afaik they still have D9GMH
I don't know if you saw it, but in the thread about the OCZ PC2-6400 Flex XLC CAS 3 Andy from OCZ confirmed that the chips used on the modules are Elpida. Maybe you can add them.

I've The discontinue Dominator 6400C4D but this revision 1.2 in ramlist tis IC's is D9GMH Handpicked,
i can run 1000 4-4-4-4, 1066 4-4-4-4 on 2.25v and 2.3v in max cas 4 it's kick only 540 @2.45v:)
is it these stick good or not for standard D9GMH perfomance?
Are OCZ PC2-8000 XTC Platinums still using D9? Seems like Apacer is using ProMOS for PC2-8500.... I didn't think ProMOS was capable of those speeds?
afaik OCZ uses only D9 on all memory at PC2-8000 and above
Yes, they should be.
It's possible given the right circumstances and IC quality. Higher latencies and a boost in Vdimm, et cetera.Quote:

That is correct.
Was already told, that Mushkin isn't using D9GMH anymore on the HP2-6400 Modules?
In Germany some guys got Promos. I think my HP have also Promos.
And here a thread of the Mushkin-forum.
Last week I' bought 2x1 GB Kit ADATA 800+ extreme sticks packed in black plastic package, on my P-35 DS3 mobo i can run at 960 5-4-4-10, but problem is that its not stable at CAS 4 at 2.1 V increasing voltage not help, I try 2.4, is that BIOS :( issue or stick does'nt contain Micron chips?
They use D9GMH, unlabeled Micron and AFAIK Promos.
*revives thread*
I have a question about the Micron ICs, being that on your website (@ r00n) you stated that the Micron D9 ICs are 10x10mm (1x1cm). I have a set of Mushkin SP2-6400's (the newer revision though, not yet listen on your website), which has 1x1cm ICs, as well as the set of A-Data Value DDR2-800 CL5 that I have here. I am rather new to DDR2 RAM overclocking, and I am able to run 4-3-3-8 on the A-Data's @ 2.35Vdimm. Are those Microns? I'll get pics up in a second :)
[Edit] Sorry for the shoddy picture quality :(
The Mushkins:

The A-Datas (running in my system):

KHX8500D2K2/2G
5.0-5-5-15 @ 2.2V
Micron D9GKX (B6-25E)
is this correct? got from DDR2 RAM list.
i got a 2GB kit of these and they are very nice.
still dont know the max of my kit, but 1100 at least at CAS5 with 2,1V (AM2 x2 4000+ at 2750vcore default)
No, in case of Micron only B6-x ICs are 10x10mm (D9GMH, D9GKX, etc.). For more information check my Micron DDR2 IC Info page.
I can tell you the ICs on the picture of the A-Data memory are definitely not Micron (they look very much like ProMOS), but the picture of the Kingston module is way too blurry.Quote:

If it has the same kind of ICs as the A-Data they too are not Micron. You could compare them to the photos on my Various DDR ICs page.
thx r00n,,
first of all congratz for the ram lists. i've looked at them lots of times and its very useful for me and lots of people.:) :)
i´m reading some posts where in some 8500 kits of other brands they are using Promos, so maybe kingston did the same. also i heared about DDR2 new ICs that nedd 1,8V for 1066Mhz
i think my kit is D9 for sure, maybe GKX or GMH, i dont really mind, im very happy with them. now running 1000MHz 5-4-4-12 at 2,0V, maybe they need less voltage or i can tighten timmings. this is for 24/7
Team's DDR2 1200modules use GMH or GKX chips?
I've a question, in the list the Buffalo Select Sereis is marked with Micron D9 chips, is this still fact?
And then, here in germany I can find only Buffalo Select Series with this serials:
D2U800C-1G/BJ
D2U800C-1GA
but in the list it's
D2U800CZ-1GMDJ
Hmm, how is the chance to get D9 on these ?

