Ok I will enable c3 and c6, asus recommended that to stop it from freezing but I don't think it worked. Already cleared the rtc b4, made zero difference.
Ram runs at stock and cpu is @ 4.5 with vcore of 1.320
I have pll over volt off at this setting but enabled it for 4.6+
I set my pll volt to 1.8, I don't know much about this and would like to know more especially what lowering it does and if it helps sustain a lower vcore.
My memory volt is set to 1.5v and frequency is set to 1600.
EPU is off and extreme power options on all with 350 on the vrm freq.
Now my settings are totally stable @ 4.5ghz, only problem I can't install my old x-fi pci drivers, makes the system hang, but I think that's just creatives crap drivers, I don't think it's possible to install that card on an 64 bit system.
But my concern is, if I use asus optimized defaults, my os freezes, even though I'm running 24/7 at 4.5ghz without problems, that leads me to believe I have a dud mb and I want to replace it as I think it will hamper me from acheiving higher stable oc's.
And when I install an os i want to use stock settings to ensure a reliable install, although I think it mainly freezes when it idles at stock settings.
Either way I think I'm going to rma it on Monday, I'm just not sure wheither to get a replacement or a different board, on the asus forums I read other people with freezes, there don't seem to be many experiencing it but there are also other bug's problems with this board,
I'm regretting not buying the gigabyte board that I initially wanted but the reviews were good for the asus pro.
Here is a thread about the problem on the Asus forums:

I didn't read anyone here complain about it but would love to hear from anyone experiencing freezing at stock settings with the asus P8P67 pro.
