro Gaming comes back in stock (hopefully in next 2-3 days) I will order it. So in about 1-1.5 week or so I can give you guys an update on this RAM.
Also I bought the Corsair Vengence airflow (RAM cooling kit) and I have a Cryorig A80 to keep the mobo circuits cool so might be able to achieve nice OC too.

Note also that the RAM I ordered last week was the fastest 2x16 kit on newegg (crazy to think I paid that much lol), but now they have a 3600 kit (F4-3600C17D-32GTZKW) for $435 for those of you with too much money. They might even get a few more faster kits in stock before the month is over with.

Taichi has some weird covered/vented backplate. Stole one off my dead gaming 5 and swapped it to confirm that board.

The msi titanium guys on oc.net refuse to test socket voltage....but are claiming 1.3v stable 4 gig...be nice if someone showed us what the boards really sending to chip...

So that means you are reading from the dmm and adjusting the vcore, SOC manually based on the readings you get from the dmm (physically)... kind of a PITA, but u get the best results. Are you entering the SOC and LLC based on "levels" on the MB, or completely manually as 1.xx volts?

Not sure if I would be able to measure SOC or vcore with the watercooling backplate from EK that I will be using. Have to wait and see.

Im basically tuning settings in bios to match dmm that way i know if i want 1.00 soc im getting what i request.

Same for vcore.

Both the prime pro and ch6 are almost identical pwm. Likewise both require identical settings.

If you measure pad that is provided on ch6....1.40 socket = 1.45 pad...so even that is off quite a bit...

Socket is all that matters. AMD said 1.40v...im quite sure that is an actual measured voltage by there engineers and not some idiot relying on software in there lab :)

I will do testing of my own before I throw in the waterblock backplate, but did you try ANY board that reports vcore / SOC correctly...

THANKS for the video. So Key point here is to input settings in 3 or 4 diff stages and reboot on each stage. I noticed similar behavior on my ROG Maximus VII hero, it does not like too many settings at once, never figured why.

Now to the questions: Why did you set the CPU LLC to Level 5 and not Level 4, 3, or 2...

Do you think disabling Q-fan has anything to do with anything else, or its just your personal pref?

I like the fact SOC voltage is low, most people think more is better with vcore, SOC and LLC, but I like to keep things within very reasonable settings to my PC lasts 3-4 years.

For the PLL and SB bridge voltages, I see you set them manually, but it seems to be set based on idle (without load) voltages. Am assuming you are preventing them to shoot up when under load..?

Lastly, I have a very good feeling to get the 16x2 GB working at 3200 and 14 timings. Did you try the following on the CH6:

Install 1x16gb, boot as normal, restart, set DRAM voltage --> reboot, set DRAM timing --> reboot.. we know that 1x16gb works, but maybe it does not like having all 32GB at once, so follow by:

Install second set of 1x16gb --> reboot, set DRAM voltage --> reboot, set DRAM timings --> reboot... Will it work....???

I have exhausted every option except newer bios which i do not want to use...i know its slower backflashing is a pain and some microcode is not leaving...im seeing this on taichi right now...annoying..

My llc is set the way its set so when i set 1.40 bios i see 1.40 socket with dmm. Same with soc...

I set manual voltages to ensure board is not playing dirty tricks...Auto at mercy of bios..

Fan is ocing...= run cooler

We are at the mercy of newer BIOS at this point on the CH6.. or some other weird setting.

Around the 21 minute mark he talks about the LLC on this board and his finding are way off in comparison to what you are finding but he is taking his DM measurements from a completely different place so that probably accounts for the difference.....what do you reckon about his findings please????

It's always best to measure closest to the core (CPU or GPU) and in this case it is on the back of the socket, where chew* is measuring.

Build zoid can measure where he wants that is his choice.

I was advised by many ( stilt, raja, tin just to name a few ) with a electrical engineering background to only measure at socket so that's where I measure.....

