Even Gigabyte's old V-Tuner had minor voltage adjustments..... :(
From my emails SOC Tuner will raise it, I will check tomorrow when the beauti arrives...
As far as I understand, the SOC ES samples support software overvolting, but the retails don't. Please, PLEASE correct me if I'm wrong.
I will let you guys know in a bit.
I'm setting up the rig & windows right now :)
Don't worry, be it hardware, be it software mods we will get the job done ;)
Nice pic RAID. Does putting it in OCmode change the max Volts??
no, i don't think so. let me double check...
edit: nope
Hey! I didn't get that app :D
Can you please send it to my e-mail or give me a link if it's available online ? ;)
Don't think it's hardlocked Pieter, the Vddci, Memory Voltage & PCI-Express voltage work just fine.
The GPU Core voltage however isn't working.
Thanks Raid...I'll check back tomorrow as I'm done for tonight. Lightning, FAIL...GB SOC not looking good, anybody know if the ASUS Matrix is wide open??
I think its all come down to the yields, which after the first few cards shipped out to get us in a lather just didn't pan out. Ratz....wanted to give ATI one more bash before flippin over to Fermi.
Good Luck tonight Bill.....
Looks like the whole GPU Core voltage thing is a mistake ( hardware engineers making changes after the software development team "finished" the application :p: ).
For the hardcore modders, there's always the Vmod, but the software will more than likely ( I'm just 98% sure, that's why I'm not using the word surely :p: ) fixed too soon ;)
That's great news Bill...ok, not getting too excited...but I've been fanging for these cards for a long time......
One way to control the GPU core voltage with a hardware mod is a VID mod.
Similar to the GTX 260 Super Overclock mod posted in the Xtreme VGA Mods on this very forum.
I'm about to check if I can find out how to control the voltage via software in a bit.
Sorry didn't do much because I had to go out to pick up my sister :D
I'm awaiting for some good news from Gigabyte, and I'm also going to try a few things in a bit.
working on it fellas
it's probably good that this version of SOC sw i have hasnt made it out yet. There are a couple of things to sort out
this new retail card seems nice :)
