Yes, clock never changed and system is real stable at those clocks. haven't had any crashes or issues even while playing BF3 for 4 hours today and this game, on the right maps, uses 60-70% CPU usaage..... pretty awesome modern game we have here.

Here is something till Interlogos shows up for testing. Its a ES Magny-Cours 12 core with unlocked multi. 7 cores are at 3.3gig and the other 5 is at 3.6gig. Best I can do on air cooling and the voltage reg on this G34 motherboard.
http://pic100.picturetrail.com/VOL60.../399245414.jpg
I can't say. The same way others kind of show up here.
weird CB @ single core, usually around 0.75~0.85 score here
i'm trying to repeat it but got sleepy @ 4am ~_~
http://i1095.photobucket.com/albums/...ei7/610048.jpg
Dave, you're probably gonna hate me for this so eh... sorry dude!
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v6...115842crop.png
The chip just kept scaling with voltage but it wasn't real easy to beat this score at 20ºC ambient.
Your turn Dave. ;)
nice Zeus, looks like nice chip, what temps did u get in load? It is possible with aircooling?
Thanks Flank3r. To be honest i haven't kept an eye on the temps but i pointed the Infrared themometer on the side of chip's heatspreader and it only read 32ºC or something. This with 5.1GHz and almost 1.55V
I never saw the powerdraw of the entire system exceed 400 watt from the wall outlet druring these cinebench runs. So yes i think it should be doable under good aircooling too but maybe in the end of the test the heatload might get too high.
I've had at least 3 times where cinbench was rendering the very last line of squares when it suddenly froze, see pic where it froze at the last square! :(
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v6...s/IMG_0378.jpg
I think it got a little hot at 1.55V lol.
hehe, nice, I got the same in last square :D
http://img193.imageshack.us/img193/6...nebench52g.jpg
Low leaking FX-4100 on air (Thermalright UEX120 + Ultra Kaze, ambient 18c).
Due to this board being quirky, this is the best I've done so far...and pathetically it's on dry ice. It'll do 4940 on water but I couldn't get more than 5235 on dry ice.
I don't know why CB was detecting it as 4C/8T.
http://content.quadninja.com/image/m...15_di_5235.png
Well, I am getting there. Turned the poor mans chiller on and set the speed to 5ghz and 1.58v.....
8.16pts
I'll try again tomorrow and hope for better temps.
http://3800z24.info/CHVF/fx8120-8150...4-5.0-8120.jpg
Wow nice run...I wish i Had 8core , this FX6100 is getting fun with regular water hehe
http://i168.photobucket.com/albums/u...ierra/3d10.png
Looks good. I seem to have the worse clocking 8core on Xtremesystems, lol.
I'm at 16*C this mornign and the chiller has been off all night.
Nice run!
I was unable to complete a ~5.1GHz Cinebench with my chip tested at ~17.5/18 C. ambient temps... aircooled. It seemed to stop scaling with volts... maybe the chip was just getting too hot or the chip might have reached its limits?
http://i695.photobucket.com/albums/v...ch11550GHz.png
Is anyone else as suprised as me that gOtVoltage's FX-6100 is still alive? Anyone?
1.7v in Cinebench on air...
Also, gotvoltage, your scores seem extremely low...:(
That is exactly what I figured.
AMD's 32nm chips obviously can not take voltages that were "pushing thresholds" on 90nm. I was doing validations on my Windsor chip just over 1.7v...
El Gappo hinted that he wouldn't pass 1.5v on air anymore, and it seems really dangerous to push past 1.9-1.95v on LN2 (2.05v CPU-Z scares me a bit, I don't have the money to just buy extra chips)
I would be more careful than a lot of us are being right now.
Seems to be My Bios Holding things back . The temps are fine and this Mobo/Chip combo needs the volts to keep the Vdip down. Anyway im living up to my name and some one needs to see what these things can take...
Ram is very tricky on this mobo .HIGh HTT and or stock htt dosnt seem to make a differance on my Cinebench besideds HigherClock speed and Ram speed
@gOtVoltage
Looking at your scores at OCed speed,I'm sure the chip is throttling badly(due to temp reasons). Your scores are lower than what they should be at those clocks.
@Particle
Interesting anomaly in the detection of FX in CB. What motherboard are you running?
Hmm the 990FXA UD5 .. I think i just found my problem....
