Very nice! same batch as Chri$ch.

Stop jerking around with prime,my 2500k needs 1.336 to 5.0GHZ prime,but 1.38 to linx with avx 64-bit.Thats full stability,not prime ;)
Starting to like this board after all. My only wish is if they could have implemented a divider for 2200MHz memory.

All results updated, keep them coming !!
Collecting thread is up here lads : SB FPO Batch DATA collecting thread
I'm actually considering 2500K, I don't really need HT. I'll be sure to post my results when I get them, but SP1 for Win7 hasn't been released yet so perhaps a lot of the Linpack problems stem from lack of AVX support. Even disregarding that, I'm fairly sure that the speed path is in the decode stage, so I think real world apps may be the best determinant of stability. Cinebench or x264 comes to mind.
Jesus, 140shy Gflops - this is ridiculous
so glad to hear you say that. I've been using cinebench to benchmark, but I'm also using Lightwave 3D 9.6 to test as well. I have a scene that used to take 20 minutes to render, now it's 15. When I'm not stable the renderer will crash my machine. I've given up on prime95, seeing as I can pass Linx using all memory and my worst case render test. I think based on what you've said, I'll add an x264 encode to the resting regimen as well.
I was saying from the beginning that something was fishy with prime95 on the Sandy Bridge.
Thanks for your input on this, I appreciate it.
I'm really starting to wonder where people are getting SP1. I heard if you were an MSDN member that you could get it, but it hasn't been rolled out to my computer yet.
The performance effect of AVX is really quite amazing, but as Anand's SNB Architecture Review says, AVX is able to take advantage of the SIMD INT units for FP ops. This effectively doubles the performance you would've seen with SSE only, as linpack is an FP-heavy load and does not use much integer math. This lines up with a lot of the LinX screenshots we've seen from other members at the same frequency with no SP1.
i7-1600K
Batch: L040B165
Highest overclock
Highest Clock: 5.5Ghz @ 1.55v in Bios with LLC Level 1
Additional info: Stable enough to run Super PI 1M and 32M, crashed on Prime 95 small FFT's after 2 minutes. My guess is it require slightly more Vcore.
24/7 100% stable overclock:
4.5Ghz with 1.265v LLC level 1
Adittional info: 9 hours Prime 95 Small FFT's stable.
i also managed to boot at every multipler from stock to 55. I have not tried to go higher due to the current uncertaintity about maximum voltages ect...

I got mine via a torrent listed on the official download page tho, can't find it right now.
I'm pretty sure I saw a microsoft link for it...I'll see if I can find it again.
Think I found it: http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/e...displaylang=en
It is still RC.
I guess I'll wait for March before I get my SNB then lol (the fact that I get my bonus that month may have a hand in that decision as well.)
playing now with 2600k first impression stock cooler is crap just after loading the windows i have 50c-53c if i wait 10 min the temp fall back to 35 c (room temp) , now 5 pass intelburnin test gives 78c
I picked up a C batch 2500K close to Alex-Ro's chip. Mine is L041C123 and it seems to be a decent clocker. Initial testing... WPrime 1024M but I'm also posting a LinX run in the official SB FPO Batch list. TP67XE and Noctua NH-U12P with push/pull.

Looks like you got a very good chip, Congrats!!
Hello:)
My first screnn with my great chip L040B307. I have so many test to run so first linx stable 4500mhz with 1.25vcore in bios.

You guys need to run SP1 with AVX,otherwise linx is futile ;)
Stability is in the eye of the beholder ;)
I hear what you are saying but even with SP1/AVX I think we will still be stable with either more vcore or less speed......
SP1 is still @ RC so LinX is what it is until SP1 is officially out, your comment appreciated as it is basically condemns the likes of my old E8500 prime stable results as unstable just because LinX came out & it wouldn’t run at Prime voltage........ but it still ran with more vcore.
I'm not having a go just making a comment :)
SP1 is still beta and those screenshot are made just to prove that ours chips are good. Ofcourse u r right saying that linx is not futile but still if i can make all benchmarks at 5ghz + linx so this is for me a stabillity:) Im benching 20hours and didnt saw any blue screen:) I will make any good stablility bench wich u will advice after ill change my 1600cl7 mems to better ones:)
SP1 went gold a few days ago.
Well stability regarding, can i consider my 5525 stable, since it passes all benches at 1.48 vcore? :D