I just did a video and measured both. I also debunked any comments as to the accuracy of my DMM.....

So CH6 can do 4x8gb @3200/CL14 (through the 3200@CL14 kit) where ASRock can do 2x16GB (3200@CL14 through the 3400@CL15 kit)... We are almost through the 32GB battle.

Which of the two boards would you buy/keep for yourself at this point after messing with them for a while?

For what it's worth regarding CPUz voltage readings... I haven't the ability to check my setup with a DMM at the socket like you, and the Titanium's test points are all the way below the friggen Chipset, so I can't imagine THEY are very accurate (I haven't even bothered checking them). Nevertheless, just based on what HWiNFO is showing, it looks like CPUz is going off of the Motherboard's VCore.
Running stock (well, 102BClk) and have AIDA64's Cache stress test running since that seems to be the most stressful.
HWiNFO
MB VCore = ~1.248V (1.240 to 1.256V)
CPU CoreVID = 1.150V
CPU VDDCR_CPU = 1.219V (1.212 to 1.225V)

CPUz
Core Voltage = 1.248V (1.240 to 1.256V)

The reading update at different rates but that's just due to each ones refresh being different.
Feels like VDDCR_CPU is the one to go by though, as my MOSFET reading (in HWiNFO) keeps pace with the CPU's reading for Voltage. They're generally within a few thousands of each other's readings. Same for the VDDRCR_SOC and it's MOSFET which both show a pretty solid, unmoving 0.963V, whereas Mobo's is reading 0.976V

Meh I'm curious now, so I'll see what the board's test pins read...
And... to start with. The voltage differential between that GND pin and where I felt comfortable taking the reading from is +0.004V. Meaning they coincide exactly with HWiNFO's readings. CPU reads 1.252V(+0.004V higher) and CPU-NB reads 0.980V (+0.004V).
Oddly, the board has a test pin for CPU_VDDP and yet, the pin reads 0.005V. Which either means, it was only reading 0.001V or margin of error and reads nothing. I'd have to do a continuity test to know if it really isn't doing a thing.

I CAN say that the latest BIOS (official 1.40) didn't re-correct for the +20 temp offset, as tCTL still reads high compared to tDIE. Which made me feel better since I could not for a moment feel that things were actually running at 70C under water.

Also, notes in regards to 1.40 BIOS...
The 1.0.0.4 DDR Blues are not just ASRock related, it's indeed something to do with the AGESA. As soon as I flashed it, I'm also no longer able to run 3200 on my Titanium. >_>
The hidden BCLK on the board only goes up to 103 lol I modded it into view. 103 even isn't stabled, for that matter, but 102 is fine though. I suspect it's just at the ragged edge of it's :banana::banana::banana::banana:ty built in capability is all, since it results in the storage controller flaking out. (Must access Ryzen's internal BCLK)
I have not tried flashing back yet to see if the Titanium has the same issues. The AFUWIN flash will let you write over everything if you want, so either that, or the "Emergency Flash" might be the way to go in order to truly flash-back.

Ill get to the b350 soon formula350.

lol It's all good. The big test was "is the modded BIOS corrupt?" and as aGeoM initially proved, it isn't. It gave myself the confidence to then go ahead and flash my Titanium with a modded, so once again we have more evidence.

Now, whether or not a dumped ASUS that gets modded will flash, is indeed still up in the air. However, rest assured, I'm hanging around because of the good details that are showing up in this thread :up: So take your time heh :)

As a bit of a followup to my voltage post... Really hard to know quite WHICH one of the two voltage readings to put more faith in... lol Is it VDDCR_CPU or MB's VCore? Cuz when the system is idle, the VDDCR_CPU is 1.481V and VCore is a more realistic 0.520V. And yet the MOSFET reads as indeed cranking out the 1.48ish volts.