RAM TIming in Bios was the blame
Bios was in Auto and timin was not correct for my ram.
BEFORE
http://i168.photobucket.com/albums/u...ierra/3d12.png
After Now its where a 5000mhz FX6100-6core should be
http://i168.photobucket.com/albums/u...ierra/3d11.png
The chip is now running where its suppose to be for 5000mhz. Did some test and it came down to ram timing.. This Mobo/CPU will not go over 2700mhz/NB/HT no matter if its stock or clocked. Even using Stock volts it has always never gone above 2700NB stable.
Well... I managed to squeak past you, but there's nothing left in the cores @ ambient thats CB stable. :p:
I took the v's all the way up to 1.4875 and couldn't even get 1 more click on the HTRef!
My chip just doesn't seem to like v's @ room temps.
If ya beat me again I'll have to work on the IMC (but I know there's not much there either ).
http://i30.photobucket.com/albums/c3...1_BestCB11.png
Your turn.....
Very nice buddy, very nice...
...but not good enough!
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v6...115845crop.png
Don't know how much there is left but not much i guess. I don't think raising CPU-NB and memclocks will gain much but there's something left untapped it seems. ;)
You had that sitting there waiting didn't you...
At least I gave you the courtesty of working on it for a few hours! ;)
I'll think about it while I'm watching football. I might be able to change things around and squeeze a few more
mhz out of it using different mutlis/ref, but a tie would probably be a huge success at this point. :yepp:
Nice work Bud!
Actually, yes. I got that score right after i got that 8.42 but decided to keep it under my wraps as a back up in case you would top my 8.42 score.
I had a lot of processes and stuff going on so maybe by killing some processes and disabling some stuff efficiency might increase a little and give a better result. I don't think there is a lot to gain in terms of MHz for my chip as you can see i had to raise the volts quite a bit to get it to run at 5140MHz.
Keep pushing Dave, pretty sure you will beat me soon again. ;)
Ok like it is NB/HT has very little affect going from 2000mhz to 2600mhz / ht was set at 2000 and 2600 seeing it lowers as the NB can not go below the HT value.
Also lowering my HT caused my CPUvcore to go up..These Bioses truly suck donky beef
Interesting Indeed
http://i168.photobucket.com/albums/u...ierra/3d13.png
http://i168.photobucket.com/albums/u...ierra/3d14.png
Almost better than football today, hahaa gettin popcorn and beer ready
You got a nice chip yourself and on top of that, you got some huge bawls to give it that much volts. Nice to see how much CPU-NB can boost the score.
I foresee some more CB runs this week. :)
Fiddled a little with cine tonight, around 16C water, 1.54 real vcore. Dont think a whole lot more is possible, but we'll see..
http://i119.photobucket.com/albums/o...67settings.png
Well, not better than football for me... The Bengals just got ther 5th straight win! :D:clap:
wez: Way to come out of nowhere dude! Very nice score....
Looks like all you guys are running MUCH higher v's than I am.
Are you guys using outdoor (cold) air for cooling?
Also, do your chips quit scaling with v's and you just keep pushing anyway?
I took mine up pretty close to 1.5v and couldn't get anything out of it compared to 1.4275. :(
Maybe I just have a wierd chip.
Well, no football for me, Been playing with different bios versions seeing what does better for me. And Dave, It's not your chip that's weird...:p:
I have to increase v's on my chip to get higher. The more i give the more it climbs. I just don'y have tha balls to push like Gotvoltage;)
I have had temps as low as 13*C with loads of 31 and can't get any for mhz unless I push the v's.
psst
temperatures get higher faster with leakier transistors :p
Max cinebench on 1100T at 4 cores in 22c ambient:
http://img404.imageshack.us/img404/2999/4corecine.png
This CPU sucks but I was suprised that it got this far.
Cores 5/6 disabled, if I enable 5/6 instead of 3/4 I am maxed at 4280 flat.
NB is at 1.24v to reduce heat
EDIT:
Looking back to page 6-8, I see that my CPU is still full of suck. I didn't degrade it or anything, why do all my CPUs hate me?
Prolly cause you've been hating on the FX so bad lately, and you don't even have one yet....
Charged: Yeah, I think your right... It's somewhat different from Thuban, with Thuban the chip was close to the edge when you couldn't get a little more with a slight bump in v's.
