Keep playing with VTT/Vdimm settings or maybe use another dram divider. Does the bios show all 6 GB?
Not using Vista 32bit, are you? ;)

No, VTT is the CPU's VTT voltage. Some mobo manufacturers just call it QPI voltage, but it is VTT, nothing else. DFI also calls it that in bios.
i7 processor is rated for 1066Mhz and 1333mhz DDR3 speeds.
Anything above that is NOT guaranteed, not even with memory that is rated DDR3-2000.
Anything above 1333mhz is acquired trough upping VTT and DRAM-voltages to a certain level. Each varying processor to processor.
problem: This means that NOT every processor is going to be able to run DDR3-2000 within "safe" voltages. But this is the overclockers trademark.
(BTW: Has anyone noticed that his 1.35VTT stuff is being so strictly followed, while we used to pump vCore and other "unsafe" volts trough our hardware like there was no tomorrow?)
Ah would you recommend me running the rams at 1600mhz instead, I finally got it to work at 2000mhz, but then again. i want my system to use all 6gb, not leave me with 2gb..
Current voltages 1.3125 cpu
1.710 Rams
145 v ( something else i cant remember, it had to do with cpu lol )
3.33ghz cpu
1994 ghz rams
Stupid tweaking. takes forever.. I just want my system to run its absolute best, is that so much.
Lol every 5 minutes theres a reply
Okay, I decided to ignore the Ram readings, 2gb vista reads, its vista's problem. I'm going to upgrade to win7 anyways.
I decided to leave my rams at 2000mhz, it's much faster like that anyways.
Stupid vista... ( i did update bios to latest version )
When the f does win7 come out.. I hate vista!!
1 more question : DDR2 memory on my old motherboard used voltages at 2.2V, why does ddr3 take less?
Yeah.
He doesn't seem to get it
Vista sees only 2GB because your motherboard only offers 2GB.
Your board only offers 2GB becuz you're CPU's memory controller only sees 2GB.
Your CPU's memory controller only sees 2GB becuz you're running it too fast at too low volts.
Get it?
It's not Vista's fault.
It's just your CPU that can't run at the settings you want at the volts you're putting in it.
So basicly, it's your fault.

This thread might help you, check it out.
Thanks for making me feel like S***! I hate you!!! - But thanks I'll look into that.
Okay back to topic - I was running 3ghz with 1.29v.. Is that not enough?? :(
Since my memory is suppose to be 9 9 9 24, is it okay if it like make it lower if i make my rams run at 1333, or 1600 ?
- THIS IS NOT SPAM, THIS IS HELP FORUM IS IT NOT?! ( sorry )
Uhmm.. um... err... ( Damn I'm a Tart ) ( pop tart that is )
I understood maybe 10% of what you wrote =\
In the bios i see many VTT's and its so complicated ! Im so sorry, don't beat me to death! ITS NOT MY FAULT IM NOT AS SMART AS YOU GUYS! STOP NO NO NOOOOOO!!!
Guys, Its finally working, I did what the guy told me to do, but I also moved EVERY voltage up until the red area ( danger zone i guess ) and i boot up and guess what? YES! WORKS F YEEAH!
2000mhz 9 9 9 24 6gb total
WEEEE
WEEEEEEEEE
3.33ghz 1.298v
I LOVE YOU PEOPLe
oh btw
When I go into firefox it never remembers my passwords, i went into options and made sure NOTHING is wrong. firefox sucks.
Yeah every browser has it ups and downs, Firefox might be a bit faster, but Ie8 has become a very good browser IMO.
the 8 version is much improwed and are (for me) a fast and reliable browser, in win 7 it has or VERY little failed for me in fact, all plugins are working plug and play etc.
and no, you should not keep every voltage at the red zone..
you should do as the people tell you :) . ... do this instead, now lower the voltage one by one. to safe area , then when it fails you know what and when.
cpu voltage, dimm voltage and vtt are mostly those you want to change most and tune... and that frequency on the cpu, you should not have to raise volages so much...
put those on auto, and concern about the vtt instead, and keep 0.5 range for VTT and dimm voltage.
uhhh how high did you put it? 1.5-1.6? that's near the red zone and also a bit on the high side......
1.3-1.4 vvt is consinderd the "safe" side for 24/7 use.
So keep in mind that ur pushing it :P
good luck
go 2 http://i4memory.com/f80/dfi-lanparty...n-guide-12855/ and read the whole thread :D.
Then you'll understand the basics of overclocking this board, memory and cpu. (thnx 2 eva2000)
