Your so close to 1M WR;) can't you run any timming on your mem lower?Is it already totally tweaked?If you bring up the frequency and the efficiency a little you'll have the WR:D

UNless he could find a DDR3 motherboard that could that kind of FSB:),timmings real tight but maybe with a little more vdimm it might be possible(if he tries:up:)

At first pifast.
I succeeded for 634 X 9.5=15.69s, but failed in a save.:(
I used P965 Strap Tweker. However, 1coreBoot does more loss of time than 2coreBoot in pifast.
To my regret, this E8500 can show a performance only in 1coreBoot.:(
I checked that was able to run it to 642 X 9.5 on that day with eyes.
As for super-pi,
I checked that I could run 642×9.5 on that day. I did not save it and did not use P965 Strap Tweker.
The OS is slow winXP not server 2003, because I did not aim at a record on that day. I checked a performance of some E8500s which bought newly recently.
So I have E8500 of the high performance than this E8500, I am going to aim at a record in the near future. But I will not use P965 Strap Tweker.
It is very effective in Pi first and Pi-8M, but there is not the so big effect in 1M. Besides, clock is hard to go up.
M/B and memory are important not a CPU.:yepp:

I don't yet see whether WR is possible in E8500 which I used this time,
but it seems that 7.4 or 5s is certain if I try it with a purpose as super-pi even if I do not use Strap Tweker.
I intend to make score better a little.:)

It is always LN2 so that massman says.
I want to try it at low Multiplier, but ram reaches the limit earlier from a limit of COMMANDO. I saw 675MHz in x6 before.
If LN2 remains, I try it!

Finally 6.3GHz wall is broken :clap:, duck-san one little question how do u control temperature, you are pouring ln2 by hand or u are using some pressure mechanism?

The key for good result by my experience is temperature control on CPU, especially if u want to squeeze last mhz on the long run. U need it to be stable as a rock :), pouring skilz is good but it is much better with low pressure, especially if the pot is fast responsive. My is a fortunately or not really fast , pour a spoon of ln2 and it can jumps from -145C to -155 in two-three seconds, very good for cold boot problems very bad for stable temperature :(

Out of curiosity.....duck-san....how does you wonderful CPU clocks on air? How much voltage does it need for 4Ghz? I just want to test a theory of mine :)

I adjust the point drop by drop after -160C.
And I spend 1 hour 30 minutes on setting of pot.

If keep on cool it immediately or cooling it; a cold tapir occurs.
Some coldbug occur if cool it immediately or keep on cooling.
When the system down, I remove pot and when the system works, I use LN2.