It seems that sometimes it takes quite a bit more v's to get higher clocks with the FX (not optimal), but it works...
Anyway, back on topic...
I just couldn't let the FX noobs of Zeus & wez make me look bad!
I've had my chip for close to a month, and they just got theirs. :D
I worked on this again after the game, and got a pretty decent CB11 score...
Not sure how long this will last, but it includes OS/temp tweaks (I opened the windows, even though it's not that cold out). :p:
Ambient Temp is ~20c, and I pushed voltages WAY higher than what everything likes (Chip/IMC and Mem):
http://i30.photobucket.com/albums/c3...611_CB11_2.png
I'm not sure I'll push much harder than this! I like this chip and I don't wanna break it...
Before I found the max CB clocks, I ran a few others benchies. Not too shabby... :p:
http://i30.photobucket.com/albums/c3...1_OtherMax.png
Say what you want folks... In typical AMD fashion, this is a fun chip to OC! :D
I think I may have to accept defeat on this one. For now.... ;)
Without using the AC to blow semi-cold air over the rads, voltage/freq wont scale much beyond 1.45v, heat just kills it.. As with thuban these things sure love it cold.
Did some testing, turning off the fans on two of my rads, leaving just one with fans going. Running my 24/7 clocks (4750/2600) The result is hard lock/bsod when under load. That somehow show how cooling hungry and picky these things are.
Way to raise the bar Dave! That will take some serious work to surpass i guess. I hope i can find some time this week to see what's left in mine but i'm afraid it will be doors open or pc outside. :)
For now, you're the champ, enjoy your moment of fame dude!! :toast:
Oh Wes, not bad dude! ;)
WOW! You're guys having fun here!
5.1GHz+ for Cinebench is great! Can any of you just for nostalgic reasons run one set of tests using 2003x64 version? Pretty please! (Can be PM not to derail this nice thread!)
I went to the dark side this round on main rig and threads like this makes me sad I can't join in :(
But still some fun ahead of me tweaking my new A6 3650 HTPC!
very nice Dave....My FX 8150 will tomorow here!!!!Wow, lets the game begin!
Well, done Dave. Looks like I need to get some new Ram. I think it is the biggest performance killer I have right now. I canget the clocks, but have to bring the timings up too which defeats the prupose. I need to know a good set to buy, any suggestions?
Hey Dave!
Maybe it is because I've been hating on FX so much lately ;) however its ST performance is preeettttyyyy bad. MT isn't all that bad though, with its 8 threads and all.
I am extremely money tight atm and that is the ONLY reason I do not have one of these chips. Chances are, I'll get one and I won't be able to OC it worth a :banana::banana::banana: either :p: due to my bad luck or extreme lack of skill as I've been told before.
I dare you to push over the 5.2 Ghz hump :p:
dave, woohoo.. it'd be fun with ambient 10C temp clocking at next time :D
I think it was specific to the 32-bit binary. I'd run the 64-bit one before under Windows 8 and it showed up normally. Since I was having system trouble though all through that run, I wouldn't read a whole lot into it. It could have just been a fluke. Also worth noting is that Windows 8 performance in CB is down compared to Windows 7, so that theory I'd seen some other people mentioning doesn't appear to hold true in my experience.
Dear Mr Daveburt, don't you dare to beat my score ever again!!
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v6...115856crop.png
Sincerly yours,
Zeus. ;):D
I don't wanna see it. I refuse to log in XS anymore. :(
Seriously, you have one hell of a chip then Dave, mine ran out of steam even though i lowered ambient temps by quite a bit. After the first error message the chip felt "tired" and kept failing. Fortunately there's always another day.
Looking forward to your back-up score, you sneaky b@stard. :D
Beep: I'd never doubt your skills man.... Too bad you don't have an FX though, if you did, you probably wouldn't be quite so hard on it.
For everyday use it seems just as fast (if not faster) than Thuban, and for encoding video it's quite a bit faster.
(BTW: Beep, here's your 5.2 CB run)
Zeus: I learned my sneaky skills from you buddy...
I was afraid you might have had another one up your sleeve. ;)
http://i30.photobucket.com/albums/c3...11_CB_Zeus.png
Yeah , a few times i tried going over 5250 with my UD5 . I thought it was just me. Ill try more this next weekend .The Mobo has a huge voltage swing and might be the culprit on Cins pretest then i get that same error :) Ive only noticed it when my Vdroop is way high.