What do You think, what IC's is this:
http://img137.imageshack.us/img137/9454/microngl5.jpg
I think it's D9HNL? Dimensions are 8x12mm, memory is Crucial Rendition 2Gb 667 (RM25664AA667.16FE).
Hey R00n!
Maybe you can help us and identify the chips used on this Crucial Ballistix 8500 kit: http://www.xtremesystems.org/forums/...d.php?t=176432
( New revision )
You got a PM btw... ;)
If the dimensions are indeed 8x12mm then it can't be D9HNL, because those are 8x11.5mm.
8x12mm means it's a BP-chip, so it's a relatively old Micron IC (ie. D9CHJ, D9CHL, D9CHM, D9CZM, D9DPN, D9DPQ, etc.).
Thanks, I posted a message in the thread you mentioned.
@ r00n - I've been reading your DDR2 List webpage, and have a question - why are some Micron chips red or green or black? what do those designations mean?
I'm looking for new RAM, and those answers will certainly help in my decision making. thanks :)
I will try to answer the question on behalf of Ronald.
The red ICs are of the older Micron chips family, the good ones were referred to as fatbodies, but those are now discontinued.
The black ICs are the chips that are not of special interest for us overclockers because they don't clock extraordinary.
Finally, the green ones are the chips you should look for, because these are very good for overclocking as they scale well with the applied voltage.
If you're looking for some 24/7 RAM, you should also take into consideration the 2x2GB kits using Powerchip that were announced lately. Just have a look in the RAM section!
I have nothing to add to the above. That is indeed what the colors mean. :)
About a year ago I changed the layout of my ramlists. The older version had a description at the bottom of the page explaining the colors, but I decided to remove it because it had already been there for such a long time I assumed it was clear to everyone.
thx for the very easy to understand breakdown, Don_Dan :)
I'm new-ish to the enthusiast side of things, and the first time I saw your RAM list page was probably 6 months ago. excellent page, and thank you for producing and updating it. :)Quote:

Hey Ronald!
I just bought a kit of Supter Talent T1000UX2G5 as some reviews stated they use D9GKX. Can you confirm that?
In addition, I received the Micron value RAM about which I talked to you some time ago, I will post picture and some tests on the weekend.
Regards,
Dan
For some reason a genious over at DynDNS decided to delete my DNS-account.
Simply created a new one and the lists are back online now.
Have been away, so it took a while. My apologies for any inconvenience.
Sorry, but I can't. It's a fact that D9GKX was used on its T1000UX2G4 counterpart, but it's possible newer editions have different ICs, especially the ones rated at CAS5.
Then again, maybe you're lucky. Let me know if you find out anything about them. :)
Looking forward to it. :)Quote:

Still cant open your list roon :(
Yep, its down atm
Here's an update on the Micron ICs. Note to everyone: D9GMH, D9GKX and D9GCT have been retired apparently.

D9FTB outta production also?
I just picked up a 2x2 GB DDR2-667 kit of generic Crucials that are D9FTB.
They seem to crave voltage...won't get anywhere without it, which is basically opposite of the PSC i usually run.
D9FTB is the 1Gbit version of 'regular' Fatbody ICs like D9DQW or D9DQT.
It makes sense finding them on 2GB modules as this wouldn't be possible with 512MBit ICs.
D9FTB has been out of production for a long time. Micron categorizes it as being Obsolete, so yes, it's old stock. :)Quote:
Unless they're trying to get rid of old stock?
Since it's value memory they'll probably just throw any 1Gbit IC on it that is capable of running at the desired clockspeed, and if there's still some D9FTB lying around...
ramlist has been down for a few days now... anyone know what is going on???
no.... i noticed that as well
Yes, unfortunately.
Do you have info about Kingston HyperX 1006 sticks?
I will be on location tonight (local time) to fix the problem with the server.
Don't know what is wrong, but it will be fixed. :P
Thank you in advance! :)
Done. Server has been reset and is now up and running again. :)
ty for the fix

I have a question right away:

Micron D9GKX (B6-25E) (some) -> why 'some'? What chip is used on the others?
This is a great resource thanks to r00n for compiling it, and everyone else for contributing!
What chips are used on Crucial Ballistix Tracers RED? It's a 2x2GB Kit, PC6400 CL4-4-4-12. Crucial's code is BL2KIT25664AR804. Specs @ http://www.crucial.com/eu/store/part...2KIT25664AR804
I suspect they have the same IC's as the recent single sided 1GB Ballistix Tracers, but I can't find which IC's those are either :(
Well, I ended up with CSX. 1200Mhz/cl5@2.2v. Enough for me. :)
What chips are being used in Crucial Ballistix single sided PC2 6400? They have the same part number as the double sided, not the same ram.

