6 Gig !!! - thats mental :toast:
Very VERY NICE!!!!!!!:clap::up::shocked: WOW!! Any chance of you sharing your settings for this amazing feat?? I'm finding 501 bios better than 601 but completely different. Some guidelines for skews and vrefs sure would hit the spot!! Are you stable enough to have a go at the 3d records??
thanks mate thats pretty standard with extreme cooling these days ( btw that was done with a 2 stage cascade)
nothing too special booted into windows at 5900mhz and pumped up the fsb from there.. lol i cant remember what i had set as volts in bios i will check tomorrow when i ran more 3d ;)

I know its pretty standard for you guys with the "big toys" but its still pretty big bickies around these parts!!:up: If you don't mind, while your checking those voltages, (hint hint) take a look at your ram skews, Gtl's, Vref's as well.....PPpplllllllleeeeeaasssseeeeee!!!!!:D
That's some knockout runs there Solarfall:up:
ExpatGriz you had 5.5ghz out of your 8600 on SS didn't you? I'd be interested to know your settings:D
RLM
Awesome clocks, solar. :eek: Everytime I see an E8600 breaking 6ghz I feel bad for buying an E8400. :doh:
I find this board very frustrating to work with be it with 0501,0601 or my present 0701.
Would really like some advice with the QX9650 + Mushkin 996625. Watercooled, temps idle 26,27,25,30 using Realtemp. Stable 280x8. As soon as I try x9 OCCT reports voltage instability but more importantly, Prime blend or smallf will not pass. I've tried a number voltage combinations, even max most of the voltages to just before yellow indications and no go. Greg was very helpful at Mushin but I think that I need a second or third opinion.

I've tried several skew combination between 25/50 to 50/100. :shakes:
Yes, still working on them as I have a random core that drops out half way through HyperPi. From what I have read the data bus GTL may need to be set higher than the address bus GTL. Will be running on a die at a time utilising one core at a time to set them up as best I can over the weekend. Also (again from what I read) it is not uncommon to need different values across dies.
I was way off then so according to this example from Cryptik:
With FSB termination voltage set at 1.15316 ( just presuming it's a good value: = 1.15316 x .635 = .73. But he add .667 for 5 core - I don't get it and read it 5 times.Quote:
Vtt x 0.667 + Y = Vtt x 0.635
1.14v x 0.667 + Y = 1.14v x 0.635
0.760v + Y = 0.724v
Y = 0.724v - 0.760v
Y = -0.036v
Y = -36 mv
did some more clocking today.. i was able to crack few of my personal records :D
bios settings that i used were:
cpuv:1.8750v
pplv:1.51v
fsb:1.60v
nb:1.709v
ram:2.2v
everything else was in auto and NB was watercooled.

Bought this board, first time with ddr3.
With ALL voltage set to the LOWEST in the bios 500fsb orthos stable

1.9V cl8 ddr3 2000
Attachment 88137
2.1V cl7 ddr3 2000

I know what you mean :D but -36 looks reasonable, I get lost at the .63 and .67 multipliers as the RE works differently but my temps have proved the - values to work best on 45nm CPUs so I'm sticking with 'em. I think the science and mathematics go so far then the rest is down to trial and error !
Just starting to play with them again now .........
Sunny7day, that looks like some awesome ram, what brand/type is it?
It comes without heatspreader, green pcb.
Attachment 88143
Just barely pass 13K with 7.5x multiplier with my E8400:shakes:

Hi, Does anyone know how to run HyperPi on cores 2 & 3 ?.
When doing a run with 2 cores it defaults to cores 0 & 1. Thanks in advance.
I assume that running a QX9650 on OCCT = 73-75:smoke::shock: is not safe right?
Let me know asap. On idle it goes down to 38
I think OCCT report temps are wrong but don't want to take a change. Run Prime at it's around 61 on all 4 cores
giving 0701 a go now. Disconnected my disks first - maybe overcautious but thanks Solarfall (I think :D).
first flash to BIOS 1 gave same result as EF - wouldn't save settings or AUTO. Flashed again and ok for saves etc.
2hrs ok in 86+ at 450/900 with VDIMM at 1.62V and my other settings for 0403 / 0501. So not worse for me at low clocks/VDIMM anyway.
going to image another system disk and try something more.
Top tip when running HyperPi or other benching S/W ......................... disable screen saver first :D
Now Pi stable and moving onto Prime.