@ Zues
@ DAVE
Dayum all these 5200mhzers everywhere ...
Nice to see Everyone cranking em... ah wouldnt have XSessive chip thrashing any other way .
Dave, i thought i had asked you politely not to beat my score?
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v6...B11586crop.png
You just refuse to give up, don't you? ;):D
Cheers mate.
Hmm, damn you guys! Something needs to be done...
Nice job zeus ;)
Zeus:hehe nice, specially, u are at C4F!!!!Wow. Whats temps do u have in load in Cinebenchs? And what temps in room?
Great fight guys!
I enjoy watching it
At this rate I can see tomorrow we will be close to 9.xx points in CB11.5 :D
zeus throws thunders :D :D
Think I'm gonna break out the CHIV, maybe it is magical.....
Nice Job guys, I am on the hnt for more Ram.
http://i6.aijaa.com/b/00083/9025823.png
Got my 8150 last week. Have been playing little with it. Stable in prime with cold water 4.9G /1.488v. Quick test with CINEBENCH :)
Thanks guys.
I'm enjoying this much as you guys do. :)
@wes, expecting some new scores from you soon bud. ;)
@Flank3r, i didn't watch the temps during benches, all i cared about was for it to finish the benchmark. Ambient was quite low, around 10ºC i guess. Hardware Monitor showed 0ºC idle at times. :)
@Lightman, 9 points is way out of our league with watercooling (i think) but of course we'll keep pushing.
@charged, don't expect too much out of the C4F, the bios for BD is pretty immature and buggy. What board are you running now?
edit: Krjalone, WTF?? Great score dude!!
Zeus - it might be in your best interest to switch to 2000+ C7 ;)
Zeus: You... You... Your mother was a hampster and father smelled of Eldeberries! I fart in your general direction.... :D
Very impressive Man! Never thought I'd wish for cold weather but that will probably be my only hope.
I agree with Flank3r, doubly impressive since your on the C4F...
krjalone: WOW! Is that on a chiller? I was getting really close to the edge @ 20c with my 8.59 run (still too warm here).
charged3800z24: I've been looking for an 8gb kit. I haven't seen anyone using these, but FWIW I've had my eye on them:
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16820226245
I like the fact that it's a 1.5v kit and other than freq the timing offset looks very similar to the kit I have
Take into account that I'm a Mushkin fan though. ;)
It would have to be a chiller, his CPU temp is 19c :p
EDIT:
Dave-
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16820226188
Dave, you know my parents?? :D
I was pretty satisfied with my result untill a person called krjalone came along and crushed not only my score but also my back-up score. :( (did i have one? ;) )
If his run is done on a conventional watercooling set-up (with the aid of mother nature of course) it is mighty impressive! If he made use of a chiller it's still very good but a little less impressive in my book.
The C4F is a pretty good and solid board but this latest bios makes it feel buggy. It still clocks fine it seems but maybe i will get me a CVF though, still undecided.
Beep, i don't know if this kit can pull that off but i might give it a go. I've ordered som ram with PSC chips but appearently they were not in stock and i have to wait a bit longer. Now i saw Hynix ram clocking pretty darn good too. Wondering if that will be the new "super ram".
Hi. Zeus : Not intended to crush anybody (just crunch WCG full ahead)
Water was 7 celsius in cinebench. My radiators are in garage and its getting finaly cold here. 3 celsius outside now. I have a crappy chiller but water goes only 5 celsius. I hope I can finish my better chiller next week :)
Many great results keep them coming
Hey krjalone, no worries mate. You did a very good job with your set up.
Thanks for explaining your cooling set up, sounds like a very good system, 7ºC water is rather excellent for normal watercooling!
Can you tell me what motherboard and ram you were using for that Cinebench run?
Give it a go, I'm sure it can ;)
My kit is a tad better than yours and does Cinebench at 2000 7-7-6 on Thuban with only 1.64v, you should be able to do 2000-2050 7-7-7 easy under 1.7v
I have some PSC up for sale, though they aren't that expensive or clock well... :d
Hynix gives you 8GB, however above 2000 you are looking at CL9.
Here is my max Cinebench so far with my Thuban:
That is 1.64v load.