Roon how do you determine the date on the IC in the photo above?
BTW - awesome work on the list. I have used it several times to make purchases and it's always helped.
Simply by looking at the 8AD12 marking on them.
8 = 2008
A = week 2
D = die revision
1 = diffusion took place in USA
2 = encapsulation took place in Singapore
Thanks. Glad to hear that. :)Quote:

Thanks for the info roon. Now to check the info on my other sticks.
Here are a couple of links to get you started. :)
Thanks so much, those are very helpful.
What happened to the link mentioned in post #1???
Is there a decent alternative? techpowerUp and GoriLLaKoS did a great effort but never matched the longtitude and accuracy or lay-out of that list..
Many facturers changed to PSC Chips for Example Crucials BallistiX 800 & 1066 are using PSC now. Also OCZ's 1066 SLi Readys and several other Memory producers. D9 Chips are becoming rare in these days and it's not easy to keep such a list actual in this time. DDR3 is upcoming and the feedback for DDR2 is decreasing.
Just to inform you guys: As of tomorrow my RAM Lists will be offline for an unknown period of time.
I'm moving the server to another location and because I don't expect to be updating them a lot these days, you can use the Google cached version until they're up and running again.
Google cache: DDR2 RAM List
Google cache: DDR3 RAM List
Best regards.
When will the site be back online? Because the chached version doesn't work either :(
same question here, does anyone happen to have a screenshot or a downloaded copy of the ddr3 list?
Google cache isn't working anymore. Anyone heard anything about when the site will be back up? r00n are you still going to support this on a new server?
Yes, I am. In the meantime I put the website on a temporary server:
http://ramlist.infinityx.nl/
http://ramlist.infinityx.nl/ddr/
http://ramlist.infinityx.nl/ddr2/
http://ramlist.infinityx.nl/ddr3/
Thanks r00n, I needed that. You're awesome man.
I hate to multi post this, but this seems like as good as place as any...
What IC's are used on OCZ PC26400 SLi Edition ram sticks? I don't see them on the list and I'm trying to find out for a person.
Could you tell me what chips should theese be?
Thank you
Anyone know the ICs being used in the Mushkin ascents?
http://www.mushkin.com/doc/products/...ail.asp?id=667
http://www.mushkin.com/doc/products/...ail.asp?id=666
Well, that's the problem. Powerchip ICs always have a P/N that ends with 3G, and my guess would be that the two characters before that indicate their density, like 512Mbit or 1Gbit.
In case of these Mushkin modules the Powerchip ICs have a P/N ending with AA3G, whereas older Powerchip ICs had L93G, for example. But I can't make up anything from the rest.
On top of that, the Powerchip website doesn't list 1Gbit chips, although the joint venture between Powerchip and Elpida owns one of the largest 12" wafer facilities for DRAM production in Taiwan.
You would at least expect a more updated website...
Bottom line is: I really don't know, but it doesn't matter too much because most of their chips tend to have similar overclocks.
I still have a pair of the original G.Skill PC2-8000 HZ, 4-4-4-5 @ 2.2v been sitting in a box for about a year because my IP-35 Pro doesn't want to know them. D9GKX naturally, served me well for over a year always fan cooled. Are they worth much these days?
Hi Ronald!
Here is a photo of a Micron value stick that I got off ebay for 1$ some time ago.
It's Micron value RAM, was relabled as HP ( P/N 377724-551 ), maybe you want to add it to your list:
Micron
MT4HTF3264AY-667B2
256 MB, DDR2, 667, CL5
PC2-5300 5-5-5-12
single-sided, ICs used are D9DCG ( CC-3 )
http://img390.imageshack.us/img390/2...9dcgad9.th.jpg
This is the best photo I could get with my camera, getting a sharp image of the font on the ICs is almost impossible, the ink is very weak.