1.5v was needed in order to run application . 1.45 @ 5 ghz result in lock up .
Also i have Asus P67 pro motherboard with 1004 bios . i was unable to get over 4.6 ghz no matter at what voltage . note 4.5 GHz is fine with 1.25v , i update the bios to the latest beta and enabled CPU PLL over-voltage then welcome 5 GHZ :D
Under water , do not make sense to overclock this processor with stock cooler (load 68c)
Just ordered a L042B076, any info ?
Frack!!! ASUS P8P67 came in DOA from Newegg gotta RMA.
Won't be posting any results for at least a week for my L040B671 i5-2500k...
My Pro died in 1 day.

I got UD5 and 2600K but every now and then when i shut down and want to boot up later on, it says the clocks have failed but the system is rock solid at Prime95 for hours... So annoying.
bro2000: its with SP1 win7? GFloops looks now good :)
Yeah windows Supreme custom made with SP1 Build in!
Here a 5Ghz 1.35v LinX stable and Intelburn stable using all the memory have got and the higest setting!
http://img834.imageshack.us/img834/6...61tlinx135.png
Are you guys tweaking anything else besides vCore and Internal PLL overvoltage for the 5GHz OCs?
Have found abit lower CPU PLL helps say 1.75v!
Got a L042b291 2500k from Oc Microcenter with the Asus Pro but still waiting on my Noctua from Amazon and ram from Newegg. Search the net and nobody has this batch.
WOW nice, you on water?
Glad to help!Hope everything goes well! Have found memory plays a key part 2!
I got my i5 2500k yesterday with the same batch as Alex-Ro and it is very nice! :D 5ghz stable ~1.33-1.34v and benchstable at 5.1ghz same volt, will try to lower the pll and see how it goes. Could I lower the pll to say 1.6v ? Is it just dangerous to raise it?
awesome Bro!

4.9GHz full LinX stable 1.392v load
nice tool, you should be hitting around 1.4 @ 5ghz seems like its the average with most Sb chips.. Anyone got 5.0ghz under 1.35 ?
What run does it usually crash at?? Try 1.35 ht off ? u using 4c/8t?
I prefer using 4c/8t am happy at 5Ghz 1.35v! Am testing 5.1Ghz 1.35v now! Run 14 Hard lock up! Notice thou on my 2600k that 1.65V Cpu Vtt Help ocing! Have got some new memory coming at the weekend hopefully that could help! 4GB G.Skill DDR3 PC3-17600 Cas7 2200MHz RipjawsX!
You dont have to run your memory that high though, thats whats causing your huge amounts of VTT, 1.65 is way to much dude imo.. 5.1 @ 1.35 is very nice one of the best i've seen imo, if its locking up bump voltage up a bit more.. i can see it stablizing very soon..
Cpu Vtt undervolted at 1.65v intel spec it to be 1.80v Default!
Wow 1.65v? Dinos board had no where near that vtt..
:shakes: no way that's average mate. Keep in mind that the ones listed here are usually the good ones... most inferior results will NOT see the daylight on this forum
I need 1.52Vcore for 5ghz stability, far too much too my liking... benches 3D at 5.2 at the same volts
It's probably PLL(not Vtt).
Abit more progress with 1.35v 5.05Ghz LinX stable and Intelburn with improved timing on memory and abit higher Freq!
http://img534.imageshack.us/img534/2...7261tlinx1.png
Mine does 4.9 with 1.392 but needs a couple bumps for 5.0. Hoping a BIOS update will help out and I still am learning the platform so more stability might be possible higher up, haven't tried dropping PLL voltage yet. Just reinstalled Win7 with SP1 so now I can get back to clocking.
i have installed SP1 for Windows 7 but still i have low Gflops...
Disable HT and get latest linpack ;)
Why do i have to turn off ht?
Linpack gives less GFlops with HT enabled. The number of GFlops is irrelevant as long as the system is stressed properly, though...
I don't have SB so I can't comment on that. Using SP1?
I know that all previous CPUs run much hotter with HT enabled during LinX stress test.
You don't need to disable HT , just use IntelBurn test and select 4 threads when testing stability and max temps. Here i did a quick run for you guys , HT is enabled one run is 4 thread produces much higher temps and stresses cpu more , below run is with 8 threads temps don't even reach 80c.
SP1 + IntelBurn + merged with latest linpack module.
http://img842.imageshack.us/img842/9364/29660516.jpg
True,linx + AVX 4 threads=most stressfull test.better than prime ;)
Agreed!!!
My new 2500k at 4.9 ghz is linx stable (20 runs, all memory used) and OCCT stable (4 hr run) on a vcore of 1.385. I haven't tried downloading SP1 yet.
However, I'm still not prime95 v26.4 stable yet with a vcore of 1.410.
Has anyone tried some real world apps like handbrake or some cpu intensive games on their linx stable (but not prime95 stable) voltages? I'm wondering if I need to keep increasing vcore to achieve prime stability in order to prevent errors in real applications (especially handbrake encoding).
Also, has anyone compared their prime95 v26.4 stable vcore to their linx stable vcore using SP1, AVX 4, and the new linpack modules? If so, could you post your values? I'm curious which needs more juice (and how much more) for stability.
I'll try handbrake tonight on my linx stable but not prime95 stable vcore and see what happens.
You are right guys, this method is more stressfull. Still my 4500mhz 1.25(in bios) is linx stable:) I have changed to 4threads in linx options and i had 4c more temps than with 8 threads.