Core 2 (the one that does 4.5 Ghz 32M runs at 1.6v...which is pretty poor in itself) does 4400 in Cinebench, however it doesnt help the score when the benchmark waits on other cores to finish.
http://img69.imageshack.us/img69/7191/cineh.png
That's what I was curious about too bud... So it's natural and not mechanically cooled. AWESOME score!
You almost make me want to give up , of course I just can't yet...
It's still way too warm here, almost 14c @ midnight. Not sure I can beat that 8.65, but don't consider yourself off the hook yet. :p:
Maybe in January? Hehe...
dont give up Dave :D! I believe you
Sorry for the double post...
It depends on what you call a chiller.
I saw the low temps, I just don't consider using outside air a chiller. And he does live in Finland. :D
As for those 2000 9-11-9 Mushkins, I looked at those too...
They look decent, but wuttz over @ AMDZone has a set and hasn't gotten really good results with them
(It could be his mobo though), we'll see when he gets his new board. ;)
I liked the kit I linked because of the 1.5v rating... I've had good luck with my current lovo kit so thats what drew me to it. :yepp:
I'm pretty close to ordering them (just a few more beers :p:) and I'll let you folks know what they do (evil grin)...
Don't really know why, I'd just like to have a decent performing 8gb kit, and mem is fairly cheap in the big scheme of things.
My old Corsair Hyper kit doesn't seem too bad. After Beep advised to try 2000 7-7-7 i gave that a spin and it seemed to be able to do it without breaking a sweat:
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v6.../cachemem5.png
Never knew Hyper was that versatile actually. I think you still have a kit of hypers Dave?
Only thing required was to raise Tref from 110 to 160ns.
Yeah, I have some Corsair GT 2000 CL8's Zeus...
I'm not really good at ram clocking though. I tried these on the FX and they were just as annoying as they were on Thuban.
I never tried loosening Tref though. The Mushkin PSC's are just so much easier to work with...
I was almost ready to order the kit I mentioned so I'd have them for the weekend!
Maybe I need to hold off and give the Hypers one more chance... :D
That's what i was trying to tell you mate. I hate to see you waste your valuable beer money. ;) Just try to raise Tref, made all the difference for me.
I appreciate you looking out for me Zeus... :D
And you got some pretty decent clocks out of those GT's by changing the tRef, but they still don't quite match the throughput
I got from these 1600 lovo Mushkins.
http://i30.photobucket.com/albums/c3...IDAResults.png
It seems like slightly higher frequency offers better results than tighter timings on the FX...
Lord knows I could use more beer money though. :p:

lol, we are a bit OT here...This si my first 8120 95W chip (no last one 8120 12W)
awesome score guys! keep them comming :)
My hyper sticks didn't need higher tref, I actually lowered it to 90ns as I always do. But haven't tested the performance impact of it on BD, so perhaps its unnecessary. But they are pretty iffy with sub timings. They need to be adjusted when running lower mem ratios with high ht ref. For auto 2000 they where pretty good for stability. But could be tightened a notch or two and still keep stability.
Edit: I see you are running 1.65v, I must use +1.72v to run 2000 7-7-7 90ns
I said it because his sig said he was running one.
If you want a decent performing 8GB kit, you better run a little faster to catch the train that left...Hynix BFR seems harder and harder to find every day.
As far as AIDA results go...
He is running a board completely different than yours, you have different versions of AIDA, you are running higher CPU speed (makes a difference), and your board is tuned for performance with BD...
40 Mhz is not going to have a 400-1100 MB/s effect on scores. (Your read and copy)
flanker, tell more about 95w cpu. what is stock volt?
Heh........lets throw a mobile APU into the mix just for fun.
3GHz A6-3400M .....on laptop cooling. Proximity to open window.
I gotta get myself a BD to muck around with :P Maybe with christmas money.
http://slappablog.files.wordpress.com/2011/11/3000.png
I know this is kinda silly, and has no relevance to real world use, but it was pretty cold here tonight 32f (0c)....
So I decided to lift my heavy azz 800D case out on the patio, just to make you guys work harder. :D
8.65 CB 11.5... Pfft, wimp... (J/K krjalone ;)).
I couldn't quite get the 9.xx you were looking for Lightman, but I did try. :p:
I may, or may not have something a little better than this (Zeus).
http://i30.photobucket.com/albums/c3...11_CBCold2.png
Anyway, I ran some of my other benchies while I had the rig outside.