*throws papers in the air* lol Ryzen has surely turned everything upside down for me :P

EDIT: haha I just realized... you've overclocked a Neon! :D

EDIT 2: Alright, so for anyone on at least the MSI Titanium, I can say that flashing BACK from 1.40 to 1.10 (shipping version, I can post if anyone needs it), will reinstate the OLD Microcode. I don't remember what my 1.10 showed before as I was too dumb to make note of it originally, but just now before I flashed back I did and the results:
v1.40: 800111C
v1.10: 8001105

Also it loaded up my RAM at 3200 automatically heh
Now that I've confirmed that, I am going to flash another more heavily modded 1.40 to poke my nose in, then off to bed as it's nearly 3AM!

Its only a stable 100% OC stock does about 135whp with the single cam.

This does 270whp or maybe a tad more with the 2.4 turbo swap with mods ;)

Best mod of all is insurance goes by vin # single cam ATX sure yah that's what it is :D

Still need to wire up the 2 step WOT box but sneakers are on now....maybe take it to the dyno if he gets me a wideband with a serial port I can plug into the laptop....

Then we sacrifice time... and knuckles... right up until about the point it's starting to be so crazy it's a Trailer Queen. (Note to onlookers: not Trailer Park Queen, but a car that doesn't drive itself to and from races lol Also known as a Garage Queen, as its where it sits most of the time).

Always did like the look of DRs, have a set myself, though they did come with the rims lol :D My girl is OB1, so I don't have the luxury of tinkering with programming :( Long long LONG ago, I did tweak a tune for my 1991 Firebird I had in early 2000s and got it burned to a chip, which did seem to help, but I don't honestly know if I ever did hammer one out for my 93, or if I did I don't think I ever had gotten it burned (as I don't have an EEPROM programmer). Alas, that was so long ago I don't even remember the name of the software I had used! Forgotten all I had learned anyways :P
I'm a RWD person myself, but I know those little SRT4s aren't anything to turn my nose up at! Dodge hammered out a nice little 4banger for the tuner crowd with that one. I bet one of those AWD Darts with that would be a friggen blast. :rocker:

At any rate, got 1.40 back on and perhaps the tighter timings in the AGESA just meant 14-15-15-35 weren't stable, as I let the BIOS apply what it wanted (15-15-15) and it booted up this time. Which since CL15 won't work above 2400, means it's running 16-15-15-35, but it's running at 3200... *shrug* Way too tired to vet these speeds tonight, though. Only thing I'm going to do is reboot, see if BCLK 102 works with 3200 still, and go to bed! lol

Older neon = instant weight reduction. ;)

Add in weight redux ive done....hits the scale at 1900lbs :D

Ok so I found this table on overclockers.net which has lots of DRAM configurations that users were able to achieve with the CH6 MB.

I exported it to excel and sorted them to get the "best" ones that interest me the most. Here is the results:

Couple interesting findings:
The top 2 rows are the most interesting, both have a SOC voltage of 1.15.. In Ryzen the mem controller , USB, etc are all handled under that SOC voltage, so that might explain some points.

I see some users on that list using BCLK as high as 135-140s...

Thats pretty much ch6.

It can do 2x16g but not rated.

Im of the mind rated or better or don't bother.
Cas latency is worth alot more than most people think...

It actually completely takes up the slack for the lack of higher fabric speeds.

I would avoid taking any stock in any of the results done on latest betas.

Amd slacked off memory performance alot in latest agesa...

Any gains are merely the fact that timings are way looser which is pretty evident by looking at trc from one verion pre latest agesa to latest agesa.

Also if people disable interleaving etc to get "higher" your going to want to null/void those results.

Once again done by making performance worse in an effort to show a higher #.

I would avoid really high bclk for 24/7...120 is already pushing it for 24/7 use...my 2c..

I agree with everything you said, though at the same time, I really like the 3103 MHz, 14-14-14-14-38-1T by elmor, its just 100Mhz shy of the 3200 goal with 14 timing. Maybe his limitation was that he got the 3200C15 kit instead of the 3200C14, which would mean that that is the best he would get.

