thanks dude
no still don't test single mode
cl10 and 9 is same on this kit 2850 is the IMC limit not mem :yepp:

Hiwa is it possible to test on REX?
tks
edit: i got a set commin in we shall find out soon
I dont think its the i530. I think its i530 on that pos board. gd65 is good for lynn
chuck that gd65 in the trash and do do yourself a favor and get a ud6 or cheap biostar h55 board. clarksdale is crap on gd65 eveb with the beta bios. 1.73/1.72 etc.
I couldnt get mine past 200 blck. maybe you get lucky. I have 2 kits of evo cas 7 and on ud6 atm. what bios is the best for clarks and evo on ud6? im on f7 bios.
Did anyone try these kits in Tri-channel already?
Have seen a 1600 Tri-kit.
No review yet.
gd65+i5 750 works perfectly with these rams though
I am definitely looking for a better board, but in the near future ;)
So far I dont see any clarkdale doing crazy ram speeds
Any comments on that?
***please excuse my english :(***
youre english is excellent my friend. No apology needed. I need you guys to all know I went from the elpida high v stuff from last year on x48/rampage extreme to AMD am2 during the summer during the whole "hey look amd can oc really high again (x2 550be 965c3 etc. buzz) then I found out the hard way that sb750 just sucks for anything else. raid performance /ram / etc etc. I just got back into intel about a month ago and sold all my amd crap except the 5850 ;)
now my 1st reunion with intel has all been clarks on p55 and i get the h55 boards on monday. the only kit after I sold all the d9 and elpida kits are only these evo cas 7 kits. I need to get some a good decent 2x2gb kit that worked like d9 did on core2. what should I be looking at? no offence but 9- and 10 timings regardless of speed at $300 for a 2x2 kit doesnt sound groundbreaking. maybe im old fashioned and thinking back to bh5 days and good d9 kits. am I missing something here? do ram companies just keep laxing the timings and programming the spd at higher speeds and throwing a fan and some useless heatspreaders on the kits and sell them for 300 bux now? this is getting outta control. I know it takes time and money to bin these but there needs to be a point when you just have a kit that does it all and let the end user bin them and try to get the best out of them. thats what most of us are looking for. just buy a bunch of good ics that do it all and get a good deal on them and pass the savings to the end user buy a crap load of them and start with some settings to start out at 8-8-8- 2000 1.6v or something close to that. make a thread on your gskill site that shows different cas / and speed combos and how to get the best from it. marketing is great and all and youre in this to make money but is this really necessary? I'm sorry, I dont mean to rain on anyones parade and we all work hard and the gskill guys are very nice guys. I just think we need to go back to the basics.
best kit i've had so far doin 1928mhz 6-8-6-24 stable on rampage extreme
gonna test on evga p55 ftw soon
4GB @ 960MHz CAS6 stable on REX is breathtaking, great kit dude!
How about CAS7, can it do more than ~1060MHz ?
Gskill Powa :D
only 2:12 divider workin with evga ftw wirth this kit?
am i setting vtt too low @ 1.32
i can run 2200 cas7 @ 183blk
but no go @ 200blk @ 2000mhz lol
i can pass memtest even @ 2300 cas7 but anything other than 2:12 diverder i get blue monster
well i got her runnin 2344 cas9 for now
but u rather do 2100 cas7 lol
Unless you can get 2:12 ........ there's not much fun with this kit :(
Well at least for a noob like me :(
@zsamz_
i got similar prob on asusp55ws with i7 750 but with cpu-multi.
with multi 21 no go above 1920mhz(no matter cl)
with multi 19 = ok
but i think you already tried everything
:yepp:
i know the memory can do 2300 cas7 but not on 2:12 well i havent gone higher than 1.65 yet
i think i gonna put the set on rex cause its a waste on p55 with 2:12 when any other set i gave gives better results with other dividers
hopefully i get some time off to play soon
New pics up
I think im going to stop with this RAM until MSI can provide a better-supporting BIOS. I get the nagging feeling im doing something wrong and G.Skill deserve better than an "irrelevant" review because I can only run the kit out-of-warranty

