kewl, going to try that burn-in method on my oldie K7 cpu :D .
(already tried it this night, but windows crashed (I had to overdo it, dropped the voltage 0.5V from stable instead of 0.25V :slap: )
I have a CPU burn session going now. 2940 @ 1.52v. This requires 1.60 for 12+ hr prime stability, Hoping to be able to run 2940 @ 1.52v with some burn in time.
I will report back. At 1.52v the most that has been prime stable is 290 x 10.
you guys got some really low temps for such high vcore and high speeds. Are the readings correct?
Nah most one water but room temp for me is hot 31C heh
Going to do the same cpuburn K7 for my 3.1ghz at 1.536v opteron 146 later waiting on new PCI-E card today for the rig :)

well guys, seem like it'll take more time than i expected for my opty to do 2916@1.60 vcore. I got BSOD after burnk7 for 4 hours. So it may require 1.62-1.64 to be stable. Will try it later.

but as for this moment i'm very happy with my opty 165@2880@1.57 vcore, went down from 1.64 :D :D
Can i use this for my Intel Xeon Prestonia? I want to get to a 100% oc, i am at 90% been like that for a few months now.

Nice job on your 165@2880@1.57v nop, you too eva :toast: . I'm interested to see how both your numbers will develop. As it turns out my core0 seems weaker than my core1. It's odd that core0 will fail on a dual prime95 (w/ affinity's), but pass when prime95 is only run on it and not the other core...? :confused:
Not trying to thread-jack, but I thought my input would compliment the #'s already posted. To date, the highest settings I can run Prime95 in successfully are 285HTT@1.500v and 290HTT@1.550v (voltages are taken from Bios, not CPU-Z).
In the pic you can see my specs; I'm so loving this sub $325 dual core, 1MB cache per core goodness :D . I really would like (and believe) I can get to 2.7 or maybe 2.8 stable (and even higher if possible), so I'm currently using CPU-Burn K7 on both cores to burn in while I'm away during the day, and late at night. I just burned in for about 14 hours straight, so I'm hoping after a bit of tweaking I can boost my numbers stated above. Here's a screenie of my burn in and computer specs:

I didn't burned my opty@2880 with 1.35 vcore, and hope it would stable. I burned@my stable vcore, which in my case's 1.64v., then slowly reduced vocre till it reached 1.57v. and tried untill it's stable.
As for my adventure to get my opty@2916, i got BSOD from time to time when burnk7. However, first prime,before burned, failed on core1 within 5 sec. second prime core1 failed after 16 mins. and third prime it failed after 40 mins. That development was not based on burnk7 to 8 hours. since i got BSOD around 1-2 hours. First burnk7@2916 my vcore's 1.64 around 1 hours. before BSOD (one that failed in 16 mins.) Second burned@1.60v. (failed in 40 mins.)
At this point, i'm not sure whether i should continue my adventure to get my opty@2916 since i got BSOD before completed 8 hours of burnk7.
BTW, considerring going from 1800Mhz. stock to 2880Mhz. (almost 1100Mhz. gain for free) is quite huge development. plus I got it with less vcore, then less heat.
May be i'll try to get my opty@2880@1.55v. :)