Am debating between the 4x8gb 3200 CL14 vs the 2x16gb 3200 CL15. Maybe I will grab whichever is cheaper. 100mhz wont even be dramatic in terms of results, given latency is still 14

Might order parts soon.... first AMD build in 4+ years.... I had nothing but AMD before that... and I use to OC the crap out of them. Need to read up more on the Ryzen architecture to get more familiar with what I can do with OCing. Things changed a lot.

Some users complained video was tough to see settings on asrock due to color scheme so here goes.

32g how to

step 1 bios settings voltages ref clock 120 save reboot
PCI/e gen 1/2 is based on your ref clock.
Read stilts strictly technical on the shift points and use accordingly......

step 2 set cpu clock multiplier reboot

step 3 set xmp reboot

step 4 fine tune timings through xmp profile and fine tune voltages 1.0-1.2vddp, vddr vtt SOC if necessary.

Confirm stable in memtest before you boot.......

Here is where video left off last night after raising my vddp to 1.20......

Check video compare time stamp to prime 95.......as you can see vddp made a huge difference from almost killing OS to stable.

3400 cl16 breaks down to a 3200 cl 15 kit which breaks down to a 3000 c14 kit.......

Its actually a lower bin than say a 2x 16g 3200 rated C14 kit which would break down to 3400 c15, 3200 c14, 3000, c13...

Basically the 4x8gb did spec.

Yep it exceeded spec with latency.

If you read my previous post, 2x16gb 3100 CL14 is very respectable on the CH6. Take into account that the 3200CL14 kit is cheaper than the 3400@CL16.

I really like the 4x8gb running exactly at spec, its just that 2x16gb allows further upgrades. And those kits seem to be cheaper than getting 2 kits of 2x8gb.

So the CH6 wins in both cases, since I can literally use 4x8gb spec or 2x16gb at 3100@CL14 :)

basically by setting the LLC you are disabling vdroop completely.. keeping constant and set voltage to the CPU under load at 1.40.

Did you try increasing the SOC with the 2x16gb and CH6 just a tad little bit... to 1.10 - 1.15.. just for the fun of trying..

T_T Damn. Running the latest BIOS through 32M while at BCLK 102, and something is JUST barely out of whack and causing it to not make it through a full run :\ It was stable enough for a Cache Stress test yesterday for over 15mins though :| Reason I'm bummed is I was heading for a time of (by my estimate) around 8min33sec, based on my previous best of 8min53sec. This next attempt, so far, will bring it down to roughly a 8m31s run at the rate it's going. That's pretty impressive I think, for running stock everything, and on Auto (volts, timings, etc) at DDR4-3200, with only adjustment being BCLK +2MHz lol (Making for DDR4-3264 and a boost of 3970MHz, as I'm in Balanced profile).

I just start measuring caps. I try to keep vddp down till i can sort out soc...easy to mix them up when both are 1.00 in bios.

Test with vddr default @ 1.20. If testing near stock cpu volts...can get a false positive on that to if vddr and cpu are @ 1.35 lol...

No the checksum is really... Not as useful as you would think.

For cas + speed + cpu speed the run looks bugged sorry but I guess even under "ideal" circumstances it can still occur, I caught my fair share of heat running Windows 10 for 1 sub. Try it in Windows 7. For the most part what chew* said it will be slower, but you can tune most of it out and get over the "actually faster than" hump by spending a ton of time tuning the board to bench well, which is basically the polar opposite of 24/7 stability. I haven't even bothered with a DMM because in my opinion the values *set* in bios vs actual is inconsequential except for llc. It's a nice to know for things like llc but ultimately the setting in bios dictates what the end result will be regardless of actual voltage. I'm not after trying to find that golden chip which does XXX freq at XXX volts. To me it just needs to do XXX freq and that's it.