Will these work effectively on an AMD platform?
Well Impressed with this memory just trying it on Asus P6X58D Premium here my results up to now!

nice 2000 6-9-6  what about vdimm?
1.66Vdimm!
nice
Just cant go any higher now when clocked to 2000Mhz my NB clocks are 4000Mhz thats my limit what ever i do it crashs to go any higher!
These are some pretty nice sticks (vdimm @ 1.72v)
2550mhz @ cas7 sure does look nice
http://i103.photobucket.com/albums/m...odom/14768.jpg
 crazy nice sticks you got there man
2550 Cl7 is awsome, Aircooling?
How do these compare to the F3-18400CL8D-4GBPIS? I'm buying one of them tomorrow, gotta decide which one.
:) I 'm curious about it as well. Havnet seen any review about it. I was going to order the 2400MHZ CL9 kits, but it is a little bit shortage right now. I 'm also thinking which one I should go, maybe 2300 MHz just can go higher frequency.
they based on same IC
2400 are handpicked from Gskill or .... laboratory ;) between a lot of PSC ICs
:) I agree with it. Even they are made of the same IC, but higher spec means special binned IC. I think 2400mhz kits should be really good binned IC. G.Skill and Patriot just released 2500Mhz kits, but haven't seen any review or post about it yet.
Hey!
I am testing right now these sticks:
http://www.gskill.com/products.php?index=257&c1=1&c2=3
Platvorm is:
AMD X6 1055T
Gigabyte 790FXTA-UD5
2x2GB G.Skill 2300MHz CL8
And these stick dont like CL6 and CL7.
800MHz CL7 is max, even 850MHz CL7 donät boot.
I tried 1.65v- 1.72V and no help.
Then I put in these cruical rams:
http://www.crucial.com/store/partspe...=BL12864TN1608
And 800MHz CL6 no problem.
So these G.skill 2300MHz rams are not elpida?
Max voltage for them?
I hoped that these bad boys can do 900MHz CL6.
Vdimm don't help you
here is a quick test on AMD
http://www.xtremesystems.org/forums/...d.php?t=234689
,2200 don't goes well on AMD platform, you need hyper or Micron or wait for new Flare kit can run 2000 7-9-7 :yepp:
mine canīt go higher than 1700 CL797 1,65V on AMD plaform (790X + 965BE). More Vdimm on this sticks donīt help as Hiwa say :)
D9GTS can go 1800 CL6 on AMD... But 2,3V :D

