i am glad that you are :ROTF: seriously best line in your post no offense :p:

Fermi being faster than the 295 was always assumed to be true.
The 5870 has been benching ahead of the 295 now, so If you think the GTX 295 is 25% faster than the 5870, then I really can't continue against that kind of logic. New architecture with more than double the shaders will be very powerful, but the 5870 is also very good. The 5870 has the clockspeeds of the 4890 but twice as many shaders, but it's not twice as fast.
I'm not saying the GTX480 will be slow, it will be a great card when it finally gets released, and It will have a big advantage when more features of DX11 are used like tessellation. I'm saying that not very many games will use those right away, and by the time there are, there will be the 6000 series from ATI too.
btw, I'm sure you are not done with comments. No one quits after saying that, they always come back.
You should reread my post with what I speculate is the reason for high idles. As many people have posted too, 8 and 9 series also idle quite high. Well, anyways, this is bickering about a pointless topic. I'm more interested in finally seeing some benchmarks of this thing, of course bearing in mind that some sort of benchmark picking may take place.
Will the Fermi cards have the ability to drive more than 2 displays per card? Kinda like their version of the Eye-finity.
shadow they will but its software not hardware...and u need sli to do so..but the good is this will also be possible on previous nvidia cards as well..the bad..gaming wise the previous cards probably wont have the power to drive 3 monitors at a time..and not sure how this will scale since 1 card will drive two screens and another will drive 1 screen..unless of course u have 3 gpus, 1per screen
To true. Until there are *unbiased* reviews out, all of this rumour stuff is just that, crap.
@InCredible : Nvidia have been quoted as saying that GF100 will have hardware support for more than 2 displays. Only the current and past products will reqiure 2 + cards and the software solution.
@Chicken.... i never saw that but that would be great..ive definitely considered fermi until i read it was only software supported..i guess will have to wait and see before i make any decisions. :)
Really?

Found this

have it been posted yet??
lol at the reviews on that site
memory sizes wrong
:ROTF: One of the people who posted a review was 003.
That site is all types of awesome! Thanks for the lulz. :)
I am kind of wondering about that site if they are not just doing it for the traffic. Cause if you go in to the desktop graphics card those three nvidia cards are all they sell. Hmmmm?
470 also has 512 cuda cores and is only different in size??
I just wish some leaks were out. Really hard to tell what is BS these days.
well its not out yet, and this might be one of the reasons... power management doesnt work properly yet...
thats what nvidia told everybody... a loooong time ago :D
its not like nvidia chose to have clock limitations and no notable performance per shader boost...
ha, you will be so dissapointed :D
remember the gtx280 launch? 9800gx beat it in several benchmarks ;)
remember 5870 launch? 4870x2 beat it in several benchmarks ;)
there is no linear scaling in graphics when doubling hardware, forget it...
dear nvidia, some people in forums told me your new graphics card will suck, iis that true?
im sure it will be 2x as fast as gtx295 SLI, am i right?
Dear Noob,
Thank you for emailing us, yes, they are wrong and you are right.
