It was about Xtreme Overclocking but he uses I45 & 9800gx2 unmodded.
You should try to use this card on another board for finding the problem.

That was my next check but I got it, works fine.
most likely you do not have enough NB volts and/or Vcore.
what also could do that is having the wrong/incorrect value for CPU GTLREF and MCH GTLREF.
don't forget to experiment with CPU PLL voltage.
played around this evening with my tforce and got the max fsb little bit higher :D

good!...glad you sorted that out and "user error" is very common in this forum:D
yes sir :D
cooling that i used was my 2 stage cascade (build by piotres )

unfortunately i cant boot into windows with 10x600 or 9.5x600 :(
Intel's stock cooler
633x9 with stock ? WoW.
How are the intel's heatsink+fan so good ? The heatsink is so tiny !
I took this pictrue few days ago -

Vendetta 2 and Intel stock (came with E8400).
Is the difference so negligible in performances ?
^
ah, ok
Which cpu cooling you used for the 633x9 (last picture) ?
I did take MCH GTL Ref off of auto and tried 59 VTT. I'm still not having much success with the Patriot Viper I can get above 500 but it just doesn't feel right and the Kingston HyperX is still in my TP45 HP at 500x8 1/1.
I've now got my E8600 in my new DFI LanParty JR and I'm trying to Prime/OCCT stabilize at 533 1/1 1066 with my 4GB kit of OCZ Reaper PC2-8500.
I still think I can find what it takes to unlock those kits and I'll be back at it with the TPower I45 once I decide on what kind of new CPU I should get for my new build.
What do you mean exactly by CPU Clock Configuration? I think my problem is more related to memory/chipset/RCOMP interaction but maybe I'm not getting the CPU to mesh properly with those parameters as well.
have you tried the other memory to see if you get different results since taking MCH out of auto?
go to the 1st page of this thread and look at my settings for my E8500...i have updated the images that i had for 520 FSB...i now show the ones which got me to 550 FSB
Just got this board up tonight.
It's giving me major headaches, my QX6850 absolutely won't budge. Haven't gotten internet yet, so bios is stock. will a flash help here?
anyone have quad advice they'd like to share?
1st page, settings for QX9650 :D
well, yah saw that.
guess i haven't tried quite that much vnb..but other than that...
you need to crank the voltage UP!;)...if you worry over heat issues, put a fan on the NB.
yeh, at 1.088v BIOS is massively undervolting NB, i know. so i guess that's where i go next.