Just my 2c. DMM is a more correct way of doing things, but when you boil it down to action vs reaction, you can get away with a lot short cutting. The down side is you have no real sharable data as standards were not defined.

Yea, in reflection, I have a feeling it indeed was likely a buggy run. The 1.0.0.4a/b/whatever were supposed to completely fix the Sleep Bug, but you know... that run WAS post-sleep. So, I think there are still some kinks to work out. I can say that the main bug I was experiencing of having the temps lock to not being accurate/responsive is indeed fixed, but perhaps that's where I've been having "stability" issues with AIDA64 runs...? I'm one who loves Sleep, particularly because I've found it'll really tell you if a system is stable or not, being that I've had game stable configs but fail to wake up from sleep. Usually those ones were BClk in nature, as it was when AMD first went with that on FM1 APUs where everything tied together, resulting in primarily issues with the Storage Controller flaking out under AHCI (needing to drop back to IDE mode).

I'm really tempted to try and get Win 7 running though, but I'm so on the fence about it *sigh* I'm not a bencher, so this all is just "something to do" and comparative really. However, Win10 (at least v1607) is really irritating me with some of the crap that's been changed :\ I have v1511 on this laptop and more-or-less am content with everything, I mean a few niggles here and there but overall it's :up: to me. The MAIN issue I'm having with v1607 (and I wish I knew when specifically this was implemented) is they made it so UAC being disabled prevents built-in-apps from being able to run:

Which at first blush a person might think "Who the hell uses Win10 apps?", and I'm with you, except things like Photo Viewer are now 'apps', so any time I want to look at an image I have to open it in Paint :shakes: Actually, now it's acting weirder than normal... Before, Edge wouldn't work either, giving the same 'error', but now that worked. Calc, and other programs, would similarly error, but now they kinda fake-open (you see the window's border of the application but it vanishes), no error. *scratches head* lol NEVERTHELESS, in v1511 that's on my laptop here it doesn't happen and I have UAC Disabled. Whether that comes down to versioning or the difference from Home on the laptop and Pro on the desktop... I dunno. Tis very annoying, though! I can appreciate the underlying point of UAC, but if I want it off, it should be off like Win 7. I don't need to click OK on a dialogue box when running anything (bad enough I have to deal with the Firewall one). :rolleyes:

Regardless, I had thought that the 32M run being :rocker: was down to a couple things: #1 AGESA being updated, as I finally flashed a BIOS other than the shipping ver. #2 BCLK @ 102, despite being an ever-so-small increase. #3 That I had killed Explorer and other background tasks, so I was mainly hoping that was the biggest reason for the improvement. Also, fun fact! If you use Process Monitor and 'suspend' MsMpEng (the Antimalware service), it basically knackers the entire system, preventing it from being able to do, well, anything. Open a program... just kinda stalls. Un-minimizing something on the taskbar... pops up with totally blank box other than the header bar. Close something... sits there unresponsive. For that matter pretty much anything that wasn't already open that you try and use becomes "Not Responding" heh KINDA problematic given I can't un-suspend it now. Whodathunk?!
...... and 8mins later, now things start to show up (load) LOL Guess they timed out waiting for whatever it was (probably to scan the program) :P

k so I decided to go with 2x16GB and aim for the 3100 CL14 DDR4 kit with the CH6. Its more futureproof, and makes more sense than going 4x8gb.

I will start OCing when I get all the parts.. and post some hopefully nice results. I will try to mess with the mem as much as I can too to get it running at 100% spec speed for the ENTIRE 32gb.

Maybe a stripped win 10 would be tolerable but currently i prefer 7 even more so after using 10.

Win7 install is easy by the way. Ive loaded multiple versions from a usb stick.

As far as 32m we run it hardcore all the time so we know exactly what timings/ memspeed/ cpu clock is needed for xx time with xx tweaks.