Yes, I've been stalemated by the prime95 issue since Jan 9th. :-)
I have a test scence that I setup for Lightwave 3D that on my I7-920 took over 20 minutes to render. On the 2600K it takes only 15 minutes but during that time all 8 threads are fully loaded and alot of heat is generated (not as much as linx + avx).
My stability test is now IBT + SP1 + AVX, Vantage, then 3 or 4 Lightwave renders. No BSODs and I've got to call it good. At some point it seems as tho the machine is stable and prime95 will never get enough voltage.
Just installed a new Windows 7 with SP1 and a new BIOS. Previous LinX stable voltages are NOT stable now, and heats up significantly more.
But 2500K @ 4.9 and garbage memory speed/timings (1600-CAS 9, ignoring RAM till CPU is 5.0 stable again) is pushing 130+GFlops.
I got a bad batch of i7 2600K: L041B202
4.9Ghz HT ON @ 1.476v load
http://i458.photobucket.com/albums/q...00K/49LinX.jpg
Currently testing 5Ghz 1.35v in Linx with 4Core 4 Threads and its getting there half way through now average 135GFlops!
5Ghz 1.36v in bios! Linx stable and intelburn Stable with High GFlops!
http://img510.imageshack.us/img510/6...61tlinx135.png
bro20000 u sure do have a great chip there mate!
Seems motherboards and BIOS versions do too! T_T
Updated to the latest 1253 BIOS and now 4.9 no longer turns off after an hour.
Hopefully I won't fall sleep before this test finishes so I can update it with a full 20 loop LinX screenshot :)
Has anyone had to tweak with the short/long power limit settings? Maybe on this new version the AUTO is more aggressive.
http://www.zhoulander.com/projects/sandy/4900-test.png
thanks mate! Have got some more results with even lower Vcore coming! Am getting weird results in temps thou! Core 1 70c Core 2 83c Core 3 80c core 4 78c
Am not sure if my waterblock is on perfect to get a 13c difference from core 2! Has anyone else used this thermal compound IC Diamond 24-Carat!
Anybody has tried to play with OCing a H67? I'm trying to find a small mini-ITX, and I came across a little cute monster, a ZOTAC H67ITX-A-E, but that's a H76.
I'm wondering if there is chance to fool it and OC the CPU. maybe some kind of software could push it in W7?
I know it's a tricky question, but anybody got any tips about OCing a 2006k on a H67?