Other than WinRar, they're not all that impressive, but still pretty good for an 8120... :yepp:
http://i30.photobucket.com/albums/c3...ColdOthers.png
Dave...you're tearing it up man!!
I'll have no answer to that bro, consider yourself and your chip a winner.
I have a Crosshair V Formula coming and maybe i can get my greedy hands on a kit of Flares (14400 C9 though) but i don't think my chip got what it takes.
Congrats man, 15 seconds 1M on a Bully ain't too shabby either! :toast:
awesome Dave!!!!Uf, uff. Really very nice piece of chip.
Well... Your no fun anymore Eugene. ;)
I may as well go ahead and show my full hand, so when Reckonu updates the list I can move back up to the top 10... :p:
http://i30.photobucket.com/albums/c3...11_CBCold4.png
Thanks guys...
As Flank3r says, I think it's more that I just got lucky in the chip lottery, and not so much that I have special skills... :p:
What?? I'm no fun anymore? :shakes:
I said i don't think i can top your score, i did not say i gave up, did i? :D
Just say hello to my new little friend:
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v6...r/IMG_2297.jpg
I don't think it will be the answer but maybe it helps to OC the chip a tiny bit better. By the end of next week i will have a kit of Flares to complement the board.
The only thing left i will need is cold. ;)
My 8120 is here, on water
http://www.xtremesystems.org/forums/...=1#post4989578
Oh, and great score Dave
Here is my 8.18 @ ~5.0 score... cooling is on air. Now that we are heading towards winter... maybe during the 1st cold cold snap I'll try again outside and push for 5.1.
http://www.xtremesystems.org/forums/...=1#post4989098
Your forgot my last entry this post
5017mhz
water cooled
Thanks,
nice job Daveburt, my 8120 has died but i have new one coming along with a 8150 also. i will be after 8.85 very soon.
Thanks for the heads up!

If you wouldn't mind too much, could you pull a heatspreader off the Flares and look at what rev. PSC die they used?
My Pi 2133 C7 sticks will do 32M at 6-9-6 up near 2100 it seems however 7-9-7 scales no further. 6-10-6 is more stable than 7-9-7. I'm curious to see if different IC revisions were used. Also, I remember chew running tRAS 15 as well, when I can not tighten much lower than 20.
I will see Beep, if they good, i'll keep them and i might take them spreaders off for a peek. If they're not good i will get rid of them and then i'm not gonna pull them, unless there's no warrenty sticker stuck on the screws.;)
ReKcOlNu: Thanks for keeping up with the list!
equinox1: Just out of curiosity, how'd your 8120 die?
I noticed my local MicroCenter has 8150's in stock for $260.... Why am I tempted to go buy one?
I think I need to go back to my "Hardware Annonymous" meetings... :yepp:
OT & wez: Thanks guys! I had the feeling this chip would like cold, and it does...
If you get a chance, try it.... ;)
Zeus: Gratz on the new gear! That board should give you better OC.
Although, it looks like your C4F was hanging pretty tough!
Just for the record, that 8.24 score of mine is on...sigh...dry ice. Seems to be a motherboard problem.
The rig itself was good, as were temps. The problem was that the board just didn't want to allow anything beyond about 5 GHz. Water to dry ice netted about 250 MHz, and I can't believe it's the CPU causing that. I want to try it again with an ASRock 990FX Extreme4 I think.
I used a Gigabyte GA-990FXA-UD3 for my run. I'm sure things will smooth out eventually, but I'm not sure I'll wait before getting a new bench board. Heck, I've got a new block of plain gray non-drying clay ready. I'm also becoming a fan of conformally coating boards with polyurethane prior to runs. It makes moisture control pretty much optional, but I still dress the board like it wasn't coated anyway.
White rice worked well for me, if you dont mind cleaning it up.
I am too lazy to insulate my boards correctly and am often low on benching time (unless I stay up extremely late, not good for education)...carpet floor in here, rice eats up all moisture and you just dump it on the board. I layered paper towel between socket backplate and board, paper towel (8 thick) around VRM and memory, a few thick rest of board. Dump it off the board when done benching, run over floor with vacuum, all issues solved.