Preety much just a glance and we can tell if something is "off"

In fact im supposed to be working on my 32m times...somehow got sidetracked working on 32g instead to help end users lol.

Nice 32M try, if you mod Bios do show HPET and then disabled it in your BIOS settings, you'll be exposed to the Sleep bug.

And Chew, I considered trying to make a "stripper" model (to coin a car phrase lol) of Win10, but I still suspect it won't grant me what I'm after since I suspect that crap is baked into 10. I'll probably end up copying over this older HP version off my laptop and installing that instead. I only hope it's not afflicted with the same bug that RTM had which crashed the system every few minutes. Couple people had it too and installing the newer 10 fixed their's just like it did for me, so there's definitely something not Ryzen friendly about the original Win10 (installed it says v10.0, not the newer 'build' style version of v1511 etc).

On a side note, there are laptops and MBs such as my DFI 790FX that will show a sleep resume bug under W10 when HPET is enabled on bios (a peculiar BSOD that can be identified later with bluescreenview, but at the time it crashes on resume no image on monitor will show), but only when the system clock isn't forced to it. For some reason, IIRC previously W8.1 and early W10 builds were automatically set to HPETs 14.3Mhz instead of the default 3.xMHz on that particular MB without me touching anything (while it didn't on my Asus 890GX that behaves fine on either setting). But since 1607, I must set bcdedit /set useplatformclock true if I wish to be able to resume from S3 (S1 is OK) at default HTT, but it'll still fail at my daily HTT 240MHz setting no matter what.

Not on English Forum. I got it from the German forum, just for studying Modules. I can post the link if you will. I have same feeling, that they hide HPET for prevent Sleep Bug, letting it enable on BIOS, away from "users" to change it.

What volts for that last screen?

I got FlareX 3200C14. No problemt at XMP settings even with lower voltage (1.325V), now testing 3600 16-16-16-36 1.35V, simulating a higher binned kit.
Will post results when done, but it seems on par with my other 2 B-Die kits.
The strange thing is I have TRC at 61 with exact same bclk and divider with this FlareX on 0082 CH6 bios, while you're at 63.

Maybe my IMC, don't know, but CPU is currently on Megahalems just put on top with 1 unmounted fan. Have no other chip to test. Had 1700 for few days, but sold it.
Plus my chip is happy to run even 3800+ on chiller, no IMC coldbug at these temps, while 1700 was coldbugged. Still have to test on LN2.
Maxmem is needed if you're running high mem clock and high vdimm (all my 3800+ C12 screens are with maxmem, but that's also required on Intel). I'm testing "daily" settings now, so running at full memory capacity, although I won't advice running 135 bclk for 24/7.
I noticed slowdown in Pi, yes.

For 3600C12 you definitely need above 1.6V on the mem.

Cant run over 1.55 vdimm on this chip.

1700 was 1.575 max.

Im doing your little test right now with 16-16-16 3600 @ 1.35. Only thing it looks like i will accomplish is hosing my OS...

3600C16 test done. Booted 3600 15-15-15-35 1T 1.35V same settings, will run tests.
Maybe I'm just lucky.

That bios is running really loose so im not using it to review flare x.

I might go back to 1002 and I will HAVE to, because of 32M, but right now testing this one. The stupid thing is I loose the saved profiles in OC menu when flashing other bios, but I know this by heart already.
I have done my previous stability tests with 2x8 and 4x8 on 1002, so I'm not too worried. Should be able to replicate these.

Infrared: MemTweakIt doesn't show correct subtimings, if that's what you were hoping to see, at least the Tertiary ones that is. I'll double check to make sure the Secondary timings are correct.

Apparently the ones made in China are better than those made in Malaysia, or at least that's what I read early on during first couple weeks of Ryzen 7's launch. The X's all seem to be China and it's the non-X that are hit-or-miss. The 'better' I think was being reported in terms of.... the IMC! Again, am going off memory, but didn't really commit much of it to long-term since my 1700X was China and so I wasn't affected by it.