Thanks for the fast reply.
Is Vdimm = DRAM voltage:rolleyes:
Other Timming settings needed to be adjusted as well?
yes Vdimm = Dram voltage
no you don't need anyother sub setting, try just +1 on tWL ;)
Looks like 2 x 2gb kit are much more easy to tame than 4 x 2gb kit!!!!
I still have trouble to stable this setup at Prime.
yeah. in 2200MHz, the system can only hold up to 1.5 hours before one worker stopped at Prime
maybe I need a liquid hydrogen cooling system for the cpu and rams
what are your voltages to get it stable at 2000MHz?
and timings should be set from CL7-10-10-28 (both channels) to ??
stable at 2040MHz and cpu speed at 4.08GHz with CL7-10-10-28 stock timmings.
try to push up to 2050MHz with 4.10GHz but no luck.
Any good suggestions?
vtt 1.42
cpu 1.30
dram 1.66
pch 1.05
pll 1.86
you are in very good point at 2040
leave it there, trust me ;)
2100MHz!!!
Seems like a long way to go
your voltage settings please :D
need to find the right voltage balance for 7-9-8-26!
not yet to success!
tried few times and have bunch of BLUE SCREEN OF DEATH!
btw, what mobo are you using?
i like this memory
2807mhz@cl8-11-11-31
everything on AIR
these PSC's right?
yes
when u see +2 on tRCD VS CL means it's PSC thought on all memories
Welcome back hiwa ;)
Forget the past and move on, you are stil ûber skilled... plus my girlie still likes you :p
thanks guys
i play with 3 X 4gb Tridents soon, will update kingpin thread.
Stay tuned
 Good to see our memory guru is back. You are always very helpful
welcome back hiwa jan:up::welcome::toast::party::YIPPIE::bounces:
hiwa you have always been cool to me. while you were out I started to mess with the pi 7 kit. I have 2 sets of 2gbx2. I haven't taken the time to see which are the best sticks. but what should I expect on a clarksdale 655k and no special cooling on the ram, just ln2 on the cpu. This is what I got while you were out. (no os tweaks) i think ram volts were around 1.68v in the gigabyte itx contest. Im just trying to figure out what these are capable of so I can start somewhere. can you guys bring me up to date? I dont feel like reading 11 pages.
http://hwbot.org/competition/gbt_h55_mitx scroll to the bottom. that was on these sticks.
hiwa, nice to see u.. mem section is so empty without u :)
hi all :)
will this kit fit my 2600K?
I have Super talent 2200 CL8-8-8-24
but I think sandy don't like elpida chips
It will all depend on your motherboard on UD5/7 I can run 2133CL7 at 1.7, 2200 CL8 at 1.7; on M4E I need 1.72Vdimm... on the other Asus boards I own Hypers just don't work properly over 1866 divider... ( I can run them 1866CL6 at 1.65Vdimm all day, for 2133Mhz CL8 it's not even stable at 1.76Vdimm)
Purely bios related...
my hypers can run 2133 8-8-8-24 1T on P867 Deluxe B3, i feel lucky.. coz i try 3 board P67 deluxe, only one that can run with my Hyper :(
http://img844.imageshack.us/img844/5066/corsairl.jpg
For the hyper issues on some boards, the sticks aren't up to it. I have 6 GTX 2 sticks and only 4 of them run at 2133 CL7-7-7-21 on the Dlx B2 board, the other ones even fail at 7-8-7...(while that works on M4E and UD5/7) It's all up to good sticks ( no matter what they did on other platforms, SB is different ) as some do it at 1.68Vdimm, other ones need 1.72
soon or later we get bios from asus with "better memory compatibility"
Pulled these out of retirement to play on Sandy Bridge and P67.
Currently over 45min stable Prime95 x64 i5-2500k @ 4.8ghz, 7-10-7-27 74 1T DDR3 2133 1.65v.
Passed an hour stable.
My sticks must be inferior chips - doesn't like tRCD 9 at 2133 - has to be 10
maybe they are psc ?
i found these on ebay... 150 each stick :(
EDIT... nvm i see the difference... my bad
mine :) (cpu@ stock for now)

hiwa had some 7-10-7 that could do 6-7-6... doesn't work for me @ 1.65v :(
using bios 1598... set vdimm to 1.65v exactly, full phase enabled ocp disabled... my real voltage seems to stay @ 1.66v,even sometimes when not @ load... it only reverts to 1.6501v when started from a cold boot though.
http://img813.imageshack.us/img813/4413/1006204.jpg
Try boot up @ 2133 6-9-6-24 with 1.76Vdimm and 1.14Vcsa
Hey did they change the IC on this kit? As i just got a kit and it reads 17600cl7d-4gbpis i see this kit was released back in P55 days, and on the package it says P67. you guys think its the same stuff or an IC change?
you sure?
mine came in the typical brown gskill box.. upper right hand corner there is a bluish green sticker that says "Engineered specifically for intel core i7 860/870 cpus" no p67.
Don't have pic of box, but here is a pic of the stick
http://img99.imageshack.us/img99/4623/1006203.jpg
Same?
Can you check if it does 7-9-7 because mine and it seems alot of others here can't... they can only do 7-10-7... tRCD has problems going down to 9... but they scale very well in frequency
if it can do 7-9-7 with rated volts, then ic might be different
I think you have to have pretty strong sticks to pull off 2133+ 7-9-7...
My 2133 7-10-7 kit has no problem doing 2000 7-9-6, at least on AMD.
my gskill 7-10-10 2200 can do 7-10-7 2250MHz fine and dandy, but cannot do 7-9-7 2133. Weird thing is that i have dominator gt 8-9-8 which can do 7-9-7 2133 just fine with 1.65v, but i need to loosen timings to 9-10-9 for 2250MHz (or of course increase voltage)
gskill 2250

