mreld3r,no problem thats why i posted it.and it been stolen from jor3lBr and repackaged by me so if you want to thank someone all credit should go to him.he is the master.with out his help and suggestions most of us would still be trying to reach the magic 4.0ghz.also thanks to napalm,nugzo,zodden stasio sparda,eletrasadist,but most of all PangingIII.without his help i most likely would have already thrown in the towel.by the way the 4-4-4-10 at 506x8.5 run im using my cellshocks pc8000's 4x1 4GB.i wish my g.skils could do 4-4-4-1- with 8gigs but they just wont run cas 4.any way

Got me new Q9650 today! Batch number L842B682/VID 1.25. Booted into windows at 8x500. First test run at 1.36vcore, 1.40VTT, 1.40NB, 1.54PLL.

Thanks mate! Better then the last one, but the volts are still pretty high, although this is only test run trying to see if I can get 500FSB stable. Now I am going to mix things up and try for lower volts or higher clocks. At least my temps are not outrageous, 61C full load/small ftt's at 1.36vcore sounds decent for an air cooler right?

Well done. But I`m sure, your chip need less volts, like 1,200-1,250 to be stable at 500x8.

Hi ViViD, this was a test run. Ram was at 1000mhz/1:1 and PL10. GTL's were on auto, I only set the Vcore/VTT/NB and CPU PLL and some of those were probably high, I was just seeing if my board would run 500FSB. I am currently testing 455x9, 1.35vcore, CPU GTL 0.630, PLL 1.54, FSB 1.32, NB 1.32, NBGTL 0.660, SB 1.2- This might not be stable, we will have to see.

Edit: This run passed 2hr small ftt and 2hr OCCT Ram test. Time for a vcore drop or a FSB increase for a higher clock. :)

Try raising your cpu gtls some and lower your vcore.

Thanks Hoss, I let that run go for 2 hours small fft's. I have not changed anything yet but I am running a 2 hour OCCT Ram test to check NB/RAM settings for this fsb, if this passes I am lowering vcore or trying for 9x465 with the same vcore and settings. I do not know very much about GTL's, I copied these from user nkresho post #1135. He had the same VID/Mobo and bios so I gave it a shot. Why would raising the CPU GTL's help? I know GTL's are tricky but if you have a short answer it would help me understand what I am doing better. Thanks again!

Ive found that once you find a spot with your GTLs on auto where it fails prime in a little over a half hour or so you can usually stabilize by tweeking your GTLs. Here is a great thread about CPU GTLs here, probably my favorite thread here. There is alot of good info in there. Good luck. :up:

Sounds like a decent chip. Any stuck sensors?

Here is my 9650 at 4400 at 1.4v running 10+ hours of Prime small. Had to increase PLL to 1.56v and FSB T to 1.46v with NB at 1.42v but all is good.:D

Nahh I'm just having some fun with the Extreme as well. My Cryo-Z is ready! Now I'm deciding which one to use first. :up:

I'm back on the UD3P breaking stability/ram timings records at 4500Mhz.

UD3P&Q9650 - 4500Mhz stable under 1.40vcore and using aggressive straps and PL's and cheap Water Cooling coming soon

:shakes:Of course. Intel just couldn't get the temp sensors right on these things. All four cores are stuck at 32-34C minimum. As far as the chip being decent, well I am lowering my vcore some tonight and trying for 4.2ghz on air. If this chip hits 4.2ghz stable on air I will be in love.

Thanks again. That is on a P5Q Deluxe and yes it is Pl7 though my fsb is 489x9 for 4400. This 9650 simply rocks and that is on its own water loop with a remoted PA 120.3 rad and fuzion block that is in 40 degree air so temps never get out of hand. I was actually surprised my self when I saw the temps after about two hours into it and I took the coretemp shot, just a slight increase in the Pll and FSB t at 1.4v and Prime95 ran no problem. The ram is Teamgroups new 1300 type running at 586 4-4-4-12 at 2.38v. This is the best Quad I have tested this month and should do over 4500.

My Q9650, P5Q3 Deluxe and G.Skill 4GBPI were on my porch last night when I got home from work. It was late so I haven't had a chance to play with anything yet. I did rip the heat spreaders off the G.Skills and they are Samsung HCF0 IC's.

I will post batch # and some quick results tonight on the P5Q3 Deluxe. I will get some results with the P5E3 Premium uploaded this weekend.

Hopefully I got a good chip:rolleyes:

Nice clocks at that voltage. I need a 1.34ish VCC for 445x9 IBT stable, but Im sure that I could bump up the FSB abit and stay stable. I have at least one stuck sensor too.

I want your ram. My board dosen't like 2 sets of my reapers and they dont clock well, anyways. When did you get that G.skill kit?