Problem is I have to test as the avg joe would test. here is docp loaded and I just went in edited timings to 16-16-16 saved and then bumped mem speed up.

everything else is left alone except I'm gen 1 because fury X as most users will use a real vga not an 8000 series like we would bench with.

Also avg joes probably going to be on a public bios so that eliminates betas, can't force them to use beta just to use qualified memory.

I still cant pass 32m so prime and HCI is totally out of the question. Also the xmp does jack the trc down its not the bios its the XMP.

Also Docp has the SOC covered so 1.2 soc is out of the equasion now since its setting 1.22 soc

I got 2 china 2 Malaysia R5 here.....all are duds except this one. Malaysia....

1400 = 4050 stable Malaysia <-----used in 32g testing
1600 = maybe 3.5 but probably 3.4 malaysia
1500x maybe 3.5 china
1600x maybe 3.9 but most likely 3.8 china
1700 3.9 stable Malaysia <------used in 32g testing
1700x 3.8 stable maybe china
1800x 4.0 stable china

I run 1.1 VSOC at 3600, VDDP 1.2, don't use DOCP or XMP, but I guess it set the tRC based on XMP profile, even though I did not load it.
The only one relatively new VGA I have is GTX980 in my main machine. But anyway, it's not advisable to run bclk that high anyway, so these 3600 tests are mostly irrelevant for the moment. We will see in May if the add more dividers and unlock subtimings.
I'm only testing 2D for now, will move to 3D soon just to see what's possible.

My CPU is China, I believe. 4GHz at 1.3V and lower on air (1.325V set in bios, but using LLC3). 4.15 at 1.46V for some multithread benches on air.
Have only ran ~30min Prime95 Blend at 4G 1.3V, so can't call it stable.

PS: 3600C14 passed memtest with 1.485V(set in bios/soft) VDIMM.

I'm even less stable when I go full manual memory mode. No clue.

Some boards don't have vddp just some standby vddp to 1.050 which I tried and seemed to
do absolutely nothing.

So really even though I know for a fact it works I need to stay away from it till other boards add it I guess.

I'm not sweating it. I know a new public bios is almost done should be ready next week.

I can't complain flare x is doing advertised NP at various dividers. I think bios needs to mature before I review them though.

bclk 120 should be safe enough I have tested extensively at it but yes 135 is definitely pushing it for 24/7 use.

Pretty much anything over 120 is pushing it.

You should swap an B16, B18, K20 ore K24 with Turbo on it :)
500+ up to 1000+ is no Problem with them
But K24 does with ITB 300+ also

I race with them b series is slow.

K is fast but those trannies are fragile.

Itb is fun but headaches...weather changes oops back to the dyno or try to do a new street tune..

Where i live weather changes alot lol.

Ks cost to much anyway. My car is capable of 600 whp...i have $1500 into it total :D

Been slammed with work plus busy squashing a bug on ocn.

My intuition tells me odds are very high all coldbug.

Conformalled a general area front and back around socket then built a puddle control wall.

Im not worried about moisture or even drops of water. Just controlling where it can go for now. As long as it stays on my conformal area i can can give the cpu a drink of water...board will just keep working fine ;)

Phase change first.

I do not appear to have golden imc chips so tuning with a cb is just dumb on ln2.

I will tune on phase and pray it does not get worse on ln2 and maybe if lucky gets better.

I wonder how long these chips will run at high OC's before they start to degrade.
That was my biggest problem, workstations running high OC and after 6 months I have to start lowering the OC.
That was with Intel chips and water cooled. Tho my old QX9650 that was on Phase and did the same thing.

No clue bill. My 2600k is still chugging away on my m4e and that was the 5.6g chip i benched with...hard.

Anyway...time to make this a little more presentable plus im getting older my knees are killing me...