dominator gt 2250

Dominator gt 2133 7-9-7

:shrug::shrug:
Don't be shy with voltage....
I jolted (for benching) my 2133 C8 Gskill with 1.75 for 2100 7-9-6-20 on AMD 990X whereas it benched @ 2222 6-9-6-24 with 1.82Vdimm on Intel P67
i was planning to test all my ram with 1.7+ volts but my maximus broke and now i have to wait for rma :(
1.82 ok for benching on p67? no dead chips you've experienced?
will be running chiller @ -20C only. ai tweak says -4C, but k probe by the block does say -17 to -11C at load
how do you guys think cmgtx3 will do when compared to these (specifically my kit above) i just bought some and in the process of selling these
which is better binned you think?
Powerchips are hard to predict, specs don't say much if the timings are rated at 9-11-9-27. My PIS kits both won't do 1070 7-9-7-24 at 1,65V, one does 7-9-9-24 as it is TRP-limited and not TRCD at these frequecies, both go up to bclk limit at 1150+ with 7-10-9-27 respectively 7-10-7-27 with 1,65v and less. So everything will show at testing, I prefer BBSE or hyper on SB anyway
http://www.abload.de/thumb/g.skill22...15216597e7.jpg http://www.abload.de/thumb/g.skill22...10-911ppp3.jpg http://www.abload.de/thumb/kit210687...32m162c3qv.jpg
mine seems to be entirely tRCD bound up to 1125 which is my current chip's blck wall.
it can do 7-10-7 with 1.65v. I do prefer bbse over psc, but the only ones i can find are the gskill trident 9-9-9 2000 ones. Do you think those are better than these psc chips?
and i've gone through 4 sets of hyper kits with no luck yet with getting them stable @ stock volts :( Still waiting for a gtx2 to pop up... linuxfan had adata 8-8-8 2200 but he caught me at a bad time (no money)
Itīs pretty hard to find good mems for SB, bad compability especially with hyper-ics and eol on nearly all good oc-ics and mems make things even harder. I has two sets of trident 2000 and one of ripjaw 2000 C9, all ran acceptbale, the ripjaws doing 1070 7-9-7, the trident 2000 dual doing 1095 7-9-7 and on the trident triple two sticks went above 1140 7-9-7 and one stopped at 1130 7-9-7 at 1,65V, all scaling with higher voltage. So itīs hard to predict hoe these will run, but all were good SB rams, even my 1600 C6-7-6 trident run easy above 1110 7-9-7-20. As I also have two sets of RipjawX 2133C8 which do 7-9-7 up to bclk-limit (1150 ram) with less than 1,65v and a couple of hyper kits that run on mini-asus as well as on ud5 I stopped testing a while ago, so thatīs all that I can say about memory on this awful and bugged platform^^
i had a two sets of 4gb trident 2000c9 they did 9-9-9 24 1100 @ 1.65v and i couldn't get cas down to 7 at anything 2k, but i think that had to do with the fact that i ran them with an evga p67 ftw which has memory issues.
Now as soon as my mive comes back from rma..
might grab me another set again.
thanks websmile.
EDIT: hopefully x79 will be better, i just wonder how quad channel will overclock..
i hope that memory compatibility issues will be fixed if and once ib comes out for 1155
